Just returned from a week at Villa Anthea booked as a Tui package. Can only echo all the great reviews already posted by others. The location of the hotel is in a quiet street less than five minutes from the centre of town with all the restaurants and from the ferry and the bus station for getting around the lake and beyond.

Everywhere in the hotel is absolutely spotless. Covid measures were still in place at the breakfast buffet (masks until sat at your table) which was constantly being topped up and cleaned and included plenty of choices and some lovely homemade cakes. On our last day, we had to leave before breakfast to return to the UK, so a packed breakfast was left on reception for us.

Lovely little pool, most days we had an aperitivo there after spending the day out and about. They also have some light lunch options, all reasonably priced.

The room had a very comfortable bed, air conditioning, fridge, blackout blinds, and wifi is available throughout the hotel.

The main thing that gets the 5* review though is the staff team. They were always on hand to provide whatever you needed, nothing was too much trouble. They clearly take pride in providing such a warm welcome and a high level of hospitality.

We would not hesitate to recommend Villa Anthea and it will our first choice if we return to Garda.

Stayed at the Hotel Villa Anthea for 6 nights. It's a small hotel but our room was spacious and had plenty of storage. They set it up as a twin room as requested. Our room had a bathroom designed for a wheelchair user; I do not use a wheelchair, but it seemed to have plenty of space and helpful fixtures. Staff all extremely friendly and helpful, all speak excellent English and German. The location is great it's only 5 minutes walk to the lake and shops, a couple of minutes further to the ferry terminal. Bus station is also just a few minutes walk away. The breakfast was good, lots of choice, some cooked options. There is a small unheated outdoor pool, sunbathing area and a bar. You can pay 100 Euro for a return transfer for two people to/from Verona airport, this was a good service. Would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I have just returned from a wonderful 10 day stay in the Hotel Villa Anthea.
This is a lovely family run boutique hotel, a stones throw from restaurants, shops, the bus station and the ferry.
From the minute you step through the door, you are warmly welcomed by the smiling and friendly personnel. Every effort is made to ensure that the guests have a memorable stay. All our dietary needs were accommodated and there was a wonderful choice of gluten free and vegan options for breakfast.
The hotel is spotless and very well maintained throughout. Rooms are cleaned thoroughly each day and all surfaces sanitised regularly.
Wifi is available throughput the hotel even in the pool area. The pool area is very well maintained and the same level of hygiene is evident.
Sara,Radu and Rosy are always available at the front desk to offer advise and book trips. Nothing is too much trouble.
The attention to detail in this hotel is amazing and on my husband’s birthday, he was presented with a card and a voucher for two aperitifs. A lovely surprise.
This hotel has certainly developed a winning formula and a lot of thought and effort has gone into making it truly remarkable.
A memorable experience and we hope to visit again soon.
Thank you to you all for making our holiday so special.
Deirdre and Michael Fox. Ireland.

Recently spent another extremely enjoyable week at Hotel Anthea even though under Covid 19 conditions. The hotel and staff have made, what we felt, a very secure environment. The staff work very hard to provide every one with whatever they desire from the plentiful buffet breakfast in the morning and nothing is too much trouble. We were a party of seven friends and the service given to us was exceptional. Any query or request is dealt with quickly and efficiently and we were made to feel very welcome.
The rooms are spacious well equipped and comfortable with maid service every day. On a couple of nights we came back to the hotel and had drinks from the bar on the front veranda which were very good value, not marked up like many hotels.
I would thoroughly recommend Hotel Anthea in all areas but the service is outstanding.

