My husband, 3 children (age 18, 16, 9) and I stayed at the Liberty Lara during the last week of March. We chose this hotel because of the wonderful reviews here on TripAdvisor, and I’m pleased to say, it did not disappoint! From the moment our Taxi pulled up, we were greeted by a member of staff who took care of our luggage. Reception staff offered us a glass of champagne/welcome drinks during check-in, which is a nice touch! Check-in was quick and efficient.
ROOMS: Our party of 5 was split over 2 rooms and my request for adjoining rooms was kindly accommodated. This made life so much easier for us having to go between 2 rooms (thanks again!)
The rooms were well-presented and cleaned to a good standard. The beds were very comfortable (even for my daughter who has a back problem). We always got a good nights’ sleep, however, the walls are very thin and I could hear my boys talking in the next room. Thankfully, we had good neighbours either side of our rooms, so can’t complain about noise disrupting us. The rooms have a hairdryer, mini bottles of shampoo/conditioner/shower gel and soap. There’s a kettle and complimentary tea & coffee. The mini-fridge is filled with soft drinks, bottled water and lager, and replenished daily (free of charge!!!). The TV is in the mirror, there’s a safe, air-con and plenty of wardrobe space. We took our own travel iron, but I believe one can be rented from the hotel. All-in-all, we were happy with our rooms up on the 8th floor (the lifts up & down are quick too!)
FOOD: What can I say - there’s something for everyone here, even fussy eaters! My daughter & I are vegetarian and we ALWAYS found something to eat in the main restaurant for breakfast, lunch and evening meal. The choices are plentiful but more importantly; they are tasty! We often couldn’t decide what to eat as there's just so much choice (and we wanted a bit of everything, haha). My boys are meat-eaters and enjoyed the selection of meats/fish (especially the BBQ/grill area). We all left Antalya a few pounds heavier!
We also enjoyed the freshly-made pizzas (near the beach) but personally, I loved the pasta place next to the pool bar (the Arrabiata and Garlic Prawn Linguine was delicious!) My youngest child was in ice-cream heaven all week; often having 2 or 3 cones throughout the day!
HOTEL: We are thoroughly impressed with this hotel. The grounds are lovely and all the palm trees & flowers look pretty. It’s plain to see the staff work hard as high standards are observed right throughout the complex. Bravo to them all, they do a grand job!
Another reason I chose this hotel is because of the heated outdoor pool. I would have liked it to be a few degrees warmer, but it was appreciated as the other pools were freezing (and I mean freeezing!) I believe the heated pool is switched off in April because of the warmer months ahead, but if I had it my way, it would be kept on permanently, haha. We were however blessed with lovely weather (averaging between 22 and 26 degrees).
I noted 2 issues during my stay at the hotel. Firstly, the smoking. Smokers are able to “light-up” on their sun-loungers and also at outdoor food areas. I appreciate they try to cater to everyone, but health comes first. Some smokers are ignorant to the fact they are sat next to children (who shouldn't be inhaling their disgusting smoke) so for that reason, I believe there should be stringent rules and staff should enforce smokers to stick to designated smoking areas. My children & I are asthmatic and had to move a few times because of people's unmindful smoking habits.
My second gripe is the tiles around the pool area. They get very slippery when wet, so you have to take extra care when walking around the pool - I saw a few people slip. It would be good to see long rubber mats (or something of that nature) put down around the pool for people to walk on for extra grip. Apart from this, everything else at the hotel was spot on!
BEACH: The beach area was clean with plenty of sunbeds. The pier wasn't set-up, but I imagine it's lovely when it is. The sand is coarse and gets hot, so I recommend beach shoes from April onwards.
At the beach we met a lovely dog called Gareep. He was with hotel security and such a placid little fella. We loved seeing him wandering around the hotel during our stay.
THE STAFF: These people make the hotel what it is. From maintenance staff, housekeeping, bar/wait staff, chefs, animation teams, lifeguards, security, right up to management; they were all so wonderful, smiley and helpful. The guy that does the Bingo, Beach Volleyball etc. (can’t remember his name, something with 'O') was awesome, so friendly and he didn’t get offended if you didn't want to join in. Thanks to him for always being so happy and making us smile – next time we will join in!
The waiter that served us most evenings (Muzaffer) was also lovely and had great banter with my children, which was nice. In fairness, ALL the restaurant staff were kind and helpful. They worked really hard.
