My friend and I stayed in Nettle Cabin 2 nights in June. What an amazing experience. Peter is GREAT! Almost sound sike Peter the Great (Russia tszar for people who don’t know 😊). But he truly is. He is an amazing host and introduced us to hidden gem of local hiking trail of Boine lake trail. He was checking on us during our stay. His maintenance guy Jarod (sorry if I am typing a wrong name) was amazing too. The place is amazing and we had an amazing time 😊. Anyone loving outdoor experience will love staying either in bigger or small cabins or the tent. Nettle cabin is one of the bigger ones. Kitchen wise it is filled with everything you need. My friend slept on the main floor and I slept in the loft. Watch out people who don’t like heights 😊. Up and down on the stairs is quite adventurous! But it was great to have your own space for the night! Compostable toilet is great! No smell whatsoever. The full free access to kayaks, canoe, paddle board and pedal boat is amazing too. We fully used the opportunity. The lake view is to die for. We saw pelicans, beavers, geese and ducks in the water. Water experience was the most memorable one. Public washroom and shower were clean all the time and no smell either. We did bunch of hikes as we’re avid hikers. Tunnel island is 10 mins away, my favorite trail after Hunt lake. Morgan falls is worth to drive 40 min to see. And epic search for hidden gem of local hiking trail of Boine lake trail. Was so much fun! We went and loked at prospector tent. Interested to try it one year probably mid or end Sep to avoid mid summer heat. But the new build Berdock cabin looks soooooo good.! we might try it one year as well. Loved my weekend away in the wild woods hideaway. Great name, Peter! Truly hiding in Kenora 😊
