Located right off major thoroughfares but in a quiet side street, this modern refurbished hotel offers well designed rooms and bathrooms. The breakfast is good as far as Spanish standards are concerned - I wonder when they will learn how to bake decent bread.
The outstanding quality of the hotel lies in its staff, who are uniformly friendly and try their best to offer good service. That in my mind justifies the fifth star.

An excellent four day stay in this beautiful centrally located boutique hotel. Very attentive and friendly staff at all times, particularly Myle our guest relations hostess who couldn't do enough for us and arranged some great visits and a great musical evening on our last night. The food, breakfasts only, was superb and the buffet was extensive and excellent quality. The fruit juice buffet was particularly good with a wide range of freshly squeezed and blended juices available. The cooked food was top quality and the service was second to none. The bar has an extensive selection of wines and spirits to choose from with the kindly advice of the bar staff. only the local beer, Damm, is served but that was lovely so no complaints there!
The hotel has a lovely relaxing welcoming atmosphere and spotlessly clean as were the rooms. Our room was nicely presented, spotless, airy and bright and our room attendant kept it neat and tidy all day. I'm sure there is no need to change the bed sheets and towels every day to keep our environmental impact a bit lower. The only minor criticism was that with the windows open in the evening/night there was some noise from the street outside but not to an unacceptable level. This was only a problem until I adjusted the air conditioning and was able to close the windows at night. The surrounding street and pavements were cleaned/washed regularly in the early morning and the city obviously shows great pride in the appearance of their streets so as to give that feeling that they care about lasting impressions for its visitors.
All in all a five star experience and definitely recommended.

Sharing this review as we came away from Sir Victor feeling a bit "meh".

Check in was slow and a bit impersonal. The rooms are spacious and yet there's no great space to open up your luggage. We had one bag on the couch and the other in the hallway which was painful. The cocktail cart seems really ridiculous, fit out with all the fancy tools but I can't imagine how often guests would use it?! No USB connections, and only one outlet beside the bed so I charged my phone in the bathroom. We could hear quite a lot of noise from the street, can only imagine the noise up on higher floors from the rooftop bar that seemed to be booked for private parties. There is also no green policy in relation to towel changeover. Little things, but they did add up for us.

But by far the most disappointing aspect was the rooftop pool. It is teeny tiny, so can be busy, that's fine. Our first day we perched on the end of the deck for an hour. The service for beside the pool is non existent, unless you are an influencer perhaps? Our second day we popped up at 5 pm, the door lady said the pool is full. That's fine, we'll have a drink and wait and see. No service again. Had to return to the bar to try and order a drink (same as the day before, even though we were seated now). After 20 mins a spot at the pool becomes available so we went to ask for towels, there was none available. The door lady looks lost and says she will go and get some. None ever arrived and she never returned to us with any update. Instead we watched her and another staff member constantly on their phones. Even as we walked out at 5.50pm they are both on their phones and there is no "adios" or any acknowledgement whatsoever to say thanks for coming. There seems to be plenty of attention given to the diners in the rooftop restaurant and I just can't understand why this same service is not afforded to the paying guests of the hotel? Especially considering we were paying 600 euro/night for the pleasure!

We would not stay here again.

We booked a deluxe room with balcony and garden view on a high floor for our 3 night stay. The room was pleasant enough, but the balcony was opposite a high rise apartment building and offices that looked straight into the room, the other building was probably only 50 meters away. The ‘garden’ was the roof of the restaurant and a patch of spare land. The roof terrace bar was interesting it had a small pool and served light food and drinks which were very nice. It was obviously a destination for the hipsters for after work drinks. A little later there’s a DJ. If you book a high floor at the back of the hotel to avoid the street noise be aware you may hear the music above you. It stops around 12am and I’m not sure if it’s on every night so worth checking.
Breakfast in the hotel which was good, the restaurant gets very busy for dinner, it’s fun to watch the open kitchen with several chefs at work. Again it appears to be very popular with younger people.
Dinner was ok but expensive, if you order roast cauliflower that’s exactly what you will get a plain whole cauliflower that’s been roasted!
We ate in better food at half the price elsewhere, but if your into steak it’s worth a try

We just came back from Spain after our first visit to BCN and Madrid for the first time. We stayed here for five days. The hotel located right at the corner of the high-end shopping street If you want to splurge then this hotel is your home. Starbucks is around the corner if you care. We love the blackout room with good view of the street & glass bottles of water instead of plastic. The hotel is modern and we love the big bar in the lobby. Breakfast starts daily from 7:30 am, 8am on the weekend, serving the same food with limited choices. Don't include breakfast in your booking if you book an early tour or arrive after 11 am. We didn't think of that when we booked our flights so we missed the first day when we checked in around 6pm. Everyone was nice and professional. We had drinks and food on the rooftop on our first night and they were good. We didn't get a chance to try the main restaurant but we happened to be there on the weekend that they had a club night so it was fun to join as hotel guests and people watching. After all, we had a good time staying there and enjoyed the beautiful city.

