Quiet decent choice regarding to the price and location. They have Every day cleaning services and the bathroom despite was very small it was very clean. The only disadvantage was the very very few room sqware meters (room it is ideal for one person) and the noise by the portable air conditioning machine.

Perfectly located: close to Barceloneta and to Via Laietana; a few steps from Barceloneta metro. Clean and silent Hotel. Breakfast at Hotel Santa Marta is delicious. We had a perfect stay at Hotel Lyon and hope to come back soon.

Small room, no proper air conditionning. Location is perfect in the Born area near pubs and restaurants few minutes from beach. Nice guy at the reception we could leave our luggages before check in. Check out must be before 12.

Go somewhere else! You waste your money in there! We had a room next to the reception, so small and we couldn’t sleep at all as we could hear EVERYTHING from the reception as it was 1 metre from our room. We asked 4 time (at 1am the first time) to change the room… we needed to complain and eventually they changed the room, no even saying sorry…

Me and my boyfriend went to Barcelona in May for a long weekend and were looking to stay somewhere with a great location and not have to pay too much. The location of this hotel is perfect! about 5 min walk to the beach and 5 mins to town center La Ramblas, lots of bars and lovely restaurants very close by. There is a bus from the airport that only cost 5euro and takes you very close to the hotel, from there we just followed a map and walked was quite easy to find it. I had read previous reviews about rooms close to reception etc. and thought to book it any way because what are the chances of getting one of the rooms by reception right?!... the hotel itself is in an apartment block and a few flights of stairs but it was fine, there is an old lift but I didnt want to risk it. We got the room right in front of the reception! As previous reviews, it was very noisy, the room itself was small but clean. The window opened up into a closed area so not a lot of air can get in and there was no aircon as it was May. (when i say no air con i mean no aircon, they had taken it out of all the rooms) The maids also seem to be the main contacts at the reception and do not speak much English so communicating was quite hard. As it was very warm and noisy we asked to change rooms and mentioned that we paid for aircon but were discouraged and advised to stay in this room for at least one night which we did we were also told the other rooms were the same and apparently we had the nice room. The following morning we asked to change again and mentioned that we had paid for aircon which was no where in sight. We were given a much nicer room (which apparently didnt exist initially) it was a twin room but we just pushed the beds together as most hotels seem to do this any way. There was a balcony, it seemed much bigger and lighter. The lady also gave us a stand alone plug in air con unit which worked wonders when i got sun burn :) ....So apart from having to be a little pushy to get what we paid for it was a good stay. When paying for the hotel when we arrived I gave her 20 euro too much and she was kind and honest enough to return it and tell me I made a mistake.

An old hotel on the 2nd floor in a neglected residential building. The corridor is in a U-form, and the 'office' is in the middle. You can hear in every room every phone call, all the rings from guests at the intercom, the loud discussions of the staff day and night and it's impossible to sleep. A real nightmare. They pushed me to pay me cash and I had to beg for my invoice... The room was not really clean.

in the middle between BORN and BARCELONETA and walking distance to the RAMBLA and CATALUNYA SQUARE, is perfect to stay here and do what do you came for to Barceona. the romos are small, elevator to reach second floor is tiny as many old style building in Spain, (use the stairs , great for your health) but everything wroks great, good wáter pressure, excellent AC, the hotel is managed by maids to chek in process for instance, but they are kind and helpful. was a great bargain for what i paid and waht ive got. many people complained about sewers smell (its tru, but is not big deal if u keep Windows closed ) this is because of the hotel location, very near to the marina coast where city sewers goes. i stayed 1 week and i had no problem with any odor.

This hotel is a little gem! Perfect location-metro is round the corner, beach and La Rambla are both within walking distance. The rooms are clean and comfy even if they are a little cosy but it’s fine if you don’t plan to spend much time in them! The staff are friendly, polite and happy - especially the guy who was working the night shift when we were there. I couldn’t recommend this place more! I am really looking forward to staying there again when I go back.

I stayed with my bf a few nights at this hotel, and we do not regret it. The location is just great; the Picasso Museum and the train station are walking distance from here, so is the subway. Rooms have wifi. We had breakfast included, but it's served at another hotel on this same street. The breakfast wasn't a banquet, but it was ok. The rooms are small, but cozzy. Plus the time that you spend in the room is either sleeping or showering. You can easily hear everything that's going on outside , and upstairs. But then again, you barely spend any time in the room. I'll definitely stay here again in the future.
