The building is beautiful, the location very good and the service discreet and professional. The hotel is situated in a former palace so the general feeling is very elegant yet cosy - it is a relatively small building if you compare to other 5 stars hotels in Paris. My favourite part of the stay was a cat hanging out in the lobby area:) Our room was spacious and very comfortable however it had a little worn out feeling. I think a renovation would be a good idea to keep the exclusivity level that the hotel aspires to. Big plus for the amenities in the bathroom - they were all Guerlain cosmetics and I was happy to be able to use them without worrying that I’m using some unknown brand products.

This château, its staff, interior design, location, restaurant, ambiance and spa are outstanding! One of the best I have ever stayed in and I travel a lot! I celebrated my 40th birthday here and it was so memorable and special! A personalised note from the general manager, thoughtful complimentary gestures from management and the most outstanding patisserie on site who baked the most delicate and beautiful birthday cake for me - also prepared melt in your mouth pain au chocolat in a unique shape for breakfast. Everything was just perfect! All communications pre arrival were promptly answered and their concierge Pascal is friendly, attentive and excellent in all his communications. Every staff member in the restaurant again is smiling, attentive and quick. The stunning rooms and facilities are extremely clean and interior design every girl’s dream! Very beautiful and well thought out. It may have been refurbished but I didn’t see a single mark or scratch on walls/furniture, no dust/spider webs and every day our room looked impeccable. Towels were thick and beautifully branded - everything was just pure luxury! I loved every detail and Saint James Paris truly made my birthday unforgettable! A château in the middle of Paris walking distance to main sights. Restaurant is out of this world and the chef down to earth and comes to your table! The building is a beautiful landmark, a château in Paris, on well groomed grounds that offer space to park your car. Our room was very well equipped and tastefully decorated, with extremely comfortable bed and sitting area. The amenities were designed with a remarkable attention to all the details that make a stay pleasant and comfortable. The baked goods served at breakfast were sublime.
But, most of all, what made our stay exceptional and an absolute delight was the staff's courtesy, professionalism and eagerness to help. For example, I had great flexibility in rearranging a luncheon meeting with friends from the dining room to the beautiful library for a simpler meal. And, since we had to leave very early before breakfast could be served to us, the two men who worked at the reception desk at night, besides helping us to load our luggage in the car, kindly offered to make coffee for us to drink during our drive to the airport, something that we would not even have thought of asking for. A truly exceptional service by all members of the staff.

I stayed at the St. James Paris on a recommendation from a friend and was amazed by the experience. From check-in to the concierge services, room, hotel decor, and check-out the hotel took very good care of us. The warmth and attentiveness of the staff is particularly worth noting. It truly exemplifies the value of a boutique hotel and can make your stay exceptionally pleasant. The location of the hotel is also very convenient for shopping and sightseeing. I intend to stay there again and would gladly recommend it to others.

Just returned from a 4 night stay in Sept 2022 at the St James Paris in a Deluxe Room.
Summary: Wonderful hotel, and would recommend to family and friends.
Pros: Our room number was 108, a corner room facing the front of the hotel on the second level. View was great overlooking the fountain, garden and entry to the hotel, seeing people coming and going. Sound proofing was very good, no noise internally from adjoining or rooms above, nor from outside when windows closed. Windows open like doors, and lovely setting with gardens and fountain. Condition of the hotel is perfect, an historic majestic interior maintained in perfect condition. Room and amenities were top class. All staff we met were welcoming, pleasant and professional.
Cons: The only recommendation is that the cleaning staff, clean the bird poop from the ledge outside the windows before new guests move in.
Tips: 1) Ask for room facing the front of the hotel as the view is great 2) Porte Dauphine metro station is just a two minute walk away, and the final stop on Line 2, we found the metro is a safe and convenient mode of transport. 3) A 20 min walk to Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysee. 4) Le Scossa at the Victor Hugo roundabout (10 min walk from the hotel) is a good easy going restaurant at any time of the day.

I would like to thank Line and Tomas for making my stay so comfortable. At check-in Line surprised me with a gorgeous room.
The hotel somehow manages to make guests feel like they are at home despite being a large and imposing property. The personalisation of the guest experience is really special and something which I appreciate.
My only suggestion would be that the pool area is tidied up regularly so as to make it safer for guests and indeed a prettier space to enjoy and relax.
I look forward to returning.

Bitter sweet stay at this beautiful chateau. The front of the building is beautiful with a stunning entrance. The greeting staff are very pleasant. On entering the dinning room I was really upset and freaked out by the two zebra heads over the fire place, this is not acceptable in today’s society!
The weather was terrible so we decided to stay in the restaurant for dinner. The only vegan option they could offer was soup and fries. The hotels saving grace here was the waiting staff and chef who tirelessly tried to make entrees, desserts etc. They were genuinely interested in food options and what they could do for us! They were very attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. Purely for the restaurant/bar staff we would recommend this hotel.

We had a wonderful experience at Saint James Paris. We spent a long weekend over Valentine's Day and my birthday and our stay here made it all feel so special. The location of the hotel is close to many of the sights, while also feeling much more "local". The neighboring streets are quaint, quiet, and a very nice to walk to and from. The hotel itself is so exquisitely renovated, old-world charm with full amenities. The average room was well-organized to give optimal space. Ask for an extra luggage rack if you're one to pack a lot. Closet space is smaller than Americans are probably used to. We even took some time to enjoy the beautiful indoor pool area, complete with a sauna and steam room. Be sure to book a spa service as well. I started off a day of walking in Paris with a relaxing massage. I even took an afternoon to lounge in the room, nap off my jetlag with my window open to the cool air. The restaurant's breakfast service is delicious and I couldn't get enough of the wonderful pieces of bread and egg dishes. The service was impeccable, although we didn't really want for anything as it was all taken care of. It was my first time in Paris, and even though it's a little more away from many attractions, I look forward to staying here again.

Very calm, beautiful and relaxing in central Paris. Excellent food, every single item at breakfast was surprisingly tasty. The room (junior suite) was very quiet and very good value at a quite low room rate.

We traveled through Paris, Venice, Florence, and Rome staying at 5 star hotels with Michelin star restaurants over a 2 week period and Saint James Paris was easily the BEST hotel experience throughout our trip!
Everything was seamless, from the meet-and-greet upon arrival at the airport, organized transportation, to concierge arranged tours and restaurants, my wife and I could not have asked for a better experience.
The room was exceptional, library bar served delicious snacks, nightly turn-down service, and friendly staff accentuated our time.
The location was also ideal, and coming back to the courtyard on your way to the chateau provided a sense of reprieve from the busy streets in Paris.
We cannot wait to go back!

Bonjour ! So sorry the company hosting most French sites suffered a fire yesterday in one of its warehouses housing servers so many are not accessible. The Saint James Paris will reopen gradually in spring, all areas will be open by the end of June and the property will be brand new inside and out! How smart and what good taste you have to want to have your wedding at the beautiful and elegant St. James Hotel in Paris. Your marriage will be off to a good start and those who attend your wedding will love the venue and Paris!
