We stayed at Chatrium a few times. All stay with remarkable experience. This time was for our wedding anniversary. We chose Chatrium again for the celebration.
Due to busy work, we confirmed the trip very late and thus only Grand Suite one bedroom skyline river view room was available which was rennovated last year. The room was spacious and clean with amazing river view. Every morning and night, we went out and sat at the balcony to enjoy the nice weather and view. Really very relaxed.
The location of the hotel was very good with free shuttle boat to the pier/BTS, or proceed to took another free shuttle boat to various sight seeing places, such as Siam Icon. Staff was very kind and polite with customer-oriented service. Our day was brightened by a buffet breakfast with different choice of cuisines. There were a few restaurants providing differnt types of cuisines to meet our different needs. We tried the lobby cafe and restaurant on ground floor. The food was delicious with reasonable price. There was a 7-11 shop nearby which was very convenient to buy drinks or snack food.
Thanks Chatrium for giving us an unforgettable trip each time. We highly recommended Chatrium to those visitors who searched for a hotel with quality in Bangkok.

We stayed at the Chatrium Riverside for 5 nights in the middle of January. The room was very spacious with a mini kitchen. We had booked a river view and requested a high floor. We were on 19th floor with fantastic views of the river. There was plenty of storage space and even an iron and ironing board. All the plug sockets were universal and also had usb chargers so we didn’t need any adapters (from uk - not sure about others). We took advantage of the pool (towels provided) which was lovely to cool off after a day sightseeing. There were always plenty of sun beds and it was relatively quiet, given the size of the hotel.
We only had breakfast at the hotel. Plenty to choose from, full English breakfast, continental and Asian. Lots of fresh fruit and juice and good coffee. You could either sit outside or inside but even early in the morning it was rather hot outside. Breakfast was very busy but as a couple we had no problems finding a table.
We used the lobby bar a couple of times but it was quite expensive and had no atmosphere.

The hotel is situated about 20 mins walk from the ferry and sky train station (Saphorn Taksin)A shuttle boat from the hotel is provided at regular intervals. We used the sky train which is a great way to get about and bought daily tickets. You can also get a daily pass or single trip tickets for the boat to travel further along the river.
There was a Starbucks, a Japanese restaurant and a 7/11 convenience store right by the hotel but not much else, you will need to walk at least 15 mins. If you go further down the river (turn right at the main road) you will get to ASIATIQUE an outdoor entertainment complex with cafes, bars, a theatre restaurants and markets, which is a great place for eating out, we ate here every night. There’s a great atmosphere, plenty of choice. We walked there and got a cab back (about 200 bhat, £5)
We had a great stay here, the staff were very helpful and the room and breakfast were great. However although the shuttle boat was provided we would have preferred to be closer to the transport links.

We stayed here at the beginning and end of our recent trip to Thailand and Cambodia. We have always stayed in central Bangkok previously but because of the traffice and the fumes we opted this time to stay on the river.
We were given a wonderful welcome and were allocated a room on the 7th floor on the first occasion and the 25th on the secend stay, both with river views. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable, the staff in the hotel were attentive and friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed both our stays. There is a free shuttle boat which links up with the metro and skytrain system and the river boats so getting around is easy, as it aways is on public transport in Bangkok.
The breakfast served in the restaurant overlooking the river was good with a plentiful buffet. We also ate in here in the evenings and everything we had was delicious and well cooked.
As we were here over the Chinese New Year period the hotel was extremely busy during our 2nd stay and as we were on the 25th floor it sometimes took a while before we were able to get in the lift. However, the staff in the hotel although very busy did not lose their cheerfulness and their willingness to help. The restaurant staff are to be complimented on the way they were handling the busy breakfast service, the buffet was refilled quickly and efficiently as were the coffee cups on the tables and it was all done with a smile. We will most certainly stay here again, probably next January when we return to the area.

We stayed in Chatrium Riverside 6 days, so we got really good impression. We had a Suite with riverview, spectacular view direct from the bad! Very nice. It is a big hotel where many groups arrive every day, in the morning check inn area is busy, the breakfast rooms are in these rush hours crowdy and loud, so look for a place outside or come earlier and enjoy the breakfast which is really spectacular. If you don’t like the coffee, next to the hotel is Starbucks. The hotel owns a boot, so you can go cost free to the quay. Close to the hotel is also a bus station, traveling by bus is very cheap and funny, you get everywhere you want, we can really recommend it. Service in the hotel is really very good, clear recommendation.

