At times it felt like there were too many staff and that we were being watched a lot of the time.
However, the hotel itself is really lovely and very peaceful. We had fancy petals on the bed on arrival and the site is beautiful.
Staff were very helpful and polite and always happy to help us, and carried our bags to our room. Customer service was great as we were given a drink and wet towel on arrival.
One staff member in particular, Eed (duty manager) was extremely helpful and friendly. He gave us tips on what activities to do and was proactive in helping us to arrange them.

I stayed with my wife, sister, brother-in-law, and nephew in this hotel between December 30th, 2022, and January 2nd 2023. The rooms and facilities were very good, especially when you compare the level of service to the price you paid (50$ a night per room, including breakfast! And on new year’s eve!)
Breakfast menu is average and includes an adequate numbers of options and variations.
The pool is beautiful, clean, and spacious. But its only problem is being understaffed; there was only one guy who’s in charge of food and beverages as well as the towels! And the poor guy had to walk all the way up across many flights of stairs to get each order from the kitchen! He’s a humble and very helpful guy by the way, so be good and patient with him, Kasim you are the best!

The hotel is isolated a little, but they provide free bus trips to Old Phuket Town on daily basis. We had a rented car so we had more freedom to move.

Be careful while strolling at night, because you’re literally in the middle of a jungle, there are many kinds of insects and strange creatures roaming in and around the place at night, including billions of mosquitoes!

Anyway! I’d definitely love to pay it another visit when I’m in Phuket next time, but only if I have a car or if I’m planning on having secluded time with my wife in the arms of nature.

Driving up the hill to reception, we were worried we were too far away from anything and would be bored…. WRONG!

This place is stunning. The lobby, the views, the pool, everything. We were given the best villa on the resort too with completely uninterrupted views of the sea. Perfect welcome from the staff too.

The food was adequate and portions tiny but we didn’t mind too much as we were only there a couple of days before flying home and had a full day jet-skiing booked which included meals.

The only hiccup we faced was when we finished the jet ski day. We were told to call them and we would get collected. We had to continuously call and the lady didn’t understand what we were asking for (a lift as agreed that morning). After hanging up on us a few times, in the end she just stopped answering the phone entirely. After being stranded in a monsoon shower we finally managed to get a car to take us back. When we got back, the lady told us the phone wasn’t working. My partner took out his mobile and called the hotel, and the phone rang. She just stood there and looked at it ringing. We said “what’s the problem with the phone?”. She literally turned around and walked away into the office and never returned.

I had injured my foot during the day so not only was I hurt but we were completely drenched and VERY unhappy. We mentioned it to one of the team that evening and the following morning when checking out, the Hotel Manager was there to apologise and he provided us with a free taxi to the airport which was much appreciated.

The staff were lovely (apart from the one lady) and everything other than that was perfect.

Would definitely recommend and if we return to this area in the future, we will definitely stay again.

Our stay at Supalai Resort has been our best vacation so far! We would absolutely recommend it to anyone travelling to Phuket island! Contrary to the noise and and the crowds in the resorts at the west coast, Supalai felt like a piece of heaven - super quiet, peaceful and beautiful! The rooms are spacious and super clean, the staff treated us with a lot of personal attention, care and wonderful attitude, the gardens and the pool were kept in impeccable condition, the restaurant was super classy and the food - really tasty! Because of the location of the resort on the top of a hill, the view from the pool and from the rooms is stunning! The beach is close and easily accessible by foot, but for the convenience of the guests the hotel provides free transport to the seaside and back. We spent our honeymoon at the resort and on this occasion one of the evenings the team arranged for us a very special private romantic dinner at the beach. The table and the whole area around it were decorated with roses, white orchids and candles and the food was exquisite. Dear Supalai team, many thanks again for making our honeymoon unforgettable!!!

The pictures are deceiving, as this is NOT a beach resort!
The walkways (steps) down to the villas are extremely dangerous with large gaps and sharp bits sticking out.
The gym consists of 2 small box rooms with 2 treadmills in each (for a hotel that accommodates over 200+ guests?)
The water pressure for the bathtub was so low and slow, it took over an hour to fill and was cold by the time it had filled up.
The shampoo and conditioner dispensers were empty!
The wifi NEVER worked!
Not enough sunbeds at the swimming pool. Maybe enough for 10 people?
Also, the location is so remote and in the middle of nowhere, you would expect some activities or live music to be available, but nothing!
Also never saw a single manager onsite! No wonder the place is so badly run. What kind of Management is allowed to be invisible or not even available during peak season on a weekend?
The restaurant was by far the worst part of this experience.
We had to ask for menus twice and had to then ask for our order to be taken. The restaurant wasn't even busy, yet there were over 6 staff working on the floor. Other tables that cane after us got served before us!
After ordering food, only 10 minutes later we were then told that they didn't have what we wanted. So we changed the order. Then 20 minutes later the waitress returns once again, to say that they are out of that dish!
The cocktails we ordered also took 30 minutes to arrive.
So one of us decided to just not eat and that we would go down to the beach restaurant by the same company instead.
Of course, the beach restaurant was closed! (During peak season?!!).
Later that evening, we decide to give the restaurant a 2nd chance. What a bad idea!
This time we only ordered 2 desserts. One crepe and one ice-cream. Also note, there were over 5 or 6 staff working and only 3 tables in the restaurant (all of which had been served already). 30 minutes go by and we said enough is enough and we told the staff we aren't waiting any longer.
Then we went to explain our problems to the Reception. Again around 5 staff standing there (so many staff seem to work but very little appears to happen here). Whilst trying to explain the problem, 2 of the staff begin laughing! I was shocked and just got up and said, nevermind, thanks.
Then there was the breakfast experience.
Terrible selection, most dishes ran out of food, no glasses for drinks, ants in the jam bowls, absolutely terrible coffee and of course, not one staff member said hello, good morning, thank you or good bye.
This hotel is not cheap and I expect a lot better quality service and food for this kind of place.
Never again!

