We stayed 7 nights. No room service washed our own towels etc in washer provided.1 wash powder supplied for 7 nights. Also no bathroom cleaning products in cupboard to clean basin and toilet over the 7 days.
Sheets were crisp and rooms very clean. Very large shower.
Unfortunately there were no blockout curtain or blinds in bedroom just wooden shutters so the light worked us so early every day. Also being on the main road the traffic noise is also loud.
The view is stunning and big balcony was lovely.
The pool was nice and could lean over to look out at sea. It had a line of dirt around water line so needed a clean. But pool water was nice and clean... spa didn’t work. They also had trouble with Telstra connection and we had no TV etc first night.
Only saw owner once or twice but offered to drive us places if needed.
It is in a walking distance to shops and supermarket but it’s a steep hill up the drive to the elevator.
All in all it was a nice stay hence 4 star rating today.

I booked a 1brm apt for 5 nights and when my flight got cancelled and I needed an extra night, Colleen sorted it out with no issues.
The main area of the apt is spacious with enough items for most holiday makers. There was a huge TV with Freeviews+ and Foxtel included. Awesome for some binge watching!
bedroom was cosy and hard to move around if the shutters were open. Great Bed. Ensuite was large with big shower and plenty of bench space.
I stayed over a weekend and only heard other guests early in the night, most noise came from the road (yes it can be a little busy, it's the only road through town!) or from airlie night spots.
The drive is steep, however there are steps beside the driveway and then stairs up to the room.
The pool was awesome with two depths and is usually heated.
In Airlie, with one main road there will always be a trade off. Stay on the beach side for noise but no hills or move hill side for an upwards hike with possible less noise.

Only item to note is that if you arrive after reception is closed your key gets left in an envelope taped to the reception door, travelling alone it would be nice to see them put in a key safe for late arrivals.

This will totally be my place to come back to. It was so close to walk to everything that i needed and 99% of the walk is flat!

Faboulos hosts who made you feel at home on arrival. Booking made directly with hosts made for better transfer from airport and arrival at apartments. Apartments are well located centrally in town with a 5 minute walk to all shops, restaurants and bars. One bedroom apartment is spacious and well furnished with a superb ocean views and outlook from balcony to marina and township. We are coming back.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit for 5 nights. Some views of the Airlie marina and a great location to Airlie beach and all the shops and restaurants. For the price paid we were disappointed as unfortunately the appliances in the room need some serious TLC. We booked a room with a kitchen as wanted to cook a couple of simple meals after long day reef trips. First was the kids bedroom aircon, we reported it the first day and was inspected and fixed after the 2nd night. But on day 3 the more issues started, main air con leaked water randomly. On the oven we asked which was fan force setting as all the icons were rubbed off but even after being advised every mode turned the full grill on at max heat burning everything we put in there. The dishwasher came on with a warning light and stopped working. The range hood barely did anything, so cooking breakfast meant setting off the smoke alarms which seems to be a common problem as it’s hanging from the ceiling from people bashing it to turn off I suspect. We gave up as quite frankly didn’t want to spend our holiday worrying about someone else’s maintenance issues with people coming in and out during our stay. Maybe just bad luck for us but I have never stayed somewhere with so many issues. Saying that fridge, washer and dryer worked fine apart from dryer also setting off smoke alarm
:-(

We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and wanted a lovely room with a view (which we had specifically asked for). Unfortunately we were allocated room number one which had very little view as the garden obscures any view at all and a huge electrical pole is directly In front of this room. The pool was right next to this room which did not make it very private either.

The room was comfortable and fairly spacious with a kitchen which we didn’t use. The bathroom was adequate but lacked some little things like a soap holder in the shower and extra towel rails. Little extra touches would make it easier to use. The toilet had a tendency to block easily and on occasion we had to use the outdoor pool toilet as the room’s one was blocked.

The location of this property is good as it is walking distance to the shops, restaurants and the marina, but keep in mind the busy road is directly in front.

Despite our initial disappointment we still had a wonderful time in Airlie beach and hope to return one day but probably staying elsewhere. If we were on a higher level the rating for this review would be much higher.

After weeks of travelling on a cruise ship and staying in hotels, motels and cabins, it was a pleasure to spend three nights in a spacious Portside Whitsunday apartment with distinct living, eating and sleeping areas. Our unit was nicely furnished and very much like the many comfortable time-share properties we have stayed in over the years. It was good to have our own private terrace and to be only a few steps away from the pool.

The owners, Colleen and John, were friendly and helpful with excellent guidance on local tour companies, shuttle buses, etc.

At first sight, the location of Portside Whitsunday Apartments seems just OK. However, it didn’t take long for us to realize that it was actually an excellent spot, with the local shuttle buses stopping right outside the door and the main shopping/restaurant area starting just 100 yards away. Being at one end of the town, the apartments were also close to the start of the 3.5km coastal walk to Cannonvale Bay that took us past marinas, swimming lagoons, secluded coves and some attractive properties. Another bonus of the location was that it did not require a hill climb to reach, unlike much of Airlie Beach accommodation on the steep slopes above the town.

We would happily return to the very pleasant little town of Airlie Beach and to the Portside Whitsunday Apartments.

Great stay after we got changed from lower room # 16 located at front of hotel close to the road it didn't feel private at all and staying with our 15month old the room had internal stairs not safe for our walking toddler we soon got changed to a higher level room #12 which was amazing the stairs to rooftop where just out our front door all very private. The views where amazing! Beds very very comfortable and apartment was lovely. Air con works great also. Only down fall where there where a few stairs up to 3rd floor no lift which could be tiring but great if you like a work. The noise from main street was a little loud in our room and no blockout curtains made it hard if you like a day sleep. I didn't get pics of room but is lovely with 2 bedroom private roof top Jacuzzi with bbq, all utensils and cooking needs avalible.

We stayed here for four nights in a one bedroom apartment. The apartment was lovely, clean, spacious and well equipped.
The staff are very helpful and friendly.
The location is awesome, close to restaurants and the Port of Airlie and a smaller beach in walking distance that seems to only be used by locals.
A must is to relax by the pool and look out over the marina and out to the islands.
We would definitely stay here again and can’t recommend it highly enough.

This is out third visit to Portside, Airlie, staying in a one bedroom unit overlooking the water. Love the location of this place so handy to shops and restaurants. The quality of these units is fantastic, beds are so comfortable, furnishings and fittings of very high standard. Pool is heated and has lovely views overlooking the water as do the balconies. Great wifi. Colleen the manager is always happy and helpful. Will hopefully be staying here again when next in Airlie.

We stayed here for four nights in a two bedroom apartment. The apartment was clean, spacious and well equipped. It was great to have a washing machine to do a couple of loads before heading out to Daydream. The managers are very helpful and friendly, even offering to drive us to the marina because it was such a warm day. The location is awesome, so close to shops, restaurants, supermarket, bus stops and the Port of Airlie. The poor area is small, but it was never crowded. Water temp was nice too. We will definitely stay here again and can’t recommend it highly enough.
