This hostal is within walking distance to both the Atocha train station and to all major sites and attractions.
Rooms are very small and basic, but is en-suite and very clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was a bit noisy as faced the outside street, but the noise was from outside and not inside!
Very good price!

Great central location 10 mins walk from all the major sights. The palace to the left and the prado to the right. Friendly, helpful staff, room immaculate and cozy. Superb value, we were apprehensive about staying in a hostel, as we usually stay in 4and 5 star hotels when we travel, but
we were so impressed. perfect for a long weekend/city break.

This was the smallest room I have ever stayed in, and for $50 Australian the worst value in Spain. A larger person would struggle to maneuver the bathroom let alone attempt a shower. The no smoking signs mean nothing and the numerous keys work in some of the locks. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE !!!

This place is fairly basic, 2 single beds in a small room with a small bathroom and small wardrobe and a small table, no more no less.

Visiting Madrid in August was pretty warm and we survived the night by opening the window and having the fan on consistently.

This place is very central. We literally walked everywhere.

The people who run the hostal are very nice and helpful. Even with the language barrier, we still managed to get through.

As what I have stated on my headline, I was very impressed with the cleanliness. Top mark for this.

It is really easy to find this hostel as it is just behind Atocha, one of the main streets. It is perfectly placed to reach all the main areas by foot, but away from more expensive, noisy tourist areas. Eating locally in Lavapies, away from the tourist trap, is great.

The lady at the hostel was very friendly and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean and modern. I had WiFi connection in my room. I paid for a single room and was pleasantly surprised to have a small double bed. The room was small and compact, but at these cheap prices I have no complaints at all. There was no air con, but the room was bearable despite it being 37C outside. Had a great stay. Thanks very much.

The location is amazing..Lavapies,where all the best tapas bars are located,is right in the corner and Plaza de Sol is 5 minutes on foot as many other important places. The rooms were small, but clean which was the most important.

The hostal is in the center of Madrid, 10 minutes to Atocha train station and to Puerta de Sol. It is in a typical old building of the historic district, but renovated. The rooms (with shower/bathroom) are quite small, but very clean and tidy, facing the courtyard (patio), so they are not noisy. The recepcionist and the staff are very friendly and always willing to help you in every concern. A good hostel for low budget travellers (30 Euros).

By the very humble appearance of this hostal on from the outside of it. It is basic but clean and the day manager, Sonia, is really lovely. The best room by far is downstairs in the back. The location is fabulous.

Best location ever, it’s really close to Antón Martin metro station, right at the heart of Madrid’s literary district (“Barrio de las Letras”), within short walking distance to all of the city’s most famous attractions, which made me save money from transport expenses and discover lots of charming, hidden places by simply strolling freely everywhere. There are plenty of affordable shops, bars, cafés and supermarkets nearby. This is definitely a fantastic accomodation option for those seeking the essential, for a very accessible price, without anything fancy or superfluous. The staff was really friendly and welcoming, my room was impeccably clean, the bed was very comfortable, the fan worked perfectly fine against the hot temperature (which tends to drop at night anyway). They even offered me a bigger room than the one I had booked, which was really nice and generous. I definitely found my “home” in Madrid, no doubts about it.
