Stayed in the Single Room. Yes the room is not that big but it was exactly what I expected. FYI if you choose a single room you get single room stuff so dont be expecting the size of a double room, ummm no. It was ideal for me as I was out all day. I travelled solo and felt safe walking to and fro at night because Barcelona always has a lot of people/tourist out and about.
Staff were friendly and kept my bags for me after I checked out. There are so so many restaurants & cafes within walking distance, you will be spoilt for choice. I had a pleasant stay and highly recommend it
The rooms were comfortable with private bathrooms and the rooms at the rear of the hotel have their own private terraces to sit out on.
Rooms had air conditioning too which was good.
The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the facilities were great. Absolutely zero issues with the room.
The only issue with the Hotel is that the main door to get into the building is locked by a key, a key which only the employee on reception has access to.
This means that when the employee who should be on reception is not there, you cannot leave or enter the building.
I was locked out of the building for a solid 45 minutes in the middle of the afternoon. I rang the buzzer multiple times to gain entry to the building but no one came for 45 minutes. There was also a gentleman who wanted to leave the building, he was stuck.
The employee who should have been on reception left a printed note on the main door stating they would ‘Be back in one minute’, this was not the case.
There are two reasons the reception was left unattended for so long,
1- The person who was meant to be on reception was taking an extremely large dump.
2- They were cracking one off in the back.
This needs to be addressed ASAP as this kind of behaviour is unacceptable.
The location was perfect, right in the mix of the bars, shops and restaurants.
I went to the Barcelona Football match on the Sunday, I was very excited to finally see Adama Traore play.
After being assured he would play, Xavi did not give him a place in the starting Eleven nor bring him on as a substitute leaving me extremely disappointed.
I can only assume that the management of Hotel Ingles influenced Xavi to not let Adam Traore play in the match, and I think whoever influenced Xavi’s decision should make themselves known and held to account.
There were a few scallywags who thought it would be funny to throw crisps at people out their hotel room window, this was not funny.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Ingles and would stay here again.
Also if you are using the metro to get to the airport , then you will have to pay for a seperate card to get through the last gate
Reason i put loud for the noise question due to no fault of hotel but there was roadworks being done at 9 in morning
HOWEVER barely slept a wink as at about 2am every night someone would come to replace all the dirty linens which happened to be stored on the 3rd floor. The noise of them dragging the cages about and literally THROWING the heavy bags of dirty linen in to the lift (which was the other side of our wall) was unbelievable. Went on for about 30/40 mins each night. Never heard noise like it. At first it was quite scary until we worked out what it was. Honestly thought someone was ransacking the hotel! Do NOT accept room 303 or 304.
"Very loud rooms facing the street. If you want to get a quiet room, ask for the ones in the back. Check for bed bugs!"Read full review
