The hotel staff were very friendly. Stella and Amir at the front desk could not have been nicer or more helpful. We were there three nights in a studio suite. The suite was very large with huge sofa. Nice kitchen area, reasonably equipped. Tub/shower combo in large bathroom. The first night the king bed sagged quite a bit. We spoke to Stella and she immediately offered to switch us out for the next two nights, which we did. We checked out a few rooms and all of the beds were soft but we did decide on one that was not too bad. Thank you for your patience, Stella! The hotel is very well situated to walk to the shows and also many of downtown Toronto's sightseeing area. Valet parking is expensive at $50, but there is a large outdoor parking lot just a one minute walk away. Breakfast was served in a very nice seating area with fireplace. The breakfast was included. Food was OK but only one of three days was the sausage non-pork (so many people do not eat pork any more!). There were trays so you could take your food up to your room which was very nice. The hotel is less than a 10-minute walk from Union Station. I would stay there again.

Dear Cayman J, Greetings from Residence Inn Downtown Toronto/Entertainment District, thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience. Foremost, thank you so much for your kind words and for recognizing Stella and Amir's efforts. It is always encouraging to read positive feedback, particularly when it comes from those who matter the most – you! Allow me to apologize to you, the valet price of $50.00 which includes in and out privileges is competitive with the hotels around the Greater Toronto Area - GTA. As we in a downtown location, please note no hotel in this area as well as airport strip offers complimentary parking with exception of hotels located in suburban areas. All feedback is taken seriously, and we hope you will stay with us again for a much-improved experience the next time your travels bring you this way. We hope to welcome you back to stay with us again whenever your travels bring you back to Toronto!

Our first time staying here and we are so pleased with the cleanliness of our room and the entire hotel. Housekeeping staff, Litia, is absolutely wonderful in cleaning our room. Our son was cold with just the wooly blanket so Litia took it upon herself to provide him with a duvet blanket…how wonderful is that! Huge thank you goes to Litia…just wish other Marriott properties have housekeeping staff like Litia👍

Our one bedroom unit is ultra clean with very comfortable beds and pillows. The water pressure is good with fast hot water and the kitchen is so handy. We mostly use the microwave and full sized fridge iso stove top and dishwasher. Provided in the room is dish detergent, sponge, dish cloths, dishwasher powder, along with coffee and tea bags.

We would also like to thank all the hard working staff in the breakfast buffet…cleaning and sanitizing constantly with smiles and providing an array of breakfast foods for us that is never empty. Every day the selection is different. Some days it is bacon and chicken sausages and beans with croissants, other days are waffles, pork sausages and mini chicken sausages with veggies. Regular items always include scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, pastries and breads, oatmeal, yogurt and fresh fruit and juices. Their breakfasts are very good and good quality. The staff here also work very hard so let’s recognize that by leaving a tip! You would tip at a restaurant so why wouldn’t you do the same here!?

We also find this property so functional as it has washing machine and dryers on 3 of the floors. Each wash and dry is $2 and $1 for detergent. All machines are very clean and new.

From the hotel, we can walk to downtown like Easton Center or St Lawrence market in just less than 30 minutes. We can even walk to the Old Chinatown in about the same time.

We used Enterprise rent a car for the day at 200 Front street and it was a good senior rate $97 for a full size so we can drive to NOTL. The walk from the hotel is less than 8 minutes.

Lastly, huge thank you goes to Ms. Naik for looking after our reso and ensuring our stay was nothing less than perfect and a very comfortable one. Ms. Naik and all the staff at this property are such huge assets to the Marriott brand! Thank you to all.

We stayed Sept. 24-26 and the hotel is as advertised in photos. We had a 1 bedroom suite (corner), which had a king and sofa bed for our family of 5. It was away from the elevators and very quiet. We were on the 21st floor, and the room had two large windows with city views and plenty of light.

The hotel location was great (downtown with plenty of stores and restaurants in walking distance) and the check in process was smooth. I requested an infant crib when checking in, which was very quickly put in our room (when we opened the door, it was already there).

All the staff were professional and attentive for every interaction. We had a minor issue with the room temperature (we were cold and the hotel hadn’t switched to heat yet). I requested additional blankets and they were immediately bought to our room. The maintenance guy was also sent to our room and he explained the no heat issue (the hotel hadn’t switched to heat yet). He said he couldn’t do anything about the hotel not not switching to heat but provided us with a space heater instead, which was a perfect substitute.

The pool was open. We reserved a 45 min slot (max requirement of 10 people per mgmt) and had it to ourselves.

Complimentary breakfast was okay, they had a decent variety of options to choose from on the menu and they made a plate for you to-go (no buffet). Valet was $40, and they were very patient with us constantly forgetting items in the car.