Stayed here for 2 nights in December, Here's what you need to know.

We stayed in a Villa and it was superb, bed was very comfortable and the view was the best we had from any room out of the 5 hotels we stayed at despite it being by far the cheapest. The shower was fine, but the huge bath would have taken a week to fill so that was pretty unusable in our villa.

Breakfast was very good, with a good selection on offer. We also dined in the restaurant on 1 evening and had a very enjoyable meal, they were also able to knock up a tasty vegetarian meal for my wife.

The hotel is out of the way, get your taxi driver to stop at a supermarket beforehand as there is no shops nearby. Also the hotel is on a very steep incline, so not suitable if you are less mobile.

The hotel offer free trips to Phuket Old town & Phuket Robinson ( the newly opened Shopping Centre). We took advantage of this and that was a great touch and we spent the day exploring the old town.

The resort is close enough to Bang Rong Pier, so sorting a morning transfer to catch the speedboat to Krabi was straight forward and took around 10 minutes.

The main 2 blocks of hotel rooms definitely need repainting on the outside, I guess a humid tropical climate and 2 years of Covid have taken their toll. Guests staying in the main blocks told me their rooms were fine.

The staff were professional & helpful

I would recommend and happy return to this hotel, for a day or 2, we used it to recover from a days travelling and the time difference.

Stayed here for one night and on entering the lobby .. WOW the views were breathtaking ! Straight away the staff were so welcoming and friendly… Our room was very spacious and beautiful, Again the view from our room was amazing . I would happily sit there and just stare at the view all day. Little outside the town but we hired a Motor bike at a very good price and there is also a shuttle bus available at the hotel, they also offer free kayaking ! We didn’t avail as our schedule didn’t allow but would come back here again on our next visit .

Absolutely terrible experience, staff totally ignored any basic requests we had, breakfast food selection is absolute disaster, not mentioning poor quality of the food. Facilitied are old, many many years after its prime. Prices for food in hotel restaurants are high however what you get is same quality and taste as breakfast - terrible. A lot of things can be tolarted, however absolutely ignorant staff was too much. Never ever this place, ven if they would pay us to visit.

This is a beautiful resort with amazing views and great access to the beach. The pools are awesome and the food is good if somewhat a bit pricey for the quantities but as you’re a 40 minute drive from town you’re a bit captive. There’s a little store for buying ice cream and snacks and drinks. There’s a swim up bar at the pool as well. We did not use the spa. The service in the restaurant is a bit disorganized and slow. They don’t seem to be able to track who has come in and when so people that arrive after you will be served first which is not very good.

The only real issue is that a beautiful spot like this needs to be maintained to keep it nice. The buildings have black streaking all down the outside walls which could be cleaned with some power washing. The bathroom grouting around the tubs is black and mouldy and not very welcoming.

We probably would not stay here again as it’s too far out and the bathroom cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Nothing that a bit of bleach and scrub brush couldn’t fix. Management needs to fix this.

Subject: Suspected syndicate in scamming hotel guest To Supalai Hotel Management, Please take note that to-date we have yet to receive any respond from your management with regard to the complaint form I submitted on behalf of my friend on 22nd September 2016 as attached. He expect a satisfactory explanation, action and compensation in return for the THB5,000 loss he suffered as payment threatened demanded by the impersonal cum con artist which was supported by your hotel staff and we suspect that it is a syndicate your staff teamed up with outsider. We reserved our right to make police report as we have video clips showing your staff holding the room files with our private and confidential details which he purposely went reception desk and bring it instead of bringing security guards which was what we expect. As mentioned in the complaint form, please answer us that why would your staff which was already in our room witnessed the emotional uncontrollable and dangerous transgender hitting her head herself had failed to help us vacating her and went out and come back to our room with our room file ? instead going out and come back with security personnel or to get more help to assist your room guests whom was in dangerous situation? Bringing our room files with all our passports to show to the transgender is totally not helping the situation, unacceptable and putting your room guests at more risks by exposing our particulars. Is it your hotel's policy not to put your hotel guests' safety in the first place? And shows your guests photocopy passports to outsider without your guests' consent? Please respond within two days before we cc this email to the followings parties Thailand tourism board - China embassy- China tourism- Phuket tourism- Agoda- Trivalgo- Thank you. Regards
