Hotel's Favourite
This family run hotel is a gem located just on the outskirts of San Sebastian on Mount Igeldo. A bus stop is situated outside the door making it very easy to forget your car and take public transport into the city. We have been coming here for 20 years and it just gets better. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff could not be more helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Get a sea view room if you can, it's worth paying extra for the stunning view. Great varied breakfast which is served in a room overlooking the bay. The room can also be used during the day where you can havectea/coffee etc free of charge. I really cannot recommend this place enough.

We were very happily surprised - this hotel is much nicer than many 2 star places - an excellent position for us just above the town in a quiet district and with perfect sea and city panoramas. The owner and his family were very welcoming and we agree with other reviews that they could not be beaten. French and English also spoken here, and we met a mix of other guests Spanish, Dutch, English, American and French.
Plenty of easy parking and even a lift for the bags. Although no evening restaurant, they ordered a pizza for us one night, and for the others I recommend to take the tiny road north (right) out of the hotel towards Igeldo along coast, and after about 1km there are several tabernas each side of the road - some appear closed, but be brave, they are welcoming and much better value than down on the seafront. All in all excellent trip.

My family had an amazing experience at this hotel. The hotel has a breathtaking view of the sea, very good breakfast and an outstanding, friendly and helpful staff. I cannot say enough good things about the staff! The location is just outside the center of the city, which makes the area very quiet. Public transportation (bus) can be taken in front of the hotel, even though we used taxi to move around town.

This is a small family hotel on the outskirts of the city. We stayed in the hotel from 9/14 thru 9/21. It was a wonderful experience. We are planning to return to this hotel next year. Its location is great. Although is about a 15 to 20-minute walk to la Concha, there is a public bus that stops in front of the hotel, and only takes 15 minutes to get to the Old Town. The cost of the trip is just 1.85 euros. Additionally, the hotel provides ample free parking. The rooms are relaxing and extremely clean, and the beds are comfortable. A tasty continental breakfast is included with delicious cakes that are baked the night before. The hotel provides good WIFI and has an elevator for those like me that have trouble walking. The best of this hotel is its people all of them were very helpful in recommending places to visit and eat all over the Basque region. During our stay, I mentioned to Inaki that I had problems with my balance, to my surprise that same afternoon they had installed a handle in my shower. Special thanks to Inaki, Iratxe and Leyvze they made our stay in San Sebastian even better. Hopefully, I wrote their names correctly.

Fantastic quirky hotel on a mountainside, with spectacular views, wonderful welcoming staff, for whom nothing was too much effort. Breakfast is good value, and they make their own cakes, which are delicious! Personal favourites were the apple cake and the carrot cake.

The manager is a really friendly guy, he takes the time to offer local guidance and help.

We could not ask for more, superb place, don't hesitate to book.

We enjoyed our stay at this quaint and comfortable hotel on a hill next to San Sebastian. The staff were very helpful, and when I emailed them about requiring dairy-free milk for breakfast, they made a dairy-free cake especially for me! The bus into town stops right outside and takes about 20 minutes to reach the centre of town. Its a lovely quiet option away from the hustle of San Sebastian, nice to come back to a quiet room and a cool sea breeze in the evening. Tip: request a room facing the sea. You pay a bit extra, but you get a cool breeze at night and you're away from the road.

My Grandaughter and I stayed here whilst dancing at the dancing World Cup in San Sebastián and I can’t rate this hotel high enough.
Nothing is too much trouble for the owners who are friendly and accommodating.
I booked here as I was drawn to the fact it was family run and not corporate .
Stunning views from comfortable clean rooms which are serviced daily .
We felt safe and cared for . Thank you for your care. We’d love to return.

This friendly hotel is in a beautiful spot on a hill overlooking the ocean.
The views are fantastic.
There are beautiful walks around the area, just follow the signs for the "Camino de Santiago" for a while.
We had a room with balcony, which is probably great in the summer. In September it was a bit to cold and exposed to spend time on, because it faces north east, so no sun and a cold wind most of the time, but off course the view from our room was beautiful. The hotel caters for breakfast, but not for any other meals and there are no restaurants or shops in walking distance. So you have to drive or take a bus every time you want to eat.
There is a rugged trail, muddy in paces, to San Sebastian, which takes about 25 minutes to walk down.

The best was the people working at the hotel! Just trying to make your stay the best: giving all the tourist information, being attentive to your needs, communicative. Thanks to all!
The hotel, with parking, is situated not in the center,, with a wonderful view, you can even walk to the center through a beautiful trail o just take the bus opposite to the hotel.
The rooms are comfortable, clean, good bed and good shower.
The breakfast is great.
The only con, for us, was the price during the days that fell on Eastern. It seemed a little high price for a 2 stars hotel,. Besides that, only good things to tell about this place!

A simple family owned hotel, but everything was great. Hosts/owners were very friendly and helpful with advice about San Sebastian. We had a balcony with a beautiful view of the water. We walked down into town, there is also a bus right to the door or the funicular. Free parking. Very quiet except for shoes on hardwood from room above. Maybe request top floor. There are many expensive hotels in the heart of San Sebastian - this is just a bit outside and easier on the pocketbook.

I cant recall either - although we stayed in August (peak summer time) last year and the hottest day in the week we stayed was about 25 degrees Celsius with most days hovering around 17 - 21 degrees nice and pleasant without being hot - so I definitely was not hot in the hotel.

What is the number of the bus from the bus station to hotel Leku eder. Thank you.
Answer from lekueder
From the main bus station till the hotel you have to take two buses. Close to the main bus station the bus number 28 that will leave you in the Boulevard in the centre and, once there you have to go to Plaza Guipúzcoa and take the bus number 16 that is every half an hour and will leave you just in the entrace of the hotel. Another option, is to take a taxi from the main bus station till the hotel; you have a taxi stop in the station.
