Although we traveled to so many cities in Europe and Asia, we never experienced such a host like Christine. Such a warm person who shows sincere interest, we literally cried when we left.
We traveled to Interlaken for the first time and found this hotel through Booking.com. We stayed here for 5 nights and it was surely not enough to see all the beautiful places around Interlaken. The hotel is located on the corner of the main road towards the city centre and about 7 mins walking distance to Interlaken West train station.
We stayed in a double room which was not so big, but this was exactly what we expected and what you pay for. If you desire a super big room and ac you should book a 5 star hotel for double the price. We went to Interlaken for traveling so the only thing we did in the hotel was sleep, shower and breakfast.. for these things this hotel is perfectly suitable. The rooms are clean, shower gives high pressure water and the breakfast.. amazing!
Our host Christine was so nice and shows true hospitality. She prepares the breakfast, which included fresh fruits, different kinds of cheese, breads, coffee, tea, juice, yoghurts.. The breakfast was really above our expectations. Christine greets us every morning and was sincerely interested in what we were planning to do that day.. She gave recommendations and because of her help we had an amazing experience in Interlaken. We will definitely come back to Interlaken and to hotel Alphorn!!

The small, family owned Hotel is in a residential area, calm, yet very close to trainstation, shopping and the city center. The house got even an elevator. Our room was bright, big enough and very clean. There is even a water cooker, fridge, hair dryer and tv with many channels. The bedding is of good quality. The very generous breakfast is very tasty and included in the very moderate price. There is also a free parking and the staff is very friendly and kind. We'll happily return!

We recently had a four night stay at the Hotel Alphorn and felt very welcome and at home. The owner, Christine, and her team were incredibly hospitable and hardworking. We had stayed at the hotel six years prior and Christine even remembered us after all that time.
The hotel is located in a quiet area of town and about a 5min walk away from the Interlaken West train station. Many bus, boat and train connections available from here including to Interlaken Ost where many mountain excursions start. Migros supermarket and a few other shops also across from the station and some restaurants nearby.
We had room 102. It was handy having an elevator to take our luggage up to the room. The room was always spotlessly clean. Beds were comfortable. We slept well. Plenty of storage space available in the large wardrobe. The room had both a heater and a fan however we didn’t need to use either when we were there. A kettle and tea and coffee etc. were also available in the room. Not sure if all rooms had one however ours had a little fridge. The bathroom was compact but very functional and clean. Could’ve done with an extra hook to hang clothes but that is a minor thing.
Continental breakfast was included in the stay and consisted of juice, fresh fruit, yoghurt, various breads and pastries, cereal, cheese and cold cuts as well as tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Hot drinks were delivered to your table. Breakfast was plentiful, beautifully presented and continually replenished throughout the breakfast hours.
Switzerland can be expensive for international travellers however we found the room rates here to be very reasonable and great value for the area. With that and the excellent team running the hotel, we wouldn’t look at staying anywhere else. We really enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to returning one day.

a small hotel near interlaken west station, you can take little shortcut from the parking lot to save some steps. nearby there's a little minimarket of you need anything too. when we first arrived the lady was not pleased that i bring little children (4 yo), she said that i don't mention her earlier (i never mention to any hotel before) and she said i had to pay extra. when i asked what the extra pay for, she said that it was the house rule (not government rule or anything). then okay i paid. things get a little tense for us for some moment but then it was good again. and yes you can call the host friendly, some other guest i saw was very pleased about the host. small room yes as expected, cleanliness is good too. oh yes they will clean the room daily, no sign "do not disturbed" is provided. but for us everything is safe and good. the room has no air conditioner, but there is a window. i stay on early June and it is cool enough in the evening. if you see there is a room option on web or travel agent that said "double room", it is not. they don't have one, we already asked about this too. breakfast is basic but it is enough for me, do not expect fancy one. but it was really local, with any kind of cheese and fruit too. overall it is a good stay, it is cheap and value is good too. you pay what you get.

Dear Mr. Skywalker, Thank you for your review. Yes, you just can not win all the time and this is how it is is life. If you travel with children we need to know that in advance to prepare the room accordingly and there is a supplement to be paid if you read our hotelpolicy carefully, which you did not do. The same thing applies with NO AIRCONDITIONING. We do not mention anything aout AC so please do not expect AC. We provide fans in every room and for us it is more important to have a good heating system then AC as we have all in all about 10 days that are hot per year. Of course we do have doublerooms but we gave you as an upgarde a tirple room. Our hotel has 2 triple rooms, 10 double rooms and 1 single room. Sometimes we just think that guests expect too much for a 2 star property and yes, you pay what you get and for Interlaken we have vey attractive rates. And we are rated as the 2nd best B&B Hotel in Interlaken and it must have a reason that it is so. Maybe in your case it is better to book a 3 to 4 star property and your expectations would have been met expect for the price. Our room and the entire premises are immaculately clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. Located in a quiet part of town, it is an easy 10 minute walk into the town center where there are lots of good dining options and shops. The Interlaken West train station is conveniently located as it is very easy to travel to the alpine villages and area attractions from the hotel. The included breakfast is wonderful. Christine, the owner, is fabulous! It is apparent she takes great pride in her establishment and is an outstanding host. She treated us like family and saw that all of our needs were met. After spending 4 nights at this B&B, we didn’t want to leave!

Small rooms, nice location. Very friendly if a little basic (bathrooms en suite but rather cramped). This was a value for money choice (with the added requirements that it needed to be near one of the stations and have a lift) - met the bill.

We stayed here for two nights for our anniversary trip and Christine checked us in. She said she gave us her best room, one with a view of the mountains off the balcony. She gave us helpful tips on things to do in Interlaken. When we got to our room, we were taken aback by how nice it looked. It was very clean, homey, and welcoming. The bed was very comfortable and the shower water was nice and hot. In the morning, we could see the mountains from the windows and it was such a beautiful view. The complimentary breakfast had an amazing selection of breads, pastries, meats, cheeses, and fruits, all served with hot coffee, hot tea, or juice. The location is also convenient because it’s a short walk from the Interlaken West station. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!

This is a lovely bed and breakfast. It is a short walk from the train station and everything you need in the town. The owner, Christine, is delightful and offers a traditional Swiss breakfast each morning and serves coffee however you’d like! The pillows are lush as they are large and filled with down. I highly recommend this little hotel for a warm, homey feel. A hidden gem.

Christine, the owner and host if this charming hotel, truly makes your stay a five star experience. She is welcoming, friendly and goes out if her way to ensure that all of her guests are well taken care of. Christine has a wealth of knowledge about the area and happily will assist you. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are impeccably clean. The ample breakfast includes fresh bread, cheeses, meats, yogurt, fresh fruit, a variety of cereals, juices, coffee and tea. The location is perfect. It's situated on a quiet residential neighborhood, a few minutes walk from the train station, restaurants and shopping. Christine and her staff definitely sets this hotel apart from others. Thank you so much Christine! We'd love to someday return in the spring .

We received the warmest welcome and the service throughout our stay was fantastic. We were up very early one morning and Sasa made us a packed breakfast to take up the mountain with us. The room was lovely and clean and the hotel well located for all of the local attractions and transport. Christine provided us with some good recommendations for the local area - everyone at this hotel went above and beyond! Thank you very much for the excellent service we received, we could not have asked for more and had a great time :) We highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

You will have to take the Train from the Airport to Interlaken WEST and they commute very frequent. It would be a pleasure if we could welcome you at the ALPHORN.
