Getting there
Great for walkers
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
We stayed here 9 nights this NYE. The location was PERFECT because we were on the main village so there was only a 2 minute walk to the Gondola’s. Our Loft apartment faced the back street which meant it was quiet while we slept(the council clean the snow off Main Street so these machines wake u up if u had a balcony on this side). Although we loved this place, the images and marketing speel make it sound like the Executive Inn is part of a huge building where it houses the fancy restaurant “ i’l Calmineto” and many bars. Despite it sharing a door, the restaurant didn’t give a toss that we lived above them, so it was booked out So we didn’t get to try it. The bars r walking distance, and not part of Inn. And one thing to note, there is no drying room. Despite these minor nag points, the staff are incredibly polite and will bend over backwards to help u(James and Tim r a standout). If u like a boutique place with your own fire place, this is for u. However if u want a big foyer with loads of subsidiary spots, then try the Hilton.

Response from ExecutiveWhistler, Front Office Manager at Executive Inn At Whistler Village

Thank you Nicole for your review, we are so glad you found our location perfect, it really can't be beaten. Sorry to hear you had issues with the snow plow, its unfortunate consequence of getting the snow we so desire here in Whistler. I'm sorry to hear of your experience with il Caminetto, I hoped you popped by the front desk we tend to be able to get our guests squeezed in when they are busy over the festive periods and if we can't we are always full of great recommendations. It's fantastic to hear that you found our staff accommodating Tim and James are great assets to the team, and we do pride ourselves on our service. We do hope you visit us again soon, Kind regards, Jack Front Office Manager

I would definitely rate staffing for both PM and Night shifts very well accommodating. Despite our room changes we were satisfied with the patience your staff have given us from moving from the village side to the mountainside and finally adjusting to the original room (323) over to the village side of the property. We were otherwise bothersome with the not-so-soundproof walls of our room while there was some major yelling from an adjacent room. Fortunately it got handled by the night staff and a few hours later it was resolved , I believe they were removed from the property as after a few hours it was silenced. The room (323) was relatively clean as requested by the front desk team. We definitely will stay with this property again and would recommend the village side although the added ear plugs are a bonus touch to avoid the unneccesary outdoor noise coming from the outside. My wife was greatful for the complimentary birthday card greeting from your staff and the unexpected complimentary parking gifted to us. A surprising welcome!

We loved this hotel. Not because it was super fancy or even taken care of completely but because of the location, unique room and views from every window.
It is definitely a small boutique hotel type in the very perfect spot in Whistler village here you may or may not find someone behind the front desk but when you do they are super accomidating and help any way they can.
We were worried at first as we were dropped at 1am from out vancouver to whistler shuttle but yanni behind the front desk was all smiles and was happy the help us with our luggage to the 3rd floor. The halls are tiny so moving a lot of luggage around can be challenging but doable. Our room was perfect with a full living room, dinning room, kitchen with everything you might need to make your meals, Nd a wonderful loft up the stairs with a nice large queen bed. There was no tv on the dresser in the loft as you would expect but we had plenty to do so didnt notice too much as the one in the living room sufficed although streaming would be a nice addition. The tall ceilings provided a long wall of windows with double shades so allowed as much light or blocking needed downstairs and loft. And the views, just spectacular. The wall of windows from the living room faced the whistler lifts and mountain which was fabulous. We loved the views.
The kitchen windows had a small balcony of them to overlook the pedestrians on the village walk. Some of the furniture could definitely be updated and/or repaired. There is a lovely real fireplace but it was unclear they provide a complimentary log and matches till i asked directly on our 3rd day.. the too large dinning table only had 2 chairs which was odd and there were no rugs anywhere. I would suggest a smaller table with 4 chairs and add some hooks on walls or somewhere for hanging jackets. The closet is in the kitchen and very dated.
The location was a perfect mix of very close to the lifts, resteraunts, across from starbucks and hot buns and groceries. It felt like it was alll so close and easy.
An additional nice thing was the hotel gave us a complimentary bottle of champaigne NYE. So great!
Only real issue was we were never out of the room early so our room never seemed to get cleaned. I ended up just calling to have new towels and things brought up and kept it all pretty clean ourselves..
Overall i would definitely recomend this hotel and specifically recommend 320 as it was perfect for us for a short week.

Thank you for taking the time to review us online! I am happy to see that you enjoyed your stay with us, and hope to see you again soon. I have our maintenance team looking for appropriate hooks for coats right now. We are also sourcing some new chairs for the room - there were more originally but the festive party season was not kind to our furniture! All the best, and I hope to see you again soon. Warm regards,

