The Canary Garden Club is lauded for its immaculate amenities, including a pristine pool and cozy bungalows. Guests appreciate the spacious, modern rooms equipped with Netflix, despite some reports of thin walls. While the atmosphere is tranquil and geared towards relaxation, a few guests find the evening entertainment lacking. The service at the hotel stands out, with staff members earning kudos for their dedication to guest comfort. Opinions on the location are mixed, though the cleanliness of the premises receives unanimous praise.

We stayed for a week over Christmas and were very pleasantly surprised by how modern and clean the whole place was. Check in was very smooth.

The bungalows are a bit tired but kept spotlessly clean, bedding was changed at least twice during the week and the towels changed when requested. That made a refreshing change from other hotels we have stayed in where they change them anyway. I like to try and do my bit for the planet! There was a fridge in the room which was a pleasant surprise and a kettle and microwave.

As a vegetarian, the food (apart from the breakfast choices which were great) was a little limited especially at lunch time where the choice was limited to a vegetarian pizza or a mixed salad (which strangely came with tuna). Evening meals were usually a salad for me.

The Gala Dinner for Christmas Eve was also limited but it didn't spoil our night. It was nice to have a bit of entertainment too.

It is a little bit out of the way but there are very regular buses down to the beach and back which was great. There's a decent supermarket about a 10minute walk from the hotel where you can get everything you might need. I think we paid €1.50 for 4 litres of water.

The best thing about the hotel was the staff. They are brilliant. Everyone of them. They work so hard and for so long. I really think the hotel could do with a few more.

The only thing that I think could be addressed is the use of plastic. Although guests should take some responsibility themselves for keep getting replacement "glasses" for their drinks.

All in all a lovely Christmas break.

We had a good holiday at this hotel but some things could have been better. Unfortunately we had a bungalow which did not get any sun at this time of year and therefore the bungalow was a bit chilly and we were only able to sit out on the patio one lunchtime. Being able to sit or lie out in the sun involved moving chairs/sunbeds into the garden area next to the perimeter hedge. Not a huge issue but did get wearing. Also, you were allowed to smoke in this bungalow. Initially we didn't realise this and thought it was okay but after a couple of hours it started to smell very stale and of smoke. We should have spoken to reception then but as we had already unpacked we decided to stay where we were and kept windows and doors open as much as possible and after a couple of days it smelt much better. The kitchen area is very small and would be difficult to cook full meals if this is what you wanted to do. One thing I didn't like in the bathroom was the fixed shower head especially as there wasn't a bidet, but this is a personal preference. The pool was being repaired and therefore didn't get full access to it. Also it's not really a pool for swimming in as the same depth throughout. We ate in the restaurant on our first night and the food was good and of good quality but was lukewarm. This definitely needs to be improved. No other restaurants in the immediate vicinity but 5 to 10 minute walk away which may be an issue for some people.

I know the above may sound like we had an awful holiday but we most certainly didn't and may well return to the hotel at some point in the future as there were lots of good points too. The reception area is very bright and airy and the staff were friendly and helpful. We reported an issue with the kettle and it was replaced within 10 minutes. Excellent service. Another staff member absolutely deserves praise and that was the lady who cleaned our bungalow. She was an absolute star! The bungalows have been partially refurbished with nice new curtains, seating, flooring etc which brightened them up a lot. The patio area is large with plenty of space for the table and chairs and 2 sunbeds. The complex is very quiet at night. Didn't hear any loud noises but did hear someone in the bedroom next to us snoring! Some nice areas away from the immediate pool area to sit and enjoy the sun. The safe was great and the easiest one to set up that we have ever come across. Only a 20 minute walk to the beach but the hotel has a very regular courtesy bus which was excellent. One little thing on that is that the last trip to the beach/shops/ restaurant areas of Maspalomas and Meloneras is at 5pm so if you wanted to eat in these areas you need to go early or walk or get a taxi. Maybe one more transfer at 6.30 or 7pm? The whole complex was kept beautifully clean and the staff obviously work very hard to keep it this way. All in all a very good place to stay if you want to relax away from the business of the resort centre.

