What can I say? My time here was amazing, so good that I extended my stay by another week, and was again but there was no availability after that. The staff were amazing, Elena the Manager, Mariola and Belen, Massimo, but most of all was the fabulous barman Vasaco, he was always going out of his way to help and accommodate others, very friendly, polite and professional, I will miss him the most. The location was perfect, not too far inland, but too close to everything that it was too noisy. The apartments were lovely and clean and well presented. Everywhere is cleaned daily and kept to a high standards with room cleaning throughout most of the day and not just early morning like others. With a bust stop outside for those who prefer to commute and all taxis aware of the location, it is very easy to get around. Local tours pick up area from the hotel across the road, so again no need to travel when arranging pickups from excursions. The views from the roof top are to die for. All in all, I had no complaints and am already looking into my next trip. A must go for all who are interested.

This little sustainable solar panelled gay resort hotel from MOW hotels is a very special place and I love it! Exceptional Service. Heated Pool all year round, Spotlessly clean, well appointed 2 storey deluxe rooms with sunny terraces, very reasonable prices, balconies, comfortable beds and very well kept grounds and a roof terrace with a view. Professional and genuinely friendly and always helpful team is in my mind this hotel s greatest asset.
Access available to gym and sister resort Seven which is a bit more lively whenever needed. Vista Bonita is quieter than Seven resort, but VB is exceptionally charming especially for a long stay and practical with an equipped kitchen and a well stocked supermarket and wine shop directly outside .. I ended up extending my stay 4 times!
A very big thank you to Elena for kind help with extended stays, last minute table bookings at very well organised events at the sister hotel Seven. Events at Seven included fun (socially distanced:) and well planned New Years Eve Dinner and brunches , Jazz BBQ, Afternoon drag and gay flamenco.
Thank you Ismael for the friendly welcome and the restaurant tips and the loan of the speaker throughout the stay which was great on the beach and on the terrace at night.. and which I promise I am bringing back with me! :(!
Mariola is the essence of why this hotel works.. Nothing is too much trouble and she and all the boys in the housekeeping team do a really excellent and professional job too. The on site Handyman was also extremely friendly and always with a daily greeting and a smile.
The bar when open is great too - obviously quite restricted opening hours during covid time... Massimo and Vasco both went out of their way to make everyone happy and the service is relaxed and friendly and the poolside salads fresh and the pizzas simple but tasty.
Last but not least I loved having Frederico the House cat and his friend greeting us around The resort every day and i am happy that the hotel has a pet friendly policy too.
Really looking forward to coming back.

My 5th time in VB in last 3 years, I feel so much at home here. I'm booked for next year already. Everything here suits my holiday goals: good supermarket and restaurant on the door step (not gourmet but very acceptable) quiet location should you need it, 22 apartments so cosy and friendly and always make friends there. Sit on your terrace or by the pool and enjoy the sun, or relax in the garden or balcony so plenty options to suit your needs. Stroll to the beach in 30 mins or catch a bus outside door to some locations or grab a taxi to most areas for approx €5.
Apartments very clean and spacious (love the upstairs downstairs separation). Staff exceptionally good, from the super Elena, to Massimo and his cocktails, and my cleaning maestros Ivan and Mariola who all go out of their way to help at all times. Almost all the people I have here over the last few years have been returning customers so that in itself says enough about this beautiful hideaway. Cannot wait to return next year!
With Covid I was a little worried coming this time but everything was so well done I felt safer from the start, the whole island is very good in that respect. Before I flew, (travel rules changed several times around this time) I was emailed an offer of a quick covid test at the apartment on arrival to comply which was very handy. Before departure Elena organised a PCR test for me to avoid quarantine on return. They came to my apartment and did the test there which was super as it looked like I would have to travel to Las Palmas to get one done privately otherwise. It was a huge relief for me for going home. So glad I went, felt so safe there, much safer than many places at home.
The shame was that the island was so quiet with amenities closed. The lack of atmosphere was noticeable with so little people around but also very safe with the restrictions imposed so all in all it was much better than I had expected.

My partner and I just spent 5 nights at the Vista Bonita Gay Resort and we had a very nice and relaxing stay. Hotel is quite relaxing, or at least it was during our stay, which was off season, and the place seemed to be only half booked. It was very clean, quiet, well maintained, and the grounds, although small, well put together. The pool looks nice and inviting, but unfortunately was very cold. The weather was a bit chilly, and somehow the pool was not heated. The water was freezing. On the 4 day we were there we heard someone saying that the heater was broken but had just been fixed. Unfortunately by the time we left, it was still very cold.
Everything worked well in the apartment, however, the decor and furnishings are not too comfortable or inviting. It could be a little "gayer" and warmer.
We rented a car in order to explore the island and could park with no problem using the free parking on the street. Again it was off season, and it was super easy to find spots. The hotel offers reserved spots for a 5Euro a day fee.
The biggest plus in this place are the wonderful employees. They do their job well while giving you room and privacy. Big kudos to Raul at the breakfast and bar, he is awesome. Also thanks to Pedro and David. These are the ones we can mention by name, but they were all very nice and professional. Thank you all for the great time we had there.
Also worth mentioning is the BBQ they have on Friday evenings (15Euro p/Person plus drinks). It is very well put together, yummy, and Raul does a great job at the grill. Again here Raul and David did a wonderful job.

