Great location on Las Ramblas and easily walkable from the airport bus drop off spot. Unfortunately there is usually at least one or two dodgy looking youths sat at the entrance to the walkway the apartments are situated in, something to keep in mind if you are a solo traveller. A door pass is required to get into the Citadines so you do feel safe once inside.

We stayed in a studio and it was perfect for two people. There’s a pretty well equipped kitchen but we only used the kettle and fridge. Good sized bathroom with generous sized towels, although shower pressure was pretty weak. The mattress is hard - ok for us as we prefer a firmer bed, but if you like a soft mattress this is probably not the place for you.

We had requested a view of Las Ramblas and that’s what we got. The room was pretty sound proofed, but nothing can dim the church bells which start at 8 am.

Do take the opportunity to go up to the roof top. We went up at dusk and were treated to an amazing sunset. Sally too cold for the loungers in November.

The reception is manned 24 hrs a day and free tea/coffee and water are available. We didn’t take breakfast and from what I saw when getting coffee one morning at 12 euros per person for continental , there’s better options outside the apartments.

Overall very impressed. We got a great room rate by booking direct and it offered excellent value for money.

Citadines Ramblas is a great place to stay with a family. The apartment was clean, spacious, and had plenty of space to prepare and eat small meals and snacks. The location is very convenient--you can easily walk to Barri Gothic, the waterfront, and L'Eixample area. We were worried about the noise from La Rambla but our room on the back side of the hotel was very quiet.

They have free coffee & tea 24/7 in a machine in the breakfast room. Free bcn maps, the studio apt has everything you could need. 2-3 blocks from where the Aerobus from the airport drops you off at Pl cataluyna. Huge grocery with good prices incl wine & alc across the st. The rooftop terrace open 10-8 with loungers, tables & chairs. Anything you need(towels, soap, etc) just ask at front desk(no maid service). We just checked out(end of oct) & they DID have individual AC control!! It was not “turned off” as much of Europe will do. Fabulous location! & the frig had a freezer to make ice!!!!

Lovely location with alot of life and holiday vibe.
close to the train station and taxis passing by constantly. Plenty of restaurants and shops in the area.

Booked for a good few days. On arrival The desk staff lacked friendliness. Rooms are okay yet disappointing. Floors were sticky - toilet was not flushed the bin was dirty and so was the floors.

For the amount that we have paid to our disappointment there was no housekeeping. If you required your room to be cleaned there is an extra charge. For clean towels you get it yourself at reception.

The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher fridge stove and microwave. Crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, iron, safe free Wi-Fi and hairdryer provided.

Breakfast is very basic

The hotel has a very nice LOCATION. You can arrive from the airport with the shuttle bus and walk from Plaza de Cataluna. You have several metro lines within walking distance. Our room had a nice kitchenette, very convenient for in this pandemic times many restaurants had nightly curfews and to avoid crowds. Gothic city is nearby. Sagrada familia is short walk and metro away. Go to the roof for a nice view of the city, relax on the lounge chairs while enjoying an iberico sandwich & cup of wine. You get your own entry card for convenient 24hs movement. A little annoying was the church bell in the mornings. Staff is very friendly!

Stayed there in what was peak touristy time. View directly on the Ramblas with its non-stop flow of people 24 hours a day is spectacular. Not noisy as windows cut out noise well.
No cleaning service in the afternoon so for those who leave their room late, you might be in for a disappointing surprise of finding your room not done when returning in the evening.
Welcome at reception could do with a little bit more smiles.
Highlight is the location tight on La Rambla, with (paid) parking.
Receptionist though forgot to open the garage gate when I was leaving and it was extremely complicated to back the car, go up and ask for the receptionist to open it. He did not even bother to apologize.
Apart from that. Good experience and nice suites with everything needed available

We stayed 6 nights at The Citadines Ramblas, the location is the best we could choose,it is on the Ramblas, but we had a very quiet room on the back side, the studio room was big and very comfortable.,very clean. The rooms have a kitchenet whit all you may need, so we could have a light breakfast before starting the day. There is a big supermarket just opposite the hotel. The staf at the reception was friendly ,profesional and polite.
I recomend the hotel very much

As a family of four (kids 4 and 6) we have been very happy with the location of this hotel. Staff have been wonderful. Water and coffee available in lobby, grocery store and market across the street. Rooms are spacious. It’s clean, it’s got a great location, pull out couch is most comfortable I have every slept on. I could not ask for more for this price point with location in a big city

Clean room, very god location. Rooftop is pretty nice as well. Central location so on the weekend late at night you can hear some yelling from passerby’s. Also one of the many churches nearby has a bell that rings every half hour. Only during the day though. Most days I found it added to the charm of the city.

We have been fortunate to have visited Barcelona many times during many years...In November we visited again to board a Transatlantic Cruise on the Vision of the Seas. This is the third time we stay at The Citadines,in Barcelona. It has a great Location- right at Las Ramblas, it has great accomodations, and the covenience of a studio, where we could do some light cooking. The staff is friendly and helpful (Gracias, Marc) Citadines is an excellent hotel and we reccommend it highly.

When we stayed last month the bathroom had a teeny tiny amount that you could see on the bottom of the shower on the wall of the shower head..I would not ever consider it “a mold problem” though. I posted a pic & if you zoom in, you can just barely see it. Other than that the bathroom was spotless & seemed brand new, as was the rest of the studio & hotel grounds.

1. A cab can take you to the front door. Or there are 2 subway stops close by. Or it is a 5 minute walk from the Airport bus stop (near Placa Catalunya) 2. We used the clothes washing machine - I think it was all automated. I don't recall putting in any detergent. Clothes came out fine. 3. Good water pressure in shower. Lots of hot water. Enjoy your stay!

They are excellent. When checking out they offer the use of a secure room for suitcase storage. They also advise that you are welcome to spend as long as you like in the lounge on the same floor as reception with tea/coffee facilities. There is a toilet and changing room to get organised for your flight. There is a large supermarket directly across La Rambla with plenty of cheap sandwiches, etc. It is probably less than a five minute walk to the Aero Bus stop to the airport. From memory around 9 Euro per person. Buses specially designed with racks to stack suitcases in the bus. You won't be disappointed.