I arrived at the Sir Victor with an email from them confirming that I had paid in full including city tax. the receptionist booking me in agreed but insisted in deduction 200euros from my preloaded debit card. On departing from the hotel they refused to refund the whole 200euros even though I had not incurred any further charges at the hotel. The receptionist said that the email they sent had been incorrect, when I asked to see the manager I was told that there was no one available. thus city tax was deduced from my 200 euros. I am an 81 year old widow, all be it a very fit active old lady and feel the way I was treated when the first email was their mistake was appalling. I also found my room was not cleaned very well, the iron I left out to cool was not put away, the cover was left off the plug of the bath to expose all the gunge in the plug hole, the water from the shower did not drain away so I was left standing in inches of water. I don't believe the floor was cleaned in the three days I was there although the bed linen was clean and the bed comfortable. I am not a drinker but there were numerous bottles of alcohol in the room to incourage exrtra charges however there was no firdge in the room, unlike the rooms I had in other hotels. The roof top pool was difficult to actually swim in as the sides were all covered in mattress loungers with "body beautifuls" sunbathing. Luckily I have long legs and managed to clamber up at one end and get into the pool but there was only room for one person to swim in the pool. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone it is vastly overpriced and pretentious. I have travelled the world and stayed in both budget and five star hotels and this has been one of my worse experiences

Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time and share your opinion. It is disheartening to hear about the issues you encountered, especially regarding the incorrect charges and the lack of proper response from the receptionist and management. We apologize for any confusion or miscommunication regarding the charges. The hotel policy is to take a guarantee amount per night of 100eur, and the city tax is payable during check-out. Please know that your feedback is invaluable to us, and we will use it to improve our services and ensure that such incidents do not happen again in the future. We genuinely value your experience as a guest and we hope to have the opportunity to regain your trust and provide you with a better experience in the future. Kind regards, Myla Guest Relations

The hotel decor, location and amenities were all great and smart.

The staff has been extraordinarily helpful.

However, couple of feedbacks for international travelers.

1) the doors to the rooms shuts close too loud by itself since the mechanism is very loose. Should control that to minimum noise. Other rooms may be resting at all times.

2) room cleaning staff is very slow. Took them until 3pm to start cleaning.

3) room service does not have any kid’s menu. If you don’t want kids you should specify. If you do then you must cater to the kid’s needs.

4) The main breakfast restaurant breakfast in general is fantastic but the coffee is not good and you have no pancakes?

5)Wine selection looks good.

Good Afternoon Polat, Thank you very much for taking the time to writte such a useful review. About the doors, they are very heavy because they are soundproof doors. Our Room Service and The Rooftop menu will change next month and some of the dishes will be more "Kid's friendly". Maybe next time you can try it ;). And about pancakes, we do not have them in our Breakfast Menu. Thank you again for the review and we hope to see you next time you visit Barcelona! Kind regards, Júlia

We have booked the Sir Petit Room. Arriving we ask for an upgrade and they offer us the Sir Victor Boutqiue. The room is smaller than we expected (it seems it is the same size as the Petit but with windows). We can’t imagine how it would be if we hadn’t choose the upgrade. The room, beside small, had a number of little inconvenience. Despite being well decorated, it wasn’t very functional, my wife slipped in bath, there is no handle or sign to have care there. We think it wasn’t well illuminated also. The frigobar wasn’t working properly and TV system is complex but just offer the Spanish channels. We told about our disappointment to the reception at the check out, they told me they are aware they need to improve the warnings and accessibility in the room and that they intend to reform some rooms to improve them. I would recommend expect for this reform. I can’t say if the suites are better than this room, but as i said above, the hotel, in spite of being very well located, wasn’t our best experience in Barcelona (a beautiful city).

Fist I would absolutely like to thank the team at Sir Vic they are fantastic, customer service is at the core of what they do, the manager and front of the house staff are incredibly helpful and at your service at all times.

Let me first start with all the positives as I really wanted to give this hotel 5 starts!!

Positive:

The roof deck is fantastic, pool is small, but the service, ambiance and food is delicious – we really enjoyed our time there.

The sheets, bedding, magazines, and extra touches in the room are nice

There is a co working space on the A floor, like a SOHO house concept, but to reserve a meeting room was expensive – full day will run you 200 euros

Negative:

The room itself is dated, squeaky old wooden floors (you can year folks walking around above you)

The breakfast is nothing special, selection is limited, and quality wasn’t impressive

Music from the upstirs terries can be heard in the rooms up to the 3rd FL, it goes on to 12am during the weekdays

Be ready to also feel the underground metro, we moved a few rooms and could feel it up to the 4th FL (Metro runs to 12am on weekends and 2am weekends)
