The David Kempinski Tel Aviv enjoys acclaim for its prime location near the beach, offering stunning city and sea vistas. While the hotel's range of amenities usually meets guests' expectations, the gym and lounge have received some criticism. Opinions on the hotel's value are polarized, with experiences varying from exceptional to disappointing. The establishment's cleanliness and modern atmosphere are frequently praised, though slight wear and an occasional lobby odor have been mentioned. Service is often commended, especially the 'Ladies in Red' and pool staff, despite occasional setbacks in room allocation and concierge service. The rooms are generally celebrated for their luxury and comfort, yet some guests have noted service and cleanliness inconsistencies.

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed at The David Kempinski Tel Aviv and LOVED it! The room we stayed in was on a high floor facing the beach. The room was quiet and well appointed. Plenty of closet and drawer space. The bathroom was lovely with separate tub and shower. Complimentary breakfast in a beautiful restaurant with delicious and plentiful choices from the buffet. Dinners at the restaurant, Sereia, were excellent too. All of the staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Noam Katz, Food & Beverage Director, for making our stay very welcoming. The Horizon Lounge is stunning with a beautiful balcony view from the 22nd Floor. Plenty of delicious food throughout the day and evening. Service was always very friendly and helpful. Perfect location to enjoy the beach and walks on the Promenade. The David Kempinski Tel Aviv is the only place to stay in Tel Aviv!

We visited the Kempinski and had a very solid stay. We didn't expect our room to be ready when we arrived at around 11AM but it was avaiable shortly thereafter. The room itself was modern and clean. It wasn't the largest hotel room I have been in but it was organized in a way that made spatial sense. Everyone who worked at the hotel was amiable and helpful. The buffet breakfast was really excellent! I am confident that this is the best hotel in Tel-Aviv. While other travelers seem to have experienced "new hotel kinks" in their stays, the biggest "kink" we got that there was often only one concierge working at a time. This often meant long response times to e-mails or being referred to the front desk who was not as knowledgable about dining options. We look forward to coming back soon!

Dear Michael, We are so pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay with us, this means a lot! Thank you for taking the time to point out our breakfast; our chef and culinary team work creatively to showcase delicious, local and seasonal items. Our concierge team is indeed small (and very knowledgeable) at the moment, but hopefully next time you visit it will have grown. Thank you again for this feedback and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.

I highly recommend you to spend your next vacation in The David Kempinski Tel Aviv Hotel. The hotel is located in the heart of the city, on the beautiful beach and in a walking distance from excellent restaurants and many other attractions. The hotel is new and the rooms are extremely luxurious and convenient; soft bedsheets, perfect towels and extremely strong water pressure in the shower. The infinity pool is the perfect place to relax and the service all around the hotel is extremely good. The hotel and its staff will do everything to make your vacation unforgettable and good.

Very disappointing from check in to check out experience. The staff is unable to perform responsibilities, always having to confer with with one or two others,
It took two room changes both at additional expense to get the room we booked. The "Lounge included "is actually an additional charge, Garbage not emptied, though tip taken, empty apologies. Dinner reservation never booked. Broken glass in cocktail lounge , No attempt to offer any refund for errors, We felt sorry for the staff having to work with little support from management. Much money spent on branding and advertising not service or amenities as advertised. The attitude is you should be grateful to just be at this not elegant at all hotel. Dressed up 3rd rate. Glad I was with my sister as the toilet is a glass partition to shower , sinks and bathtub....much laughter between sisters but I can't imagine anyone else laughing. This hotel is joke.

A beautiful hotel whose service levels vary between the outstanding and the dreadful.

The front office and the "Lady in Red" teams are outstanding. They all go the extra yard for customer service.

The food and beverage staff are inconsistent some good some awful. The attention to basic details are often sadly lacking. However, the quality of the food is excellent. The bar staff are all friendly knowledgeable and efficient.

House keeping is shockingly poor. Consistently unable to clean the room properly. Unable to follow basic guest requests.

The outside public areas were still not quite complete. Access to them was via heavy doors none of which had motors to help open. In fact they were propped open with stones creating a significant trip hazard. Additionally, the outside areas were often left cluttered with dirty tableware which staff failed for hours to clean.

Overall this hotel significantly fails to meet the very high standards the Kempinski brand usually offers. With hard work the hotel may achieve those ideals. The issue for the management is are they able to achieve that quickly enough to satisfy future guests.