Shout out to Mustafa Uluğ – thanks for all your help prior to our arrival. The emails & advice was much appreciated, and it was nice to meet you in person. James & I were impressed by your ability to remember people’s names! Thanks for making us feel so welcome. Also Elvis, for being attentive and ensuring the guest are okay.
I cannot leave without mentioning the young lifeguard (girl with brown hair) who saved 2 young siblings from drowning. We witnessed a little boy fall into the pool and his older sister jump in trying to help him. Neither could swim and neither had arm bands on. My heart was in my mouth! The lifeguard was excellent, acted swiftly and rescued both children. Security and hotel management worked hard to locate the children’s parents, who were nowhere to be seen. Thankfully, it all turned out well in the end.
SUMMARY: I would recommend Liberty Lara Hotel to my family & friends without hesitation. We had a wonderful, relaxing holiday and cannot wait to return! Teşekkürler.

We booked this very last minute, much needed holiday and had our reservations about how much covid would affect things, but decided to take the chance. We had to wear our masks in the airport, on the transfer and on any public transport. We didn’t have to wear masks in the hotel, but all of the staff wore them. Instead of the buffet being it’s traditional style, each station had a member of staff handing out the food from behind screens. The food was incredible, from the seafood to the salad bar to fresh pancakes, omelettes, pastries.. the list goes on! Aside from the buffet, there is a fresh stone baked pizza tent and fresh pasta, there is a Waffle House and also one meal at the a la carte is included in your stay - which is 6 courses of deliciousness. We were given hand wipes before every meal and there was plenty of hand sanitizer around. The staff were fantastic, both guest relations staff and the entertainment staff made sure we had a great time - special mention to Sabrina, Busra, Sedar and Mustafa, who made sure we were having a great time. The pool is beautiful with bridges, palm trees and islands, it’s hard to get bored floating around. The room was great with beautiful views over the sea - the partial sea view rooms still have amazing views of the sea, they’re just at a slight angle. There are lots of daily activities from yoga to archery and evening entertainment in the amphitheater such as acrobatics shows and magic shows. The hotel is on the beachfront with a pier at the end, which is beautifully set over the crystal clear waters. We got the bus to Antalya one day which was €2 per person return, or it’s around €35 return in a taxi. There are shopping bazaars and a mall just a short walk from the hotel. We had a really really great getaway that was much needed. Thank you, we will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who asks!

Everything you are looking for in a Christmas Break.Enter the Reception Areas and you are transported into Christmas time. Greeted with a glass of bubbly and Friendly Receptionist ready to show you to your room. Your Holiday Experience has started...... Great place we had room 4114 with a balcony and Sea View. Because we had stayed several times before we had a bowl of fruit and a bottle of wine brought to our room courtesy of the Management. I would recommend a "Room with a View" as it makes it very special but all the rooms are very clean and well presented. Housemaids making "creations" on our beds most days. Mini bar was replenished daily with soft drinks and water, likewise Teas and Coffees were also. They Celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve. With Il Devo singing and entertaining on the afternoon with a visit from Santa in true Christmas Style. The tables for the Evening Meal were dressed for the Occasion and so were the Guests. Wonderful Food and drink were served and we were then entertained with a band to finish off the night. Whatever your style whether it is working a sweat in the gym, swimming in the indoor pool, having a Turkish Bath,sitting in the bar, or dancing the night away in the nightclub. there is something for everyone. The main restaurant served every type of food imaginable, table service was very good too. Snacks were available in other restaurants when this was closed. So so clean. Guest Relations Mustafa deals with the Clientele of the Hotel with so much competence and friendliness definitely an asset to Liberty Lara. Nothing is too much for any of the staff, always smiling and so helpful. We continue to book here at Christmas as it caters for us so efficiently.

We come to turkey Antalya to liberty hotel Lara last Thursday and since the minute entering the hotel we have been treated like royalty fantastic staff all round from cleaners up to bar staff and mangers are very welcoming and will do anything to help your needs. I give a special shout out to a top bar man named jack Turkish Ahmet great bar man who talks great English which helps in a country your not used too. The room was spotless every day cleaning and re stocked mini bar in your room filled with refreshments very clean hotel can not say anything negative about the hotel and it’s staff. We have had a fabulous week and would come back again thank you to all staff that continue to work hard everyday hope to see you all again in the future. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just returned from Liberty hotel Lara on 30th August. This is a truly amazing hotel even with the C word they had all the bases covered for health and safety all staff wore masks and visors so we did not have to. I felt safer here than I do in England.
ROOMS a little old and tired looking but we only sleep in them so never had an effect on my enjoyment. One word of advice is when you arrive ask for sheets for your bed as they leave only blankets these are as big as a flannel and stiff as a board not comfortable.
