Pleasantly surprised with modern decor and bedding. Comfortable mattress. Very clean. Good price. Friendly staff. Can park outside room. Would definitely stay here again. Don't be put off by the fact this is an economy hotel. Stayed in the Holiday Inn Express across the street and would say Econo Lodge is the better deal for an overnight stay.

Stayed here on our way to Quebec for a family reunion. Room was nice and clean, comfortable beds. We ate at a restaurant just up the street called Gillies food was great with large portions and reasonably priced.

The hotel was Clean and quiet. The rooms are your typical room and offer all amenities. It was nice to park directly outside our door. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The nearby restaurant had good food and pleasant staff. We will stay here again.

We stayed here for one night recently. The woman at the front desk was extremely friendly and gave me the senior discount without asking. The room was non smoking as we wanted and had a direct access from where we parked our car, and an access to the hallway which went up to the lobby and directly to the restaurant called Green Tomato Bar and Grill. It was fantastic. the food was extremely good and the server was good and made sure we had everything we wanted.
They supply an good continental breakfast and free newspapers. The room was a decent size and was clean which is so important. We would stay there anytime we happened to be in the area.

The worst travel experience
Having to go up north for work, I was looking for a motel that would also take my three house trained dogs ... The Eco Lodge advertised just that - Pet Friendly with no surcharge ...
You can imagine my shock when on day four they evicted at midnight, in the cold, in the dark, in a strange town and no place to go ... they said that there was an odour coming from the room although the police were called and no odour was identified but at this point I had to go ...
They still charged me for the room that night - disputing this with my credit card company and they charged me for $800 in damages - also disputing this
I would strongly recommend avoiding New Liskeard - especially this hotel

We visit New Liskeard quite often and we always stay at Econo. It is a great place to stay. It is always very , very clean and the staff are excellent !!
The motel is in a great location as well. Close to a Walmart and a mall and many places to eat.

Dont let the outside of the building scare u. Hotel has a low maintenance simple northern feel on the outside. Inside is updated modern and very clean. Staff very friendly and breakfast is included. Alot of other amenities close by (food, gas, Walmart)

FYI we stayed at this hotel for the Biker's Reunion. Pleasantly surprised that the hotel was clean and well kept. Staff was excellent and very pleasant. Changes in accommodations were fixed immediately. Breakfast was continental but breakfast room was clean and bright.

The hotel room was fine and the air conditioner worked well. The free breakfast was sparse but adequate. The restaurant attached was never opened when we were there. Close to the Dymond end of New Liskeard with Walmart, Canadian tire etc. near by. Was quiet and you drove right up to the door, and there was also a door to an inside hallway from the other side of the room.