This hotel is superb for a three star, the pool area is a good as any hotel we have stayed in and kept spotless in fact the whole complex is kept imaculate. The bungalows are a little bit dated but again spotless even though we were all inclusive we got a large fridge which at other four star hotels we have had to pay for. The food was good and varied and the snack bar which at lunchtime where you order of the menu was brilliant with 19 choices which you could mix and match. All the drinks were a very good standard the red wine was superb and some italian guests also commented how good the wine was. Sun loungers never a problem round the pool and even if it was youve got your own on your terrace, again brilliant. The staff at this hotel from cleaners to the managers were a credit, the only slight downside they seem to be overworked particularly on the snack bar at lunchtime where they seem to be doing three to four different jobs at times but always polite and professional. Entertainment on a night was limited but we liked that rather than putting rubbish on.

Finally on the hotel we were fortunate to be at the New Years Eve gala dinner which I dont believe could have been done any better in a 5 star hotel. Greeted at the door by senior management and all the staff and chefs it was really well organised and planned and a credit to the hotel. the food was also amazing, well done to all. I will definately go back here at some point.

All in all superb.

This was our first time to Gran Canaria so we did not really know what to expect.
We had already done some homework prior to our departure from the UK so knew that the Canary Garden club was in a quiet location which is just what we wanted as we are a mature couple. The main building of the hotel is well laid out and cleanliness is to a high standard.
The rooms are in the style in the style of a bungalow with 4 x rooms to one block.
Basically there is a living area with a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities and a TV with lots of European channels which include BBC 1 & ITV 1 and a couch and table.
Our bedroom had 1 x double bed and 1 x single bed with the sheets being changed every other day and the towels changed on a daily basis.
The bathrooms have a large walk-in rainfall shower and a hair dryer.
The rooms are cleaned on a daily basis.
The grassed areas, gardens and swimming pools are kept immaculately clean and tidy. Sun beds are readily available so there is no need to book one with a towel in advance.
Just a couple niggles (not a problems) regarding the food. There are theme nights e.g. Mexican, Chinese and whilst there is lots of choice there is very little or next to no choice for those who cannot eat spicy/exotic food other than the salad bar.
Chips are available every night but they could just do with cooking a little longer.
Most nights when there was not a theme night the choice of food selection was good.
There is a good selection of food at breakfast and the Chef cooks omelettes and pancakes on request
Lunch can be ordered at the pool bar and although the quality of the food is good the selection is quite limited. If you are going to be at the hotel for +2 weeks you are going to try everything on the menu pretty quick.
The staff at the Canary Garden Club are very pleasant, cannot do enough for you and are always willing to help to make your stay enjoyable.
There is a little shop (out of the main doors, turn and walk 100 yards) if you run short of anything.
As previously mentioned we enjoyed to hotel because it was quiet if you are looking for 'Party Central' this is not the hotel for you.
There is a free bus to the Maspalomas beach area which runs throughout the day, it is only a short walk to the shops/Shopping centre. We had a great time and would definitely go back.

I really don’t know where to start, this is one of the most loveliest complex’s we have stayed in, the brochure doesn’t to it justice. The staff work extremely hard from the crack of Dawn, washing down sun beds, cleaning the pool, the paths etc. the go on to cleaning the rooms which they do daily. The staff are also extremely nice friendly people, the bungalows you stay in are adorable, with fantastic bathrooms, ladies the hair are hot and fast, I want one 😂. Two shower head one static one you can take off. Big mirror in bathroom and living room, fridge is a tad small but more than adequate. Lovely terrace with table, chairs plus two sun beds. Rooms are cleaned daily, if you want clean towels just leave them on the floor and they will leave clean ones . The grounds are beautiful, loads of palm trees which the green parrots rest in, to palms of different shapes and sizes, there is a Gym and laundry section. Food is good with a nice variety, and the chefs can be very funny.. it is very peaceful here so if you want nightlife you need to get a cab, which is not a problem and they are cheap around 4.50€ faro is a delightful place with loads of great quality food and cocktails which are strong 😳😂, lovely promenade to walk with absolutely fantastic sunsets. Often with dancers or musicians. Designer shops and supermarkets. If you get a chance go to Palmitos Park Zoo it is something special, hard work if your not in the best of health as it’s up in the mountains, and it’s a little pricey 33€ per person, you can go with a coach trip or as individuals as we did taxi 26€ each way, another great night out is at the Yumbo Centre, one of Europes biggest Gay centres with fabulous bars, drag shows and shops, weather was 33 degrees a lot of the time. Another good thing is no mosquitoes and only saw one cockroach in the 3 weeks we were there, a few small lizards but there cute. We can’t wait to go back , forgot to mention there is entertainment at complex most nights. This complex is child friendly as well as oldies like us 😂 if you go hope you love it’s much as we did.

