In Ancient Greece, Delphi was considered the center of the world. A few thousand years later, that essence now resides at 550 Flower Street: a staple of downtown Los Angeles' silhouette. Once the headquarters of Superior Oil, and then, the focal point of the city's early 2000's revitalization, our address is once again rewriting the script for creativity, culture, and hospitality.

This place is well situated in downtown LA. It is near a Metro station and J line bus stops so can easily be reached via Flyaway bus from LAX to Union station where you can buy a tap card for Metro / J line. There is a supermarket nearby in the small shopping centre at 7th & Figueroa.

My room was a good size, and there was a safety deposit box, fridge for snacks etc., and a large desk for working. Free wifi was faultless. I also got a nespresso coffee maker, but you have to ask at the front desk if you want this, its not in the room. The shower room was large, but as others have said, only separated from rest of room by glass partition. I was on 7th floor, but there was still quite a bit of street noise in the night. There is a restaurant, and the food is quite nice and not bad value. All the staff I encountered at the hotel were pleasant and helpful.

Finding hotels in this part of Los Angeles that do not strain the budget presents challenges, but this appears to be a reasonable choice.

The staff was really great, so friendly and helpful. The room was spacy and clean - i had a bathtub in the middle of the room! There is a kind of a sixties vibe to the interior and furniture and for some reason I somehow felt like starring in an Austin Powers movie :)

This hotel is located downtown of Los Angeles. The hotel is old but the room was new and clean. The room was very large comparing to the other hotels I have stayed. The reception Reps were respectful and the manager (I forgot her name) was a very nice lady and very helpful. The valet parking was very fast to get your car ready (it's USD 50 per night or 24 hours, excluding tax and tips)

The negative parts for the room was the window shutter right besides the bathtub was dirty and some are shorter than the others. The door for the safe within the room was also broken, it was jammed one night and I had to use force to open the door. The light besides the small 1 person sofa was not lightning up as well, couldn't find the switch.

One suggestion I have is to include kettle for hot water in the room. I have requested a kettle one time but I had to cancel it due to I waited 30 minutes and it didn't show up at my room before going to sleep. What I suggest for other travelers is that if you are not visiting downtown of LA, you should stay in other areas which are close to attractions/sight seeing, since there is just not much to see in DTLA.

Absolutly not a 4 star hotel. Please don't get caught up with Google reviews. This is 2 star tops. The rooms are like hostels and have mattresses that sit on raised carpeted boxes under the illusion that its modern. The small receptionist was unpleasent abd unhelpful. Parking is atrocious at $25 a night and $15 a day. House keeping think that its a party shouting and talking loud early hours. Homeless people everywhere not a safe or sensible place to stay def not with children. Only plus was the $30 credit you get for food that of course exceeds $30. My advice stay a little outside of downtown.

As a returning guest of the Delphi Hotel in downtown Los Angeles, I can confidently say that this historic gem continues to exceed expectations. As an architect, I truly appreciate the simplicity and elegance of the furnishings, which perfectly complement the Art Deco architecture of this former office building turned hotel.

It's a refreshing departure from the cookie-cutter designs you might find at chain hotels: The Delphi is not your typical airport Holiday Inn Express. Here, the rooms are not just large, but they exude a sense of luxury. The open and sexy layout of the bathrooms, with the toilet tucked away in a separate water closet room, adds a touch of sophistication. The bedding and toiletries provided further enhance the feeling of indulgence.

The central location of the hotel in downtown Los Angeles makes it an ideal base for exploring the city's major museums, attractions, and business areas. The café in the lobby and the diner restaurant both boast delicious fare that never fails to delight.
Additionally, the hotel's events, such as jazz on Thursdays and the weekend brunch that add an extra layer of enjoyment to the stay.

A few years ago I visited the rooftop pool when the hotel was under different management. I eagerly anticipate its reopening, as it offers stunning views of the surrounding downtown area and provides a serene escape from the bustling city below.

In conclusion, I traveled to Los Angeles a few times this year and I always choose the Delphi for its combination of comfort, convenience, and hospitality. Whether you are here for work or play I believe that the Delphi provides a quintessential Los Angeles experience!

If you are looking for an amazing hotel in DTLA then you should check into The Delphi. This is the former Standard Hotel which was the premier hip hotel in DTLA. The Delphi is bring that vibe back. The rooms are great with views of DTLA and the location is prime being located to a metro stop 2 blocks away and tons of restaurants, bars, and other sites.

I stayed at The Delphi for three nights while visiting DTLA for a conference for work. I'm a government employee and they were the only hotel in the area that was able to honor the government per diem rate. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. The lobby, restaurant and bar areas have all been renovated recently and they're working on additional renovations to the facilities. Unfortunately, the rooftop pool was not yet complete at the time of my visit. The room itself was quite spacious, much bigger than what you usually get in a city center hotel, and I found staff to be friendly and helpful. It's in a decent location with lots of good food options around. It was a bit far from the convention center where my conference was held, but I can't fault the hotel for that. I had a great stay overall though, and I'm usually pretty selective when it comes to hotels.

The Delphi improperly charged me for a reservation I did not make. I had perused their reservation system, but I not reserved anything and had received no confirmation of any alleged reservation. I later received an email from them about my (supposed) check-in the next day, and I immediately called them. The manager I spoke to was extremely rude, refused to listed to what I had to say, and kept interrupting and talking over me. Disputing the credit card charge took months and was to no avail, as the Delphi apparently just wanted the money and would not respond directly to the information I had submitted to support my account of the situation. After this experience and the terrible service and treatment I received, I would NEVER consider staying at the Delphi.
(Note the date selected was when they claimed I had made a reservation and charged me fully for it, despite my never staying there.)

This hotel has a club that blasts music on the 2nd floor until 2:30am on the weekends. The music permeates all the way to the 5th floor. Zero heads up warning or notification to guests.

We were on the 3rd floor in room 310 right above the club. Our entire room was shaking like an earthquake. Felt like I was IN the club.

Was going to rate 1 star but guy at the front desk changed our room to a suite on the 8th floor that was quiet. +2 stars back.

Suggestion to management:

If you’re going to have a club blasting music till 2:30am on weekends at least let your guests know in advance before they book. Or shut things down at an earlier hour to respect your guests.

Decent DTLA hotel located right near the Central Library (worth a quick visit).

Rooms are spacious and mine had a bathtub/shower in the room itself. Luckily the toilet was separate and private.

Facilities included large TV, Bluetooth speaker, clothes hanging space, iron.

A little noisy from traffic during the day and evening as the windows are single-glazed but things quieten down quite quickly in DTLA so overnight it was quiet outside.

I was disappointed as there is no kettle to make tea or coffee in your room.

My simple checkout (just to leave a suitcase to collect later) was very slow as both clerks were occupied with customers who had complicated requests to be dealt with.
