The outstanding quality of the hotel lies in its staff, who are uniformly friendly and try their best to offer good service. That in my mind justifies the fifth star.
The hotel has a lovely relaxing welcoming atmosphere and spotlessly clean as were the rooms. Our room was nicely presented, spotless, airy and bright and our room attendant kept it neat and tidy all day. I'm sure there is no need to change the bed sheets and towels every day to keep our environmental impact a bit lower. The only minor criticism was that with the windows open in the evening/night there was some noise from the street outside but not to an unacceptable level. This was only a problem until I adjusted the air conditioning and was able to close the windows at night. The surrounding street and pavements were cleaned/washed regularly in the early morning and the city obviously shows great pride in the appearance of their streets so as to give that feeling that they care about lasting impressions for its visitors.
All in all a five star experience and definitely recommended.

Check in was slow and a bit impersonal. The rooms are spacious and yet there's no great space to open up your luggage. We had one bag on the couch and the other in the hallway which was painful. The cocktail cart seems really ridiculous, fit out with all the fancy tools but I can't imagine how often guests would use it?! No USB connections, and only one outlet beside the bed so I charged my phone in the bathroom. We could hear quite a lot of noise from the street, can only imagine the noise up on higher floors from the rooftop bar that seemed to be booked for private parties. There is also no green policy in relation to towel changeover. Little things, but they did add up for us.
But by far the most disappointing aspect was the rooftop pool. It is teeny tiny, so can be busy, that's fine. Our first day we perched on the end of the deck for an hour. The service for beside the pool is non existent, unless you are an influencer perhaps? Our second day we popped up at 5 pm, the door lady said the pool is full. That's fine, we'll have a drink and wait and see. No service again. Had to return to the bar to try and order a drink (same as the day before, even though we were seated now). After 20 mins a spot at the pool becomes available so we went to ask for towels, there was none available. The door lady looks lost and says she will go and get some. None ever arrived and she never returned to us with any update. Instead we watched her and another staff member constantly on their phones. Even as we walked out at 5.50pm they are both on their phones and there is no "adios" or any acknowledgement whatsoever to say thanks for coming. There seems to be plenty of attention given to the diners in the rooftop restaurant and I just can't understand why this same service is not afforded to the paying guests of the hotel? Especially considering we were paying 600 euro/night for the pleasure!
We would not stay here again.
Breakfast in the hotel which was good, the restaurant gets very busy for dinner, it’s fun to watch the open kitchen with several chefs at work. Again it appears to be very popular with younger people.
Dinner was ok but expensive, if you order roast cauliflower that’s exactly what you will get a plain whole cauliflower that’s been roasted!
We ate in better food at half the price elsewhere, but if your into steak it’s worth a try

The staff has been extraordinarily helpful.
However, couple of feedbacks for international travelers.
1) the doors to the rooms shuts close too loud by itself since the mechanism is very loose. Should control that to minimum noise. Other rooms may be resting at all times.
2) room cleaning staff is very slow. Took them until 3pm to start cleaning.
3) room service does not have any kid’s menu. If you don’t want kids you should specify. If you do then you must cater to the kid’s needs.
4) The main breakfast restaurant breakfast in general is fantastic but the coffee is not good and you have no pancakes?
5)Wine selection looks good.
Let me first start with all the positives as I really wanted to give this hotel 5 starts!!
Positive:
The roof deck is fantastic, pool is small, but the service, ambiance and food is delicious – we really enjoyed our time there.
The sheets, bedding, magazines, and extra touches in the room are nice
There is a co working space on the A floor, like a SOHO house concept, but to reserve a meeting room was expensive – full day will run you 200 euros
Negative:
The room itself is dated, squeaky old wooden floors (you can year folks walking around above you)
The breakfast is nothing special, selection is limited, and quality wasn’t impressive
Music from the upstirs terries can be heard in the rooms up to the 3rd FL, it goes on to 12am during the weekdays
Be ready to also feel the underground metro, we moved a few rooms and could feel it up to the 4th FL (Metro runs to 12am on weekends and 2am weekends)
"The pool is an excellent option, better while the day is more hot, at lunch time. But the bar at the rooftop is very slow."Read full review