I would like to preface by saying that it is very rare that I leave negative reviews such as this, but I feel the need to warn potential future visitors.
My boyfriend and I booked the Queen Loft for our anniversary. I had looked at reviews and photos before, so my expectations were not even very high, but as soon as we walked in the room was noticeably smaller than the website photos shown and much, much less luxurious. Like I said, my expectations were not especially high and I know that photos online always make rooms look bigger and nicer, so I didn't have a huge issue with this. We quickly noticed that the the main light in the kitchen/entrance area was not working, and as this is only 1/3 main lights in the entire 2-storey room, it kept the entire space quite dark. At this point, my boyfriend went to the front desk to see if anything could be done. He came back upstairs with a maintenance worker who spent 30 seconds trying to fix the light, and then told us he couldn't fix it, apologized, and left. Because it was a long weekend, the front desk attendant told my boyfriend that they were fully booked, so we could not switch or upgrade to another room.
We then went onto our patio and found an empty Nude vodka soda can from the previous guest sitting right on the balcony, full of cigarette ash and butts, as well as ash all over the balcony. The can was actually very visible through the large windows in the room, so the fact that it was missed was very worrisome. The sofa was run down, stained, and had no throw pillows or cushions, making it really uncomfortable to attempt to lounge on. On our second day, my boyfriend picked up an old, used mascara tube from the ground asking if it was mine, which it was not. There was a dirty plate in the cupboard. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. One of the lights in the bathroom was out. Paint was peeling. Patio door didn't close properly. Obviously, I could go on.
At the best of times, it's never good to feel uncomfortable, or disgusted with your hotel room. But especially during this pandemic, I was appalled at how inattentive and rushed the cleaning seemed to be, and I did not feel safe. I can ignore the building being more dated than the photos, or the furniture being uncomfortable, and even a burnt out light bulb in the bathroom. But cigarette ash and butts, empty cans, used mascara tubes, and burnt out, cracked, ceiling lights with the fixture missing are beyond unacceptable in my opinion.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying in a suite at the Whistler Village location, and were very pleased with our visit. All of the staff we dealt with were pleasant, welcoming, and happy to make our stay as excellent as possible (Gillian, in particular).
Despite all of the excitement and fun Whistler has to offer, we were always more than happy to spend time back in our room. From the first night we spent there, it felt like a home away from home.
To begin with, the location couldn't be better. Situated smack-dab in the heart of Whistler Village, there's hardly anything you aren't a short walk away from.
The room itself was clean, cozy, and well equipped with all the amenities we could ask for. The fireplace was a very nice addition that really elevated our stay. All we had to do was ask for logs at the front desk.
The heated pool, hot tub, and exercise room (located at the Mountainside location) were very nice too, I only wish we had taken advantage of them more often!
Being avid cyclists, it was a big bonus for us to learn that they would store our bikes securely for us, when we weren't using them.
On the final morning of our excellent stay, we encountered a slight mishap with one of our bikes. However, the issue was short-lived. Serge Schnob, the hotel manager, graciously and expediently handled the situation, going above and beyond to help ensure that everything was set right.
I can't say I've stayed anywhere else in Whistler, but nor can I say that I'd ever choose to. Next time we're in town, we'll look no further than Mr. Schnob and the Executive Inn for an amazing and accommodating stay.

I will never stay at this gross and dangerous hotel again!! (The mountain side one)
I was there for 6 nights. During my stay, they only made beds, took away garbage, “change” towels, nothing else. No matter how dirty the floor is, they do NO cleaning at all. They also replenished NOTHING during this six nights.
One night I dropped something in the sink so I used one of the towel to clean it, the same towel with the dirty spot which I threw into bathtub was hung back for us to reuse the second day!!!!!
On the fifth day of our stay, light bulb in the bathroom exploded 10 seconds after I went out of the bathroom. Glass shards were everywhere, onto the bed, into our suit case…I can’t believe what would have happened if I were still in the bathroom.
And after all this, the only thing the hotel did was telling me that they’re sorry.
First picture is the chips of the exploded bulb. We put a tower of it so we won’t step on it accidentally.
Second picture is of the tower that they hung back. The small pink dots are what I wiped out from the sink.

I booked this room based on location and price for 1 night It was advertised as a micro queen with private bathroom. The room is small but bed was comfortable Ear plugs beside the bed should have told me something. The A/C unit is loud, the hairdryer isn’t hung in the bathroom and the shower is part of the bathroom so water is all over the floor. It is the smallest room I’ve ever seen and I have travelled the world. Could use towel holders on the wall. Plus they charge $30 for parking

Good afternoon ESK57, Thank you for taking the time to post a review. Our micro queen rooms are good options for travelers who are budget conscious. Your comments on the room size and washroom are accurate, but we find that there are some guests who return again and again to specifically request those rooms. For all incoming guests who need parking, $30 is the most affordable in our section of Whistler. There is the option of the municipal day lots nearby for $15 per night if you don't need underground parking though. Warm regards,

The hotel entrance was hard to find. When I checked in I was told there’s no parking and had park in a lot with no security and a 10 minute walk- the parking was free over night however at 8:00 am it was pay parking.
The rooms were very dated the carpets were stained and the furniture chipped.
The TV was small and the signal was weak resulting in a blurry picture.
Our room key only worked the first time we went to our room it was a pain the front desk person had to come up with the master key.
We requested a late checkout and the front desk person was rude!! It’s ok to do no but they were very rude!
Overall the most positive thing about this hotel was the location.

If you're looking for a budget place, group of 4 or 5, the mountain side suite is the one for you. The bathroom sink need to be unclogged though. Older hotel, but they are trying their best to keep up with enhanced sanitation. Parking is expensive for $30.00 each night, should be included at least. There is a parking outside, free from 5pm to 8am and will be charge for $10/day. Over all nice getaway as it's in the center of the town plaza :)

Sofa had stains on it. Ceilling fan look like it was falling out. Our room looked run down and old. Great location but felt like a really old building. Paid way to much for what i got. You also only get one free fire log and any additional fire logs are $5. Bring your own if you want a fire.
Staff were very kind.
The staff were really nice though.