STAFF amazing all work hard and try to keep everyone safe. The restaurant staff ensured you had drinks and cutlery as you sat down service was prompt, all food is behind screens with a small window to pass your plate through, you choose as much or as little as you want. Entertainment staff were so friendly and welcoming especially Ahmed and Bushra they work so hard even when not able to offer their full itinerary helping also to make everyone safe and socially distant. Bar staff efficient and knowledgeable on cocktails Gulnaz always ensured our glasses were never empty during the night. Daytime was Ridvan the skater boy who kept the Shandy flowing during the day nothing was too much trouble for this young man.
TRIPS we didn't do as many as we would normally but in this day and age what is normal. We booked a trip with Tui to Kemer on a boat trip as they guaranteed the boat would be only at 1/2 capacity or less and we found this to be true only 42 people on a boat for 100 it was amazing we were relaxed all day with plenty to eat and drink. We were advised by the kind gentleman on customer relations to go to Antalya Old Town by taxi, so glad we did it was brilliant we were walking cobbled streets lots of shopkeepers but not many people felt so sorry for these buisness people trying to make a living. This was the same for the shops just outside the hotel it is a 5 min walk to a barterers paradise, also a great place for a turkish shave with cut throat razors and head massage.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wishes to relax and stay safe during these unprecedented times. By far the best hotel we have been to in Turkey

Just returned from a week’s stay at the Liberty Lara and can hardly fault it.
My partner and I are both vegan and the buffet had plenty of choice with lots of fresh salad and vegetables. The chefs were extremely helpful and cooked us vegan dishes specially, always spotting when we arrived and bringing food straight out to us. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious, we particularly loved the amazing fresh bread and the pizza hut! Cocktails were all quite strong but tasty.
The pool and beach were both beautiful, though we did find the pool a little cold so recommend swimming in the sea. The entertainment staff also did a great job and we enjoyed all of the activities.
Most of the evening shows were of a high quality, though the atmosphere in the Silence Bar afterwards often fell a little bit flat, though appreciate that numbers are limited at the moment due to Covid.
The staff were all so friendly, helpful and obliging. Everything was done with a smile and nothing was ever too much hassle. Really brilliant service from all the team. Shout out to Mustafa from guest relations who always went out of his way to help us with our dietary requirements and with any questions we had.
There was also a concerted effort to take Covid precautions, with staff all wearing masks, sunbeds being spaced out, hand sanitiser available everywhere and buffet stations having screens with chefs standing behind to serve you. There didn’t seem to be as many precautions in the spa, though we enjoyed our treatments a lot.
A few minor issues with our room as it was a little bit run-down, the blanket on the bed was a bit small, and the walls were quite thin so we could hear our neighbours’ TV through to the late hours of the night. But no major complaints and the sea view balcony was lovely.
Had such a nice break at this hotel and highly recommend it.

We have just returned from this hotel (luckily our holiday beat the quarantine by 4 hours ) and have to say we all enjoyed our holiday . The hotel is not as striking as some others on the "strip" but this works in its favour & on arrival our suitcases were sprayed and masks were dotted about the reception area as were hand sanitisers throughout the hotel.The staff all wear masks ,meals served to you from behind plastic screens,sunbeds all spaced apart and temperature checks done on entering the dining room (though this did stop after 3 days ?) To be honest our room was not to a 5* standard being small with no room between the small storage cupboard & the bed .The bed "coverings" were weird and again small so we used 2 though the bed was comfortable & that with the free safe,free mini bar, tv with some english channels and hot shower (not walk in) made it a comfortable stay. The food available was excellent with plenty of choice at each meal time & various snack options available during the day so theres no excuse to go hungry.You get to book one A La Carteper week and we used the Italian which gave you a 6 course meal, again very tasty. The entertainment was enjoyable & varied (loved the party night), The staff friendly,Swimming pool excellent with thick padded sunbeds with a few slides to have fun on. So summing up...We had a fantastic time at this hotel & though not quite achieving the 5* experience we all agreed that we would not hesitate to return.

I travelled to this hotel as a family of 5 (3 adults 2 children) for the last 2 weeks in August. This is hotel is labelled as a 5 star platinum with TUI and our honest feedback is that this hotel is not 5 star nor platinum. In our opinion a 3 star would be a fairer evaluation of this hotel.
