The room and the staff were just great. Carmina, the manager I think, went beyond my expectations to adjust to my changing schedule due to flight cancellations.
One little thing is that rooms are thoroughly cleaned only once a week if you are there for a long stay (every day you get fresh towels, amenities, and a basic clean-up). I wish the complete clean up were done twice a week; a quick carpet vacuum and bathroom cleaning wouldn't cost much but would make a nice difference. Overall I had a great stay and would recommend it for long stays.

I’ve never been disappointed with any of my stays at Meriton Adelaide Street. From the moment I was greeted at reception by Tom, every detail was handled effortlessly. Our visit to Bris was to celebrate daughters 50th birthday, and for the views, I requested 2 Bedroom apartment on a higher level floor, which on checkin I discovered was not a River view, so I decided to pay the upgrade to an Altitude Level. WOW. @ Level 68, the view over Brisbane River and City surrounds was fabulous. And was worth the extra on this special occasion.
Had we all been out and about most of the day & night, it might not have been necessary, but on this occasion it was a talking point with family while we celebrated. The beds are comfortable and linens good quality. The apartment was tip top, providing full kitchen including an Nespresso machine for good coffee. The indoor heated pool and spa was not used on this occasion. Location is only a short walk down the lane to the River Walk way to Riverside Quay, and the Free City Hopper Ferry every 30 mins. A convenience store is on the corner, for milk and essentials.
Thank you Tom, and Meriton staff. superior accommodation for those needing more than one night in the city.

My wife and I recently completed a long (6 week) stay here. This included 2 weeks in self isolation after arriving in Australia from overseas.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom altitude suite and the views from so high up (the river, Story Bridge and across to Kangaroo Point/New Farm) are fantastic. The room itself is very comfortable and has all that you'd need for an extended stay. Beds are very comfy, showers great and the place spotlessly clean. Housekeeping is, obviously, suspended for the moment but replacement towels/bedding etc are all still available.
I should say that the duty managers/reception staff (especially Carmen) were all fantastically helpful, especially when we couldn't leave our suite. They assisted with deliveries to our suite and always remained very professional with distancing, PPE always worn etc.
We have stayed with Meriton before and will continue to do so in the future. Very clean, comfortable and with helpful staff. Can't really ask for much more.

I want to start this review my saying that I’m a fan of the Meriton Suites brand, having previously stayed at their hotels in Bondi, Mascot, North Sydney, Chatswood and North Ryde. My experiences at these Hotels was the reason why I booked at Meriton Suites, Adelaide Street for my recent trip to Brisbane.

Unfortunately, my experience with the Meriton Suites on Adelaide Street was not a good one. The quality standards that I have come to expect from the Meriton brand are not being upheld at their Adelaide Street location.

Issues:

1) The shower in the room was broken. The head of the shower that holds the shower head was broken and as a result every time you touched the shower tap you got hit in the head by the shower head. I complained on the second day and I was advised that it would be looked at. I’m not sure if they did but the problem continued for the remaining 3 nights of the stay.

2)The bath and shower was dirty, in particular behind the taps where there was a lot of mould.

3) The Pool doesn’t have any towels, every other Meriton I have stayed at has made towels available in the pool area. Meriton Suites on Adelaide Street does NOT..... If you don’t get the room made up daily, access to dry towels is difficult without constantly being on the phone to guest services.

4) One room key didn’t work in trying to access the pool and gym. The pool was also out of order for the first 2 days of our stay without any notification to guests when it came available again. The gym also had broken equipment that was out of order and not available for use.

5) The manager on duty at reception when checking in was extremely arrogant and cocky. She does not seem interested in ensuring that guests are given the best opportunity to ensure their stay. Her tone And body language were particularly not welcoming.

Positives:

1) The streaming availability on the TV was a great feature.

2) The bed was comfortable and the room was a nice big size.