Overall, very good value for the money paid. My son didn’t want to leave so we’ll be staying here again soon.

The hotel's great location in the entertainment district has made it one of our go to spots over the years.

It has always been clean and pleasant with a nice complimentary breakfast in the morning.

With it being a Residence Inn, rooms are spacious with dining appliances and a larger sitting area.

The only downfall in my mind is the cost of parking which forces us to drop our bags and park in a nearby lot.

Three of us spent two nights here. Check in was quick and the lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful. Upon arriving to our room, we found dirty dishes in the dishwasher and stains on the bed. The front desk staff was helpful with immediately getting us a new room. We found a baby toy in the new room, unfortunately these rooms are not cleaned well. Our hairdryer in the room did not work. I was also disappointed to have had both rooms be right near the elevators even though I specifically requested in my reservation that I didn’t want to be close to elevators. The rooms were spacious which was nice and I enjoyed that we were able to book a time for the pool. The complimentary breakfast was only from 7-9 which was unfortunate. I did however enjoy the location of this hotel, we enjoyed the Starbucks across the street, Sunset Grill for breakfast a little further down the street and it was not a far walk to attractions and stores. Front desk staff were very helpful and nice.

We chose Residence Inn for July long weekend to be centrally located to restaurants and within walking distance to Roger’s Centre. The location of this hotel was wonderful about 1-2 blocks away from the arena. The hotel itself was very clean and the front desk staff were ALL so wonderful and friendly. We were able to check in early and were accommodated with a late check out of 1pm which was appreciated.

My only critique would be housekeeping. Housekeeping is apparently supposed to be offered every second day, however, nobody came to our room to even empty garbages, restock clean towels or dishwasher pods. When paying over 300+ per night this was a bit disappointing.

Overall, I’d recommend choosing Residence Inn for a weekend stay!

I stayed 4 nights in the Marriott Residence Inn in a king studio. Check in was very quick. My room was on the 14th floor, the view from the room was not great as it faced the electrical plant. The room was very spacious with a small kitchen area of a microwave, hob, large fridge freezer and dishwasher. There was a sofa, a couple of desks and large TV.

The room was very clean but dated. On the last night the room was never cleaned.

Breakfast was ok, thought there might be more choice as it’s such a large hotel.

Wifi was fast.

The location was excellent, 5 min walk to CN about 15 mins to Union station which is great for getting the UP to and from the airport. Closest metro is St Andrew’s.

Overall my stay was comfortable, however felt the room was very overpriced.

Nice hotel within very close walking distance to the CN Tower. We really enjoyed our stay except that the air conditioning temp seemed to have a limit and our room never felt completely cool.

Room key required for elevator floor access which I like for security purposes.

I requested a high room to stay away from street noise - I think lower floors would also be ok as noise didn’t seem to be much of a problem. Was hoping for a view but ended up with a city/sides of other buildings view which was fine as we were on the go most of the time.

Room was clean and spacious and a great setup for families. We took advantage of the full kitchen as we had been traveling for a while.

Breakfast was good with many selections. I appreciated that they were seating people for breakfast as sometimes it’s difficult to find a clean space at those breakfast areas. Lots of attention was paid to the details from what was served to “this table is occupied” signs. They also provided milk alternatives which was great!

We used the pool and hot tub and both were nice. The floor is slippery so definitely use caution there. They were out of towels but I saw a maintenance person and he very quickly went and got towels.

This location is perfect for families and is walking distance from major attractions.

Very smooth check in and out process!

4 of us stayed at this Beautiful hotel on a Monday during the Covid crisis. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and courteous. But in particular, Ray and Amir were exceptional. There was an issue with the wifi and we were immediately upgraded to a larger room with excellent internet access. The pool was all ours for an hour and the takeaway breakfast was welcomed. We will stay at this property again when in the city!

This hotel was probably one of the nicest ones we have ever stayed in. The building and the rooms were very clean and updated. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect so we could walk to just about everywhere we wanted to go (Ripleys Aquarium, CN Tower, Rogers Arena, Hockey Hall of Fame, etc.) The valet parking was expensive at $50 a day but it was nice just pulling up to the front and letting them take care of it. The included breakfast was very nice and they tell you what times are busiest if you want to avoid that. We were on the 16th floor and had a nice view of the CN Tower. No problems with the elevators. The pool is small, but perfect for cooling off and letting kids play. I would definitely stay here again.

There are many options - fruit, vegetables, eggs, bacon, yogurt. I am not very versed in gluten free but I think there may be some. I did not see any gluten free bread options. Do not know about markets or grocery stores but there might be.