Stayed my second holiday at the Vista Bonita in Maspalomas (Gran Canaria) and its time to write a review now, cause they deserve to get a nice reaction. From the moment you enter the totally private place, you feel like coming home. Elena at the reception is welcoming you with a warm hart as a PERSON, not as a CLIENT. When there is a problem with your accommodation she will immediately act and things are fixed in no time! The place is so peaceful and all the guests are friendly to eachother saying hi, making small talks. There’s no ‘attitude’ or ‘arrogance’ at all between the guests as you have sometimes in other gay-resorts. The pool and jacuzzi are heated all year rond, which is necessary in Dec,Jan and Feb. They have a nice bar and terras where you can use a splendid breakfast (not in covid times) with soft lounge music all day. This bar wouldn’t work without a fantastic bartender (VASCO) who makes you the best cocktails and smoothies on the island! That guy is realy a big plus for the resort and his guests, he would not know what to do to make you feel comfortable and happy, without pushing anything! He’s realy an asset to the resort, making the clients feel happy and comfortable...! Also a big thank you to the cleaning team who cleans everyday everything very intensive and disinfect due the Covid period now, they are very discreet and re-new the cheats and towels when you ask. This and the vieuw from the rooftop terras/lounge are all the strong positive points to go and stay at the Vista Bonita. The only less positive is, is the location. It’s in the Sonneland area where it’s very quiet at night, but you need a car or a taxi to get you in 10min at the Yumbo or the beach.

I couldn’t have asked for a better stay here. The staff were so sweet and friendly, I made lots of friends here, and I relaxed.
Even though the hotel isn’t in the heart of Maspalomas, you have everything you need on your doorstep – a delightful restaurant right outside the hotel, a little supermarket next door, and there’s a well stocked taxi rank 3 mins walk up the road (it’s less than 5€ to the Yumbo or the beach).

We flew to Gran Canaria and stayed at Vista Bonita on Friday 31st July. We had missed two holidays already due to COVID 19 but decided we would take a risk after researching that Gran Canaria had very low infections. We were still a little wary, but we didn’t need to be. The staff at Vista Bonita have been keeping the place so clean and safe. Everything is disinfected if it stands still long enough, even the air con remote was in a sealed bag when we arrived staring it had been cleaned. A nice touch was a goody bag of face masks and anti bac hand gel in the apartment. So glad we went, felt so safe there, much safer than here in the UK!

This was out first visit there. We were very happy with the room and facilities. The apartment was very clean and well decorated/maintained. The bed was comfortable and it was good to have a duvet rather than just a blanket. The staff are fantastic, warm and are very genuine. Makes you feel relaxed. The bar food is good value and the portion sizes are big. Reasonablely priced for a hotel. Food and drinks can be charged to the room, but we preferred to pay as we got the drinks. Our main issue was hot water. It's great that its solar and would be fine during the summer. However, when it's the winter months there needs to be a back up to it. The whole week we only had one hot shower. It was mostly luke warm. Not the best to wash with Not looking for a boiling hot shower, just hot enough to wash with. We did report it and said it would get looked at but it didnt solve it. The pool is a good size but doesn't leave much room between the pool and sun beds. If your tall, like me, was worried might knock someone in as they walked past. This the only thing that stopped us giving it a five star rating. If we go back to Gran Canaria next year, will book here again.

The rooms are of a very high standard, both in state of repair (excellent and clean) and facilities - coffee machine+kettle+Lavazza+toaster+bathroom scales (it's important to know how much weight you've picked up during your holiday). Comfy double bed. Management are easy going and staff very friendly, approachable, and accommodating. There's the odd slightly indifferent cat too. Good facilities throughout with a bar (serves food and daily cocktail specials), pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Clothing optional throughout which is cool, saves on washing. Shout out to Vasco and Massimo. They were amazing, and super friendly :-)
The resort is on top of a hill so bare this in mind getting there. If you're walking and arriving with luggage, dress for hot weather. :)

We are a hotel dedicated to gay couples, you are welcome and you are sure to make great friends, sorry for the comments, maybe that person in question was upset, but I'm sure that in the main our guests don't feel the same way.