Overall a very disappointing stay at Meriton Suites and I would recommend that you don’t stay at Meriton Suites on Adelaide Street. It hurts me to say this but it just doesn’t live up to the standards I have come to expect from Meriton Suites.

Sincerely

Jason Shields

No cover on the doona. Our bed was 1 sheet then uncovered doona and then another sheet. Upon cleaning of our room which happened after 3.30pm I only had the towels swapped and one shampoo was left. No soap, no conditioner.
Parking is $34 a night, over priced but had no choice. Spent more on parking for the 3 nights than I did for the hotel room for 1 night.
To get food delivered they want to charge $11. We got ubereats ourselves and delivery was free. Do not use their service for deliver. More money making for them.

We have stayed at the Meriton Suites once before and liked it very much. We found the location to be excellent, as it is only a 10 minute walk to the Eagle Street Wharf or an 8 minute walk to the Howard Smith Wharves. Both walks are along the riverside boardwalk. The one bedroom suites are very spacious and perfectly clean. There is even a full laundry enclosed in a recess. One thing that impresses us is the service. The reception people are friendly and welcoming. This time, our fridge was not keeping things cold; we told reception and a nice chap came up straight away. They tried fixing it but when it didn't improve, we found it had been replaced with a brand new fridge when we got back that afternoon. What we like with this place is that unlike some others, there is no mucking around when something is needed. WI FI is included, with no silly limits on megabites etc. Due to staff shortages, rooms are only serviced weekly, but you are welcome to get anything you need brought up on request or as you pass through reception..towels, detergent, bathroom products etc. Should this standard continue, we will be making this our go to place every time we visit Brisbane.

I have stayed here several times now - most recently at very short notice. All of the staff go above and beyond to provide outstanding service and honestly you get a luxury experience at a very generous price. Meriton is perfect for both long and short stays offering a wide array of utilities and services in every suite including full kitchens, chrome casts and built-in streaming services in both bedrooms and living rooms. Hands down the best hotel anywhere in Brisbane.

It's a serviced apartment with self contained kitchen and laundry facilities. The location is excellent - you can walk to either Queen St Mall or the Valley Mall in 10-12 minutes. Story Bridge is only a few mins walk away (we walked across it and back) and the Howard St Wharf is only 5 mins away too.

Upon arrival we were checked in by Gabby, who had already taken care of my prior requests at time of booking, and we got an amazing apartment with fantastic views of the city river, and just a bit of the Story Bridge (can't be helped that there are buildings in the way). Gabby was also great with our checkout, and is a real asset to the business.

The room itself was clean, spacious and quiet. The bed was super comfortable and whilst you can have it brightly lit with the curtains open, they do provide quite a lot of darkness if you need to sleep in (we did). We used both the kitchen and laundry provided in the room, both were very useful.

I'm a bit of a gym junkie and opted to visit one offsite (Snap Fitness is a short walk away), but my partner used the one onsite and said for a hotel gym it's very good.

We didn't use the pool, can't comment there.

There isn't any visitor parking available other than for short pickup or drop-off, but the evening staff (didn't get his name, sorry) were helpful in providing recommendations on which streets to check nearby. All worked well.

We also had a late checkout as per request at time of booking. For those wondering, t's free till 11am, $50 till 12pm or $60 till 1pm, paid at checkout.

Overall we had a great stay and will definitely book again next time we visit Brisbane.

The one bedroom suite seemed to be much smaller than expected, with dated furniture and noisy because of the 5-6 elevators nearby and only the cheapest paper core door, no sound insulation. The bathroom was tiny and in dying need of an update, with a shower over the bathtub and some white-greyish towels that didn’t inspire much confidence, so I didn’t use them. On a positive note, the linen were clean and crisp and the kitchenette had the necessary utensils. The reception is serviced by only one person, who sometimes isn’t even there because of other duties or problems to solve, so people are queuing there, waiting... Overall, you have the feeling that it’s a dingy place. Fortunately, I only had to stay there one night. Overpriced.