Firstly the rooms are very disappointing, we stayed in a standard room with side sea view, the room is incredibly small, probably one of the smallest hotel rooms we have ever seen, so much so that the 3rd child bed does not fit properly, this means that you cannot get out of the double bed on one side. When we arrived at approx. 2am in the morning the child bed hadn't been put out in so we had to go back down to reception to sort this.
We had 2 rooms due to the size of our party and due to how disappointed we were we asked to change rooms, we were offered the same room but on a different side of the hotel but again these are simply too small for 2 adults and 1 child to comfortably fit in. We were then shown 2 slightly bigger rooms which we took, but the hotel charged us an extra 600 euros for this, this was after initially trying to charge us 1000 euros, whilst on holiday we learnt that other guests who had complained about their room had been upgraded and moved free of charge, even into one of the sea view suites, when we enquired about upgrading to a suite we were told by the hotel manager that under no circumstances could we upgrade as the suites didn't meet TUI fire regulations.
We stayed in room 4118 and 4120, although the rooms we took were slightly bigger, the rooms are generally very, very tired, the door was missing from the front of the mini bar, the bathroom door had rotted away at the bottom, the wardrobe door was broken etc - i have included some pictures to show this. I promise we are not fussy people but the rooms where sub standard for a 5 star platinum resort. During the 2 weeks we were there we spoke to circa 10 other guests who had also complained about the standard of the rooms. It became a bit of a joke as the holiday went on and we saw more and more people complain
The food in the all inclusive was of a good quality similar to that of most all inclusive we have visited, although there was minimal to no choice for children. Only 2 out of 4 of the restaurants were open which was blamed on 'covid'. We visited the Italian al la carte during our stay and enjoyed the food in there. There is only one choice of larger at the hotel which we found to be disappointing for a 5 start all inclusive resort.
The pool and beach area is nice, although during our stay the cabanas and free water activities were not open. 24 hour room service and bars were also not operating during our stay.
The bar and waiter staff are fantastic, they cannot be faulted and cannot do enough for you in our opinion. Im sure there would be more poor reviews if this was not the case.
Overall we loved Turkey but would not visit this hotel again as personally do not feel it is of a 5 star standard the hotel needs to be renovated as it is looking very tired.

Dear Simon, The Liberty Hotels Lara management greatly appreciates your patronage, and the time you have invested to post a frank, yet measured 3* review following your 14 night stay with your family in August. We welcome both, positive as well as negative/constructive feedback in order to chart our progress, and where necessary, improve upon the existing service levels and quality standards. We have scrutinized your comments with a forensic fine tooth comb, and in hindsight, there are areas where we could have performed better, however, that being said, in some aspects of your review we can politely and respectfully agree to disagree with you. Trip Advisor is a credible, information sharing social media platform, and for the benefit of our readers, we believe we are within our rights to counter a balanced response to your grievances. Rest assured, we have every intention in remaining balanced and restrained when countering your claims or allegations. There is no excuse for the 3rd portable single bed not being in the room when you arrived. We hold our hands up in this respect, and apologize profusely for the regrettable oversight on our part. With respect to the rooms? The room type you booked with TUI UK, was correct, and we honored the booking when the rooms were allocated. Due to the fact we do not have a fire escape at the end of the corridor, we can no longer offer the Family rooms at the front of the hotel. We want to clarify, that there are 2 fire exits, which are clearly marked and legible at the front of the building, but not in the location TUI UK stipulates, hence we have to comply with their decision that we do not allocate rooms to TUI UK guests beyond the fire exits. The fire exits are set back 20 metres or so, from the front of the building facing the sea. The 2 fire exits at the back of the hotel facing the main road and mountains are located at the end of the corridors. Just to recap; we have met the fire regulations in that we have the correct number of fire exits, that being said, the goal posts seem to be constantly moving as it appears they now need to be located at the end of the corridors. Now we have got that out of the way, we can get down to the bone of contention so to speak, which is the fact you chose to, without duress, and with your own free will to upgrade your existing rooms to two Large standard sea/pool view rooms which meant you incurred additional costs. It appears that during your stay, you witnessed a tirade of disgruntled guests, who it seems were of the same opinion as your good self about the room standards? All aspects of a resort hotels is subjective, therefore, the ratio of guests who may appear to be unhappy with their room is far outweighed by the vast majority who are more than happy with our hotels facilities and amenities. This industry has taught us that when guests