Caysubic Beach Resort is one of the resorts that can be found in Puerto Azul area which houses also the Puerto Azul Golf Course and Country Club. You can either rent a room for overnight stay or just rent a cottage or tables depending on your numbers. The toilet/shower rooms are converted regular rooms so It doesn't look and feel like its purpose. The beach itself is clean, and you can have a good view of the golf course. You can bring your own food and drinks but with corkage. When we visited only boat ride is available and no other water sports activities are present. There is a small swimming pool for those who are not fond of salt water. Your own transportation is a must by the way as there is no other mode of transpo inside, rough and steep road and not advisable to travel at night. Thanks Sir Ferdz for your kind assistance ;)

We went to puerto azul expecting for a swim in the beach only to find out that there are full of jellyfishes. The sea looks dirty. The day tour fee is 500php and also the food offered was not worth the price.

This is short. Their beach are not that clean. Its like a dumpster. Thrash here and there. Sands are not that feel good to your feet. The pool is average. No shower at the public bathroom/change room. You need to take a shower outside. They have a shower area exclusive to members and golfers, but thank you, they agreed to use it even if we are not a golfer or member at all. The food, average. There is nothing to do here except when you are in group, you can enjoy their tug o war, volleyball and obstacle course. Its just an average resort.

Hello, i was a guest at Puerto Azul resort and was disappointed. The price was 4000 pesos per night but the beach house was extremely run down. There was a peep hole in the room from the outside. No shampoo or other cosmetics. The food was 1000 pesos but was given only rice and four pieces of bony chicken for two. No vegetables were offered. Trash was washing up on shore as i was swimming. The service was slow it took one day to get a refrigerator in the room and the room needed to be cleaned. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

We went to Puerto Azul last April 27 2016 to celebrate my moms birthday. There are 3 beaches there: PALICPICAN(in the clubhouse), CAYSUBIC & PANIMAN. I checked the PALICPICAN with P500/head entrance, free lunch but I didnt like the beach its far from the pool. We stayed in CAYSUBIC where the entrance fee is P300/head seniors given 20% discount and room is P2,000 for a day rate. There is also a restaurant there but we brought our own food. I like the pool its very clean no chlorine smell and just in front of the beach very nice and relaxing view.We enjoyed swimming specially the kids. The beach is also clear though at noon there are seeweeds brought by the waves but in the morning and afternoon its clear again. The rooms are beachfront and big enough for us. Recommended for family or company outings. We will surely come back and have a great time again.

In the 80s Puerto Azul resort and golf course was in its prime. A number of international golf tournaments were even held in its beautiful rolling 19 hole golf course. It is such a shame that the resorts management went through a lot of problems( some with government) , they have totally neglected this lovely place.
Several years ago, the sprawling resort, was a venue for conferences and family excursions. Now it is a "ghost town". I was there recently to meet a long lost relative from the Navy who was visiting the Naval Station in Ternate, and Puerto Azul was the only place i know that is presentable for my guests. So I told them to meet me at the restaurant in Puerto Azul. Oh boy was I surprised when i entered the resort. The main building of the resort looked forlorn with its run-down roof and fading paint on the walls of the building. There was just one receptionist in the Hall. She pointed to me where the only opened restaurant was; by the beach. I did not dare enter the used to be lovely reception hall because it was dimly lit and looked spooky. So we ate at the restaurant by the beach and saw that there were a few beachcombers there. The food was so so and the price high. What a sorry sight to see Puerto Azul. I had a few happy memories to remember though, but surely I will not recommend this place to anyone........

the area is quite good with a side beach which you can dip into. the beach area is not that good, dont expect too much, the sand is gray and rough, but i think the water is clear enough. the pool looks very clean and maintained well, it doesnt smell strong chlorine. there are some restos aroung, mostly offering korean dishes because most of the guests there are korean golf players. you might see several of those around.

We stayed there for a day tour. I had fun in the beach. The beach was clean naman. The only problem is their restroom/shower area. Walang tubig if meron man ang hina ng patak ng tubig. So i hamve to wait for 30mins for my turm to shower at less maintan ang shower area nila. Ang dumi. The entance is fee is 300 for adults, 7 below is free.

This place was clearly great once but budgets and natural disasters have seemed to take its toll. With some reinvestment and redevelopment it could be great again. The rooms we rented used to be condos and where at varying levels of repair. No WiFi in the rooms but limited connectivity at the club house. Beach and pool were pretty nice. Worth the stay if you are on a budget in the Ternate area.

We went there last April 15,2018 as a walk in guest. We didnt know that we need reservation. But thanks God that they still accommodate us. :) First, Caysubic Beach.. I rate it 5/10 .. It is full of jellyfish! Even on the sand. Second, the pool, it was nice. They have adult 4ft to 6th feet i guess and kids pool 3ft.. I rate it 8/10. The only thing i can say is.. Even in the pool, there is sand underneath the water because of people keep transferring from the beach to the pool. Overall, the place is amazing.. And instagrammable. The restaurant.. 6/10. The food is superb. But the waiting time is almost an hour considering that there are only few customers eating. Be careful on your way to Puerto Azul, very skippy road.
