This property is a good value in Palm Springs, nicely located slightly away from the center of town, but quiet, nice, and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly, the breakfast selection is about what we expect for a complimentary meal, and the rooms are larger than many similar BW properties. No complaints. Nice stay.

The front desk clerk was friendly, kind and offered us our choice of floors so we took the 1st floor, room 112. We added a nights stay to our visit and he brought new cards to our room.
The room was clean and quiet, the room and surrounding areas were very outdated and the furnishings didn’t seem to fit the room but we were able to tell that they are in the process of remodeling. We were happy to have a microwave and refrigerator. The breakfast was served outside by the pool which we appreciated due to COVID, it included eggs, sausage, bacon, cereals, yogurts, juices, coffee, breads and they provided gloves for serving yourself.

BW is at the southern end of town but still close to all the main attractions. While this was rated only as a 3 star hotel, it has one of the nicest pool area of hotels in this category. The pool area was ringed by palm trees and away from main roads so it is quiet and secluded. The pool and the hot tub were large and the umbrella and lounge chairs are of good quality. The breakfast area located at the pool make the experience very resort-like. We were a family of five and BW at Palmsprings is the only hotel that offered a two story two bedroom accommodation that fits our family. It even comes with a full kitchen and living and dining area. This is rare and for the price we paid, an excellent value.

We stay at this hotel for the first time as we traveled for the Christmas. We were very pleased with the accommodations and location . We will absolutely return. We had our dog with us, and it was perfect for him as well.

We stayed overnight 4/17 - 4/18/2021. The room was very clean, but really needs some attention in terms of chipping paint, counters pulling away from the wall, severely torn shower curtain (I honestly can't believe they would put it back up in the condition it was in). Also many guests gathered to get their "to go" breakfast without wearing masks. And it was crowded in there.

Best Western should visit this property, even if it is a franchise, and take their branding name off the place. It is disgusting in many areas.
The lobby and common areas on the way to the rooms are like walking through a third world country, dirty hallways, paint stripped off the floor and walls and just generally horrible. The only reason I’m even giving it 2 stars is because the room was just ‘ok’ and 2 stars is all the basic, outdated, broken furnishings deserve. The bathroom did look like it had received a minor renovation that had been done to a poor standard overall.
Front desk clerk upon evening check-in had zero personality and very robotic customer service. I politely enquired as a Diamond BW member if they had complimentary bottled water, you know, like 99% of other hotels with member elite status, I was given the answer that there were no ‘Diamond’ benefits and that the water was $2 per bottle.
This place needs to be demolished!

I would recommend avoiding this hotel if you can. It's a great price, but you get what you pay for since everything else in the Palm Springs area is significantly more expensive. My friend and I got a room with 2 beds. The bed sheets didn't appear to be cleaned. When I opened up the sheets to get under the covers for the first time, there were multiple strands of hair scattered about. The sheets were also super uncomfortable and itchy to sleep in. The shower was broken. No water pressure whatsoever. The shower head was loose and the water just fell like a waterfall instead of spraying through the shower head with any water pressure. The shower rod appeared to be bent so curtain would not close all the way. Therefore, the water from the broken shower head would just spray all over the bathroom. I reported all this to the front desk in the morning during checkout and the gentleman didn't appear to give any care about the broken shower. He just gave me an, "I'm sorry about that," as if this is a common complaint he hears often. I wouldn't give much weight to these problems if the customer service was better and more professional. If you want to avoid a shower with no water pressure and piss poor customer service then you should stay elsewhere.

We've stayed at this property twice now and each time it was great. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. They are one of the very few properties in the valley that welcome 3 pets in a room, and have pet friendly rooms on the ground floor. The rooms are older, but are well maintained and very clean. They even have a nice breakfast out by the pool area. The hotel is perfectly located at the bottom of the main drag, near the "curve", so food options are plentiful and everything else is within 15mins drive. I highly recommend this property, especially if you are traveling with pets.

Stayed 4 nights here, one night was on a voucher, other 3 we paid, on short notice booking so non- refundable. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. The stay was ok, good location, nice size room and comfy bed but... The condition of the room and certain areas of the property are very disappointing for money paid. We were going to talk to the manager until we realized this seems like an ownership/Best Western Inspection issue and we felt that moving rooms wouldn’t really change much hopefully the owners or BW management will see/read this and make some changes.

It appears any repairs made have been made by those that don’t care or by those that have no idea what they are doing. Items in the room that should be noticed by staff have not been. The paint job in our room looks like it was done with no intent to be made without going onto other walls or areas, Paint on the hallway floors outside is all over the walls. The toilet seat was basically falling off, the bathroom fan made lots of noise until it had run for 5 min (maybe warmed up), the tub/shower did not drain, shower head leaked and had low pressure compared to the sink, patches and paint over holes/scrapes in many locations (no filling holes before painting). It appeared they moved the towel rack in the bathroom at some time but just left the old holes for all to see. The controls on the air conditioner were worn off/gone completely. All the main hotel room doors open to the exterior (no hallway) and ours had no weather stripping, so the cold/heat could escape or get in, along with any parking lot noise (think a group of Harley riders pulling in/heading out). Outside at the pool area grass is growing up at the corners of walls and floors. It looks like they repaired 2 loose tiles on the steps in the pool area deck but just let the grout/cement run down the rest of the stairs. Other areas, water/overflow has run and it has just been left to discolor the walls and dirty the pool deck. There are loose tiles/grout around the pool. Sand /gravel gets on the parking lot and doesn't seem to get swept up/cleaned up. Gardening seems nonexistent.

We can only comment on one end of the hotel (pool end) so I’m not sure what the rest is like, but I can’t see how this would only be limited to one portion of the hotel. This hotel has everything you could want but needs attention, lots of it. We have never questioned the Best Western’s “non-refundable” room purchase in the past, but are going to question it in the future, for what we paid (directly through BW website) and that the property is a “Best Western” we expected more. We won’t be returning.

We stayed here for my kids lacrosse tournament for a few nights. The first night my child was pricked by a toothpick stuck in bed by his feet. The bed had been made overtop of the tooth pick. The next day the cleaning person left there dirty bucket and scrub brush in our room for us to discover that night when we returned from my kids sports.

I informed the front desk person who said he would talk to the manager and gave me an email address for the general manager who I e-mailed with my concerns.

No one contacted us in regards to either issue. When we checked out the person I had spoke to at the front desk assured me he had spoke with the manager. We still have heard nothing.

Dear jaycon2003, We would like to thank you for choosing to stay at the BW inn at Palm Springs. We apologize for the quality of your experience during your recent stay. Your feedback is important to us and apologize for the lack of response to your stay concerns. It's about 3 miles from downtown where parking is tight. Suggest you take the Buzz bus and leave your car at the hotel. It's free and convenient.
