The hostel offers a bag storage service which I used while I was exploring Barcelona.
They were very welcoming and although I was only storing bags, they made me welcome and gave me WiFi access and access to coffee and water. The building itself is beautiful inside and rates are reasonable. I would definitely stay here.

The hostel is super located in walking distance from La Pedrera, Sagrada Familia and other walks in the centre. The metro station is 3 min, so you can make trips easily. Also it is easy to reach from the airport. The hostel is clean, very nice atmosphere and friendly stuff.

Primavera Hostal is a real gem in the heart of Barcelona. DI have noticed thet accomodation costs have recently soared in this increasingly expensive city but Primavera has managed to keep its costs to a sensible level for the beautiful, artful and homely surroundings that they have created. Our room (with en-suite) was clean, albeit not luxurious, but the highlight of this hostal is the decor of the public spaces which is really first class and puts you at home as soon as you walk in the front door. On top of this, the staff are very helpful and friendly...a real home from home!

I finally stayed at this hostel after waiting two years (Covid) to use our credit. I had a private room with a private bathroom. Overall, I had a good stay and I liked the aesthetic/ decor but there are definitely things that could use improvement.

1. My room smelled like a sewer. When i finally complained, the manager cane into my bathroom/shower with his shoes on, poured some draino down the shower drain and said, "we have to run hot water in 30 minutes." Which meant I had to run hot water as I never saw him again. He told me the smell was due to the age of the building but I have stayed in nothing but old buildings in tve three weeks I have been in Spain and not one smelled like this.
2. The kitchen is really nice except it seemed to be as much for the staff as for the guests. One staff member cooked elaborate meals first thing in the morning every day. Not only am I vegan but I don't think most people want to smell frying chicken as they eat breakfast.
3. Most of the front desk staff were great but some had such an attitude.

I have noticed that if anyone says anything critical about the hostel, the policy is to say: "thank you and we hope to see you again" rather than addressing anything which is really bad form.

I stayed here for a week with my 2 (18 year old) best friends. The staff we so lovely and accommodating, the hostel is so clean and looks gorgeous. Only slight con was no air con in the room so it did get very hot but surprisingly the room was quiet even though the hostel is next to a main road. It’s a long walk from the beach but a walkable distance from most of the main attractions, clubs, bars and places to eat. Plus, there is also a bus stop right outside. They let us use all the facilities and leave our luggage until 4am the following day after checkout which was amazing! Would defo recommend!

Very nice and proper hostel on a superlocation in Barcelona. The staff was superfriendly and helpful.

Rooms are spacious and the kitchen is superclean.

Only thing is that the place is not perfect for young children and baby’s because of the noise and traffic outside.

Coming 100% back but without my toddler 👌

My friend and I stayed here for 4 days, we booked a private room with shared bathrooms. Very cozy hostel with nice staff, the only problem which is kind serious was that there was no air conditioner!!! We got two fans when we asked but it was 26 degrees at night still.woke up in my own sweat.overall nice hostel, but don’t book when it’s so hot at night.

I'm an experienced traveler and this was the worst hostel experience ever. We dropped our bags off and went to explore, came back to nap, woke up to a bug crawling next to my friends face. We started looking around and it was a nightmare. We have actual pictures of one of the bed bugs casually walking up the wall- looked it up, 100% bed bugs. THEN they have the nerve to blame us. We just came from where we live in London and I can guarantee we did not have bed bugs. The guy offered us another room there, (no way) so they got us another (cheaper) hostel a couple blocks away. That experience was fine. We went back the next day and they agreed to give us our money back for the hostel, pay for the new hostel, and give us our money to dry clean our clothes to properly get out any chance of eggs. We came back the next day to "get our refund". The new front desk worker had no idea and the manager was a major was terrible to us over the phone. After finally getting him to agree we got our money back for the bug-filled hostel.... Two weeks later. It's been about a month and a half and we still haven't seen a cent for the dry cleaning. We've been in correspondence and they're exceedingly uncooperative. They're trying to claim that they don't owe us the dry cleaning because they paid for the second hostel and all these other excuses making all their earlier agreements a lie. This experience ruined our Barcelona trip and I never recommend it to anyone.

Hello, in fact, there are no private bathrooms in the hostel, but all common ones are comfortable and clean, one is really big. There was not problem for me to use any bathroom, even if I stayed with 2 kids.