Just got back from a weeks stay at this lovely hotel,we arrived late evening after a flight delay , we was greeted by the night manager who’s English is superb , we managed to be in time for something to eat all buffet style but still plenty to choose from , we found our apartment very easy to get to one of the first blocks right near to the pool perfect for us , we had everything we needed inside lounge separate bathroom and bedroom more than enough room for the two of us , table and chairs on the patio plus two loungers for us outside , no need to get up early for a sun bed there was plenty and I chose to stay a couple of days on our own loungers .
The pool was lovely and clean as was the small children’s pool ,
Every set of loungers by the pool also had a fixed parasol .
Towels could be hired for €10 deposit each and when returned you got €8 back well worth it as the towels were lovely and soft .
The pool bar was good and the staff everywhere is excellent.
Great selection on the lunch time menu, also you can get ice cream tubs, plus coffees and teas.
The evening food was in my option very good and plenty of choices.
Breakfast you can have pancakes , omelettes and fried eggs made to order.
Free shuttle bus daily .
Entertainment is ok but not every night ,
I would definitely return for the price we paid and the service of the fabulous staff .
The only thing I would say is I think it should be adults only unless your children love the pool all day there is nothing else available for them to do .
Ps if you choose to go in the quiet area the four poster bed/loungers are not free there is a charge .

We have just returned from a week at the Canary Garden Club Hotel and what a great holiday we've had. We arrived late at night to a friendly greeting and was taken straight to the dining room where a meal had been prepared for us.
We had 2 bungalows opposite each other and I cannot fault this hotel. The place itself is beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean with the bungalows being immaculate. Each bungalow has a bedroom with a double and single bed and a lounge with a single bed settee. The bathroom is great with a huge walk in shower and clean towels whenever you want them. There's a fridge in every bungalow. Each bungalow has a small patio with an outside table and chairs and two sunbeds. Lots of people take the sunbeds onto the large areas of grass if they're not keen on sunbathing at the pool.
We were on an all inclusive basis which we thoroughly enjoyed. The buffet breakfast and evening meal has a wide variety of well cooked food which encompasses most tastes. The lunch is cooked fresh from a menu which is simple but nicely done. The pizza is exceptional.
The biggest asset for this hotel, without a doubt, is their staff...yes, all of them! They all work incredibly hard and nothing is too much trouble. There is always a smile and a genuine desire to help without being overbearing or intrusive.
If you are looking for a hotel with a kids club, lots of loud music and an entertainment crew then this is not for you. They pride themselves on the tranquility of the hotel and a peaceful environment. We did have some entertainment every night which was mainly someone singing to a backing track. It was enough for us.
The pool area is great with lots of sunbeds and a fixed parasol for every two beds. No sunbed wars! Beach towels can be hired from the reception desk.
Maspalomas beach and town can be reached during the day by a free shuttle bus from the hotel. In the evening the hotel reception staff will call for a taxi which is approx 5euros. A good mix of bars and shops and a very safe and comfortable environment.
All I all this is one of the nicest places I've stayed at and a really peaceful holiday.

Arrived late at night check in was very quick and easy. We were given some food and a drink which was much appreciated! Our accommodation was immaculate with two bottles of water tea and coffee provided we had a small fridge but no other kitchen equipment as we went AI. Beds comfortable plenty of wardrobe space and drawers. The safe in room is free. Lovely big walk in shower.
Pool is not deep also not very big so as other reviews have mentioned your not allowed inflatables or ball games. There is a shallow child's pool. Breakfast had the usual choices and freshly cooked omelette fried eggs and pancakes.
Pool bar drinks and food we found to be of a good standard.
Buffet dinner was enjoyable good choices and a couple of themed nights Chinese,Mexican.
Entertainment was from around 8:30 till 10pm couple of good singers some not so good! Bar closes at 11pm drinks all local we enjoyed them but are not big drinkers. All the staff are polite, friendly and work really hard to keep the complex clean, tidy and the guests happy. There is a small shop in the the complex opposite and a bigger one in the Faro 2 centre about 5/10 min walk away. There is also Holiday World leisure complex about 10 min walk away with bowling, fun fair, sports bars, gym, escape room, and a food court with lots of choices upstairs. As mentioned in other reviews a shuttle bus runs from the hotel to Maspalomas beach throughout the day and taxis are around 6 euros each way. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves as we just wanted somewhere we could chill out for a week. I think this hotel suits older couples and families with older teenagers or maybe young families with babies/toddlers. Families with kids from 5 upwards would need a complex with more activities for them.
Would definitely return!