I received the worst service from a 5 star hotel in my entire life and this was probably the worst Kempinski Hotel I've ever been to. I want to give 1 star but instead I give 2 stars because the doorman is super friendly (he recognized us and greeted us personally) and literally was the best thing out of my experience during my stay. The food was so-so. The housekeeping is terrible. First, when we entered the room, there's an empty Evian water on the small space by the window opening that the housekeeping missed cleaning. Then I found out that the reed diffuser bottle in the bathroom was empty. I highlighted it to the housekeeping TWICE but until we checked out from the hotel, they never refill it. One day they left towels and pillowcases on the sofa. Another day they left the dirty towels in the bath tub. And they call themselves a 5 star hotel? It's giving Kempinski a really bad name.

new hotel in a great location near the Carmel Market and within easy walking distance of the many cafes and restaurants of Jaffa, Neve Tzedek and north Tel Aviv. The hotel has 31 floors, floor to ceiling windows and the views are incredible. We stayed in a Deluxe Horizon Lounge room with partial seaview and thoughtful touches such as reading lights, large bottles of water, great wardrobe space and drawers. There is a sliding door which opens to the outside but no balcony. We loved the beautiful pool (25m long) which gets the sun after about 11:00 and the staff will bring you towels and free bottles of water. We also loved the Horizons Lounge which serves food throughout the day and an open bar. The lounge has a balcony with seating where we watched the sunset and the fly-past on Independence Day. Breakfasts are an amazing spread of salads, fruit, cheeses, fish, bread and pastries baked in-house with orders taken for eggs and the food carries on throughout the day. We wanted to make special mention of Anna and Maia in the Lounge who were always on hand with a bright smile and cheery conversation and eager to help and chat. Anna arranged a special birthday cake for our daughter which was a lovely touch. An email from Maia was waiting for us when we got back with the ingredients for the beetroot salad that my husband had become obsessed with. The floral displays in the Lounge and indeed all over the hotel change frequently and are beautiful. A special mention also to Michael in Food and Beverage who oversees all the food at the hotel, including the Lounge. There are a few snags here and there which will be corrected over time, but overall there is little to complain about. We exchanged an emotional farewell with Anna when we checked out as she had become our friend by that stage and saying goodbye was difficult. We will be back!

Excellent city location with stunning views over Tel Aviv and the Mediterranean Sea. Unfortunately, the first room we received was not in the category we were entitled to, and only after complaining to staff were we given the upgrade we had paid for.

The hotel itself is huge and stylishly decorated, however the amenities are not up to standard. The pool, although open, was not heated, and could not be used by any of the guests during the colder winter months. Furthermore, the gym and spa area are very small and located underground, which does not make their use inviting at all.

The selection of restaurants was also disappointing. There is only one main restaurant, which only serves seafood. Meat is served in the bar, but the food selection here is very limited. The breakfast is average, with traditional Israeli dishes on offer, but not much attention paid to the quality of the food. We also decided to spend new years eve at the hotel, and there was unfortunately to much entertainment for guests. On one evening, the fire alarms began flashing, and continued to do so for many hours. The hotel staff seemed to be unbothered by this, and did not answer our questions as to why the alarm was on.

We booked a few tours to Jerusalem and Bethlehem through the hotel directly - our first tour guide (to Jerusalem) did not give us much information about the area. After complaining to the hotel, we received a very friendly, knowledgeable lady as our guide to Bethlehem.

Overall, our trip to Tel Aviv was a fascinating experience. The David Kempinski, although well located and decorated, still need improvement in terms of dining, amenities and the friendliness of staff.

We sincerely appreciate your insights and are glad to hear that you enjoyed the stunning views over the city and the Mediterranean Sea. The hotel is well designed in every way. Spacious rooms, lobby and restaurant. Amazing food and service during dinning (especially on Shabat) and breakfast.
The location is the top attribute here, just in front of the beach and near many restaurants and main streets in Tel Aviv.
The Horizon Lounge has a breathtaking view, with amazing food and services definitely it worth having this option.
The staff is very international, with many spoken languages and kind people with passion for service, especially Alex who was ready to take on our needs during our whole stay in the Suites. We did not worry about anything, and he was ready to help in every way, from restaurant reservations, transportation, synagogue timetables, room service and basketball tickets, to helping with our needs with baby food and others. Definitely made our stay even better.
Hope to be back soon!

This new hotel is certainy glamourous at first glance. We had a corner room on level 27 with a breathtaking view of the beach and down the coast. The room however was designed for looks rather than for practical considerations. There was very little storage space for 2 travellers with suitcases to unpack. There were no hooks in the bathroom and when we arrived, there were no cakes of soap to wash hands.
The horizon club was nice but the food offering in the far corner was certainly quite poor, lacking in a variety of selections which one expects ina hotel such as this.