come together and air their opinions, grievances etc, they often tend to distort or misinterpret the facts which compounds the situation even more. Thank you for kindly uploading the images which are deemed as somewhat ambiguous, and a tad bit spurious. It is true to say that certain facilities have been withdrawn due to the logistic challenges in maintaining safe social distancing. The Liberty Hotels Lara was required to implement safe social distancing measures in accordance with the Turkish Ministry of Health, Tourism and Culture's guidelines which are in the present climate, aligned, or parallel with other countries and hotels in Turkey. Fast forward to today, and it is quite clear to see that the threat has not gone away, and infections have spiked significantly. Therefore, in order to ensure the safety, well-being, health and security of our overseas visitors and staff, we have no intention to deviate from the path we have undertaken. Our honorable endeavors in this respect have been lauded by the the vast majority of our guests. The Marina Seafood restaurant (payable option staged once a week on our impressive pier), the Chiang Mai Far Eastern and the BBQ A La carte restaurants have been reluctantly withdrawn, due to the valid reason stated above, however the Italian Bellini and Turkish Tuğra are both available. In order to compensate for the loss of a few facilities, there is an state of the art outdoor BBQ/Grill, where we serve a selection of proteins (meat, chicken, fish, turkey, offal, etc) for lunch and evening meals. In addition to this, every evening there is a wok station where you can choose from a plethora of fresh ingredients, proteins, herbs and spices and enjoy a delicious Far Eastern stir fry. The pier has been assembled, and socially distanced sunbeds are available for guests to enjoy a relaxing day on the pier. There is also a bar available to ensure our guests are kept hydrated. The 24 hour bar located in the main restaurant which you may have unfortunately overlooked. On a final positive note, we applaud you for graciously articulating the positive aspects of your stay to our readers. Kudos to you in this respect. Liberty Hotels did not disappoint even during the Covid19 pandemic. Scrupulously clean as usual with the added safety measures of spraying cases on arrival, plenty of wall mounted hand santisers, even bottles of gel in our rooms. The staff all wore masks and adhered to social distance. We even had our temperature taken every evening before dinner.
The food, although not such a wide choice because of the virus was excellent as usual. Special mention goes to Umit, the Food and Beverage Manager and Salman the Executive Chef. The restaurant staff were so hardworking and it must have been unbearable sometimes working in the heat outside. Special mention to Mehmet Ali , Mehtap, Ali Erdar, Ercan and Hatice.
As usual my son had a couple of shaves at the barbers. The owner Ibrahim Cansiz is a very talented barber who always makes us welcome.
For the first time the hotel ran Turkish language lessons which was run by Busra Buruk. A very talented member of the entertainerment team. My son and I really enjoyed it and are going to keep learning.
Last but by no means least a very big thank you to the amazing Sabrina von Zons at Guest Relations. She really is a special lady who always does her best to help us. She is a real credit to the hotel. I would also like to mention Mustapha from Guest Relations who arranged a late check out for us.
Thank you to everyone at the hotel, from management to cleaners. We had a great time and have booked our 12th visit next year.

Myself and my partner stayed at this hotel 14/08/2020-21/08/2020.
The hotel is crazy design but really cool and pretty on the inside with a really unique layout in the reception area!
Rooms: The hotel rooms are very basic. However they do have everything you need (hair dryer,soap,shampoos etc). The rooms have a minibar in them which is stocked up daily with coke, pesi, ice tea, beer and water. We was a little disappointed with our view and when we asked for a new room we was told TUI don’t have any sea view rooms. Our fridge & safe wasn’t working when we arrived and we had to ask reception twice to sort this out. The reception staff aren’t very friendly unfortunately felt like you were annoying them when asking questions!
Food & drink: Food at breakfast wasn’t the best they was not much option for me personally. However lunch time was AMAZING! They offer a scan and order service at the snack bar near the pool where you can scan a barcode and the menu comes up on your phone, we really liked this! The food was gorgeous and they present the food like restaurant quality! The burger and chips is lush! They also offer a Pizza Hut where you can create your own pizza and get it freshly made for you!
They also have a donut & waffle shack which does lots of gorgeous cakes, brownies, ice cream and obviously waffles and donuts haha!
So overall the food is good!
They have some premium sprits which was good but you have to pay for some off them like Jack Daniels.
The entertainment at night was really really good! They had DJ’s on, live music, bingo, dance shows, laser shows, karaoke and an amazing magic show!
The hotels grounds are absolutely beautiful! We loved the pier on the beach such a relaxing atmosphere while drinking an ice tea looking out at the sea!
Overall this hotel is really good and offers lots of amazing little extras (table service around the pool) we got a very good deal with TUI for this hotel so we can’t really complain for the price! I would recommend to a friend !
