The hotel is very nice with excellent and very nice staff. A great place to stay is you have business near the university. Suggest to leave coffee capsules near the coffee machine and non-caffeine tea bags. As a tall person, the bed was a bit short although very comfortable.

We chose this hotel for its location near the Cima Hospital. It was a very lucky find for us. The rooms are wonderful, modern decor and very importantly walk in showers. Totally hate climbing into a bathtub to shower. Coffee machine and kettle in the room. Mini bar with space to put your own products ( we took fresh milk with us)
The restaurant is fabulous with a spacious heated terrace. We had dinner and we very pleased with the food…. it has an extensive menu. Breakfast was excellent we picked “the American” featuring bacon and eggs and very reasonable price for a big city plus more food than we could eat. Planning to return just for our own pleasure and there is an excellent shopping area nearby on the Diagonal.

Modern very comfortable hotel near the university. Our room was large, clean, quiet, and had good air conditioning. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were friendly and most were proficient enough in English. There are very good dining options nearby. Although the location is not near the tourist areas, it was well connected by bus and 10 minute walk to the metro, so we found it convenient for exploring.

This is a hotel in the modern style - easy to deal with, thought-through design, room spaces and casual reception areas at reasonable prices. But it misses the mark: instead of the design being cool and modern, the ubiquitous charcoal grey comes over as monotonous and drab. The rooms are not well laid out, with wide halls but no room for a chair; there's a huge floor space in the bathroom but the shower is 10 cm too narrow, and leaks water on the floor. Friendly staff, easy to deal with, good location are all pluses. Needs a design rethink though.

It is good in terms of offers for room and restaurant facilities. However there are two things to consider:
1. The internet connection is not stable enough to conduct work from the hotel, expecially on Zoom calls, so for that they need a serious update.
2. Another small thing, is that in some rooms the smell from the restuarant kitchen leaks to the rooms through the ventilation system, so that can be improved.
All in all a good experience.

The hotel is in excellent conditions and is located in a good area, although away from the city centre. I have not tried the breakfast. The restaurant has a good range of choices.
The only downside is that the gym opens at 8am what makes difficult to anyone travelling for work to be able to use it.

I have been remiss in not reviewing this hotel earlier. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay, made so much better by Mireia at the front desk. She kept us organized, arranged our dinner reservations, made great recommendation and generally treated us like old friends. Also, a shout out to the terrific on premises restaurant. Even if you're not typically keen on eating in hotel restaurants I highly recommend you try this one. Food is excellent and reasonably priced with a terrific bar and great bartenders. This hotel is highly recommended in its category.

The hotel is well located close to diagonal in a quiet street. The room was clean and modern furnished with all that I needed. Beds were comfortable, coffee machine, WLAN, all working very well. The restaurant was excellent - though a bit pricy - I enjoyed it a lot. Breakfast was innovative and good value / money. Personnel all very friendly and helpful. Only minor issue that I would critisize were acoustics room to room. I could hear the child crying in the neighbour room very well.

Clean rooms and spacious. Room is quiet and one could sleep soundly.
The breakfast are sumptuous with 3 choices to choose. I had Mediterranean for 3 mornings as the tortilla de patatas is one of the best I have had in Barcelona. Compliments to the chef.

From the airport in rush hour we paid about 33 EUR but going to the airport at 5:30am, whilst it was quicker, we paid 40 EUR. Next time I will get the L9 Sud metro line which goes from Zona Universitaria (15 min walk from Hotel Upper Diagonal) and serves both terminals at the airport for a fixed 4.60 EUR.