I don't know where to start......my boyfriend and I have just returned home after 10 fantastic nights in Canary Garden Club. Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely lady at reception who checked us into our bungalow and gave us all the info we needed...including free WIFI. Once we got to our room, we noticed how clean and well maintained these bungalows were and how perfect it was for the 2 of us. We decided to book room only, so we had a little kitchenette, which included a fridge, hob and microwave. However, we did choose to eat at the hotel restaurant one night as the food looked nice and we wanted to chill at the resort. You just need to ask at reception and they give you a ticket to give to a waiter after you have paid. The food and drinks at the hotel were really well priced and there was a big selection. There was an outdoor bar during the day around the pool and an indoor bar at night.
There was loads of couples around our age which was nice (22 & 23). There was a variety of age groups at the hotel which was also nice as we got chatting to some lovely couples/families during our stay. There was entertainment on every night around 8:30/9 for around 2 hours which was nice and chill but could have been better.
We couldn't figure out how to use the air con properly, so we asked a member of staff and they were quick to help us. The pool was always clean and well maintained, the staff were always going round and collecting empty cups and wiping tables down. There was plenty of sun loungers with umbrellas if needed and you didn't need to get up at the crack of dawn the reserve one. There was also a section at the back where there was canopy day beds and more sun loungers.
We hired a car for the duration we were there, which was great for us as we wanted to get out and about and see all of Gran Canaria. There was parking right outside the hotel which was so handy for us. Everywhere we wanted to go was no more than 10-15 minutes max in the car. There was car parks everywhere, so we didn't struggle to park up and go either. The beach and dunes were 5 mins down the road if that, however, the hotel has a free bus service that picks you up directly from the hotel and takes you down to the beach - the times are shown at the main reception. If you wanted to go out and have a drink or a meal, then the hotel can press a button and book you a taxi which turns up immediately. Taxi rides were quick and cheap and took less than 5 mins for us to get to where we wanted to go. There was so much for us to do and go see and it was perfect that it was all so close. The hotel is situated in a quieter area but still in walking distance to restaurants and bars etc - which we didn't mind at all. Our TUI rep came to our hotel and we booked buggy's and the camel safari, so we didn't have to arrange anything ourselves and were picked up directly from our hotel and dropped back off.
Overall, we can't recommend this place enough if you are looking for a nice chill holiday! The only thing I would say, if you're looking for a more lively atmosphere then maybe this place isn't for you but like I said, there is bars and restaurants close by if you wanted to go out.

Just back from a lovely week at this super little apartment hotel complex, the weather was absolutely fantastic which no doubt helped, it is like a little oasis, very little traffic noise and lots of bird song, perfect for relaxing as its definitely not geared to kids, (the odd hyperactive guest maybe, he left though!)

The apartment itself was spotless with comfy beds, good air con and a great shower, the only problem was it did not really catch any sun so you had to go the pool area which might bother some people.

This is because the apartments are divided into 3 or 4 units, ours was no. 11/2 and it seems the odd numbered ones and the /2's in particular are just not positioned as nicely, some people in other units never went to the pool, just relaxed on their sunbeds outside all day.

The hospitality staff, (5 ladies and 2 guys) are brilliant, friendly and hard working and the reception staff are efficient and helpful, there is a big book cabinet there with a good choice and they get taxis within 5 mins maximum if you want one and the courtesy bus runs every half our or so morning and afternoon down to the beach.

There were loads of beds round the lovely pool and you can rent one of the 5 big canopied beds for a very reasonable amount.

The food was absolutely fine, it's a small place so don't expect a massive choice, but we had no complaints, including the pool bar menu which does the lunches, (fish and pork dishes were our favourites), all served quickly.

The only problem is there is really nothing close by, you need to get a taxi to Playa Del Ingles if you want bars and clubs etc, but far better to get the courtesy bus to Meloneras and have a nice meal and walk along the beach, there are dozens of lovely restaurants there on the seafront.

( little tips, if you have a cold before you go, take cough bottle with you, my wife paid 18 euros in a chemist for one, total rip off, but it did help to be fair. there is a little shop just across the road in the opposite complex which you can use for bottled water etc)

We will definitely go back here, probably the same time of year as it will be a lot busier in the summer, but a big thank you to everyone for making our stay so pleasant.