The hotel is located just a few minutes walk from the lake coming out of the hotel look both right and left and you can see a view of the mountains. The hotel itself is very very clean the small poolside area immaculately clean being a diabetic I have to be carefull with my feet and felt so confident having bare foot as it was so clean. Staff were very friendly funny and so helpful nothing was a problem to them and the owner was so knowledgeable on showing you places to go and how to get there and by the best way for value for money. Breakfast was a wide range of freshly made food. Even a honeycomb for fresh honey. Rooms were immaculate and everytime you got back there were freshly made beds and all clean. Our bed was huge. Loved the little tip cards and how to stay eco friendly with eco friendly products and kettle and tea coffee facility in room TV and enough plugs sockets requiring 2 prong adaptor if from uk. Only advisory was you paid for the hotel tax and all drinks food purchased through your stay at the end of your stay something we went used to but we had only round 8 drinks and the tax through our three day stay and was only around 43 euros total. Balcony was small but OK for a quick fresh air in room wasn't an issue as your out all day surrounded by the beautiful mountains and lake. When i say the place was so clean i mean it was immaculate everywhere and when ordering food or drink it's brought to you. The hotel was great for organising they contacted us the day before we left to see what time we were lleaving we left at 6am aand they provided us with a villa anthea back pack with breakfast in it ready for us as we were leaving before the 7.30 breakfast start. Towels were provided round pool if needed and they send you an email if you wanted to checkout online instead. Reception has a mass of leaflets and trips for information we didn't even need to contact our rep as there was so much at reception already. We got moved from another hotel to this one and felt we actually got a better hotel than the one we were going to. Would highly recommend this hotel right next to ferry about 5 min wwalking order to visit other parts of the lake and lake were you can sit in a restaurant and watch the sunset behind the mountain. Thank you hotel villa anthea

Booked this hotel as it was on a bit of a deal with TUI. What a great place. We normally stop in 4 star+ and go half board so weren’t sure what to expect. The hotel is small but is in a great spot, literally a 5 min walk from centre and harbour. Our room was basic but it was recently decorated in fresh white. The bed was comfortable and amenities included a TV ,tea and coffee making facilities and a decent fridge. The room also had decent air con and the bathroom looked like it was newly installed and was bright and spotless. Breakfast was included and was a buffet style in the small restaurant with a selection of hot and cold breakfast foods which were all fresh. This hotel advertises itself as a family business and you certainly get that feeling. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough for you. We were so impressed we looked into rebooking for next year. Sadly its currently booked up but we will definitely revisit and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Dear garrymoore2114, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay with us and that you enjoyed our facilities and the services provided. We love making our guests feel special and knowing that our guests enjoy their stays is most rewarding and it is always a great source of motivation for us to keep doing our best and constantly make further improvement. Regarding next year you didn't find us on the tui catalog/website since we we won't be working with them anymore. But you can rebook with directly from our website or by writing an email and we can also organize the shuttle/transfer service from Veona, Bergamo or Milan airport or train station. Otherwise if you prefer something similar as tui we will be working with jet 2 holidays from next year. We wish you a lovely day and we look forward on seeing you next year! Best regards, Radu - Hotel Villa Anthea

We are currently staying at Villa Athena now , it’s our last night , we have had a fabulous stay here. It’s a lovely small family run hotel , spotlessly clean everywhere. We stayed in a large room with a small cute balcony which we loved sitting on at nights. All staff are lovely friendly and very helpful . Breakfast is lovely , everything fresh, you can squeeze oranges for fresh orange juice . The coffee is amazing once you learn how to work the very fancy coffee machine. The hotel is very central for getting around , bus station just down the road , old town two minute walk , lake 3 mins walk , where you can catch a ferry to go anywhere around the lake . A day ticket is a good idea if you want to visit more than two places in one day. We have managed to see lots of towns around the lake , all beautiful but my favourite was Sirmione a must to see so beautiful.

Very nice family run small hotel. A short walk to the lake and local bus station although they were always late, not surprising with the amount of traffic. Welcoming on our arrival with overall impression of very clean and up to date surroundings. Our room had everything we needed, light and bright with ample shelves/hanging space for clothes. Toiletries provided and ample towels changed daily if that’s your preference, we chose every other day and received a link for ‘up2you’ a tree planting program. A bonus for us was air-con in the room . Breakfast selection was vast, fresh and continually replenished. The breakfast room was light and airy. We didn’t use the pool area but it was also clean and well maintained. We received a packed breakfast the night before our early departure which was very welcome. I would definitely recommend to friends and will likely return at some point.

Lovely hotel, perfect base for exploring Lake Garda. We hired e-bikes from reception, 30 euros for the day, and biked to Malcesine which is well worth a visit. It’s a short walk to the bus stop where you can get the bus to Verona for 8 euros return. Also not far from the ferry terminal where you can catch the ferry to various towns along Lake Garda.
Breakfast was tasty with plenty of options and the bar is reasonably priced.
Overall would highly recommend this hotel, you won’t be disappointed!