Stunning location overlooking the river. We booked a one bedroom suite with city view which also had part river views which was stunning from the 26th floor (2306).
On arrival we were greeted with a 5 star service from the moment we stepped out of the car by concierge.
Reception: Totally 5 star meet and greet, excellent communication throughout are stay and even took the time to direct us to our suite.
Suite: Quality bedding and linen, big fluffy white towels. Good shower & bath with robes and slippers to match. Huge TV in lounge and another large flat screen TV in bedroom. Huge comfortable bed with very good quality pillows & bed linen. Phone charging usb sockets each side of bed. Wonderful panoramic views on 2 aspects of bedroom and amazing views from huge balcony. Extremely good air conditioning both in bedroom and lounge controlled separately, very quiet running. Kitchenette with everything you could need , very big fridge /freezer & microwave.
Bars/ Restaurants. Again excellent service, stunning decor with comfortable chairs and a nice atmosphere to relax and people watch.
The restaurant we ate at has a fabulous menu to satisfy the fussiest of eaters.
They also have a river shuttle to take you to central pier where you can then take a river bus to all different parts of Bangkok for 30 baht each. We were suppose to get off at china town but missed the stop so we landed up going on a two hour river cruise up to the last stop and then returning to get off at china town on the way back, all for 60 baht for 2 ( equivalent to £1-20). That was the cruise ticked off the partners bucket list 😊
We didn’t use the pool or gym on this occasion as we were to busy taking in the sites of Bangkok.
We are now off to Krabi for 6 nights then returning to Bangkok on the 14th for 3 nights.
So pleased we chose the Chatrium for our Bangkok stay. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else now when in Bangkok. Totally 5* standards & service. Perfectly located. Superb in every way. Couldn’t fault it.

Chatrium Riverside is perfect for families looking stay slightly away from the CBD area yet in a desirable and relatively quieter location.
The rooms are spacious, clean, modern and the staff are just fantastic.
We returned from a long day trip on my birthday to find a specially decorated room and the staff doubled it up by putting a nice little birthday cake whilst we were out. What a delight!
Definitely worth considering this hotel if you are travelling with family.

We originally booked a hotel in central Bangkok but were advised ( as it was our first time) a lot of people prefer being by the river to get away from the madness, so we chose the Chatrium and are so glad we did.
It has its own free shuttle boat which takes you directly to the sky train port within 10 mins or so which means you can get anywhere else in the city from there via the train or other boats and being on the riverside makes interesting viewing of the boats and river traffic.
The correspondence I had from the hotel prior to our visit was exceptional and they could not do enough for us. Upon arrival, the staff are so friendly and warm and check in was an absolute breeze, despite it being pretty busy. The hotel is quite large but also has a nice feel to it. The views from our 31st floor room were breathtaking over both sides of the river and the city, and the room was an excellent size with a sofa, kitchenette area, and a nice big very comfortable bed.
Breakfast was absolutely fantastic and the choice is amazing. Although it was quite busy the times we went down, getting seated wherever we wanted was easy and helping yourself to whatever you fancied took no time at all.
For a relatively large hotel, it runs like absolute clockwork and the staff, facilities, location, rooms and food definitely makes it a top choice for a visit to Bangkok.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone- you will not be disappointed.

When I first made a reservation with Booking.com for the Chatrium I was sure to put "Quiet Room" into my request. Upon check in I was led to a room just above the pool deck. Obviously the opposite of quiet. In addition, the room had more wear and tear than I expected and a strange oder. To their credit, when I went to the front desk they quickly offered another room which was on a much higher floor and was in much better shape. While the hotel was very touristed, the breakfast was pretty good with offerings for travelers from just about any geographic location. Their was a 7-11 within an easy walk to purchase bottled water or other items. Perhaps the best offering was the free river ferry service to a central railway stop and other destinations in the city. The front desk and the concierge service was excellent. For those looking for luxury I would suggest another hotel. For those looking for acceptable value the Chatrium Riverside offers that and convenience.

We were travelling in the month of December with checkin on 21st early morning around 8 am. The staff was courteous especially Sadarat who helped us with early check in and led us to our room. The room was spacious river facing with view of IconSiam and Sathon pier. The housekeeping staff was prompt to respond to any queries all the time.
The hotel had a good spread of breakfast and area was well staffed with lot of space within the building and alongside the Chao Phraya river.
All in all, we had an amazing comfortable stay at Chatrium and would definitely recommend this property to others👍

Everything about this hotel was exceptional. From the moment we were greeted on arrival by the attentive and warm staff, the place felt special. We took a river view balcony suite - it was awesome. The views were amazing and the room was massive. Some friends who live in Bangkok said our room was bigger than their flat !
Apart from a large sitting area, there was a kitchen area and a dining area, plus, of course, the bathroom (bath and shower) and a large bedroom with a wonderfully comfortable bed. For one of our nights there, we had our friends over and stayed in the room, on the balcony - very well looked after by the hotel's excellent room service - watching the activity on the river below. We also liked the complimentary shuttle boat, which was frequent. The hotel has a great location, with only a short taxi ride from most of Bangkok or easy access to the Skytrain from the nearby pier where the hotel's shuttle boat drops off. The views from the top floor were magnificent.

- In the garden area near our bamboo trees and Lobby Lounge Terrace on lobby floor, both areas open all the times.
- Designated area on pool level which opens as pool operation hours from 6 am to 8 pm.

Being situated in a tropical country, we consider it unsustainable to offer a heated pool. The pool temperature ranges from min. 23 degrees Celsius in winter time, to approx. 27 degrees Celsius in summer.
