Detailed Reviews
I needed to find a quiet place to finish writing a book. I liked the look of these units in the membership directory so decided to book them.
There was plenty of room so I could invite some company, if I wanted to, although the primary purpose of my stay was to work.
The condo was huge. 4 bedroom and 3 1/2 baths.
The kitchen was incredibly well equipped with good quality pots, enough dishes to feed an army, and even had sharp knives, which is unusual in any condo I've ever stayed in.
It was a little off the beaten path, but had nice walking trails.
A vehicle is an absolute must.
The only thing I was never able to figure out was the main television. I didn't contact the front desk/office, though - it wasn't that big a deal and besides, there were other televisions to watch.
There were 4 levels to this unit. Lower level, bedroom level, kitchen/dining/living level, and master suite level. Stairs were unavoidable, so if you have mobility issues, this is not the place for you.

+1
The Residences at Fairmont Ridge are the newest townhouses in this development. They are luxurious and comfortable and everything works. The townhouse I stayed in had two lower floor bedrooms (with a king bed in the master suite and a queen bed in the other room) and there was a pullout sofa bed in the living room. There were three bathrooms. The kitchen was very well equipped; the only appliance that I missed was a blender. The view from this townhouse was of other townhouses and trees. Also visible were the garbage and recycling bins, which were metal with secured lids, this being bear country. Be aware that the townhouse is two flights of stairs away from the two assigned parking spaces and is on two floors. Thus, it is not handicap accessible. This very scenic area has many recreational facilities, notably, three golf courses within 5 minutes drive, all associated with the Fairmont Hot Springs Resort. Because of COVID-19, the hot springs were off limits to guests at the Residences. I booked this accommodation through RCI at a very reasonable cost and would definitely return.

Our unit was perfect for a relaxing stay in the Columbia Valley. The complex is well maintained and was very quiet. the unit we rented was well appointed and very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and made it very easy for us to enjoy meals with our family. The Residences are an excellent place to relax and enjoy the Columbia Valley.

This condo was perfect. It had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The 5 teenagers had plenty of space to hang out, and they quickly made it their home. Us parents too had our own private space and we would come together for meals with the kids in the kitchen area. The view was so refreshing from this unit and we could hear the sound of the creek when we stepped outside any of the 4 patio areas. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the dishes, pots and pans that we needed. We brought our own crock pot and fully utilized the kitchen while we were there. There were plenty of rooms, TVs, and space for all 7 of us. Check in was very easy as the code to get in was emailed to us a few days before our arrival. All we had to do was find the condo and put in the code. We felt very spoiled to be there. All 7 of us had an amazing time.

We just love coming out to the Columbia valley. It feels like our home away from home. Everything you need is in the unit, they could use a few more serving dishes, but that is minor. The location and size of the unit is perfect, breathtaking views from the living room window, and entertaining sites on the 17th green of the Mountain side golf course. On the one rainy evening it was great to have a game of pool in the basement. We had a wonderful time and will be back.

Well the unit we booked was supposed to be at a GOLD CROWN resort by RCI standard. We had a two bedroom unit that was like a low end trailer park! The master bathroom had a stand up shower, toilet and small sink, way below a Gold Crown standard. The MB Bedroom left lots to be desired, no matching furniture and the hangars in the place looked like from a drycleaner, metal bent and terrible. The Stove was older style and worked well. The fridge, similar style, was the same but noisy. The dishwasher was a hazard as the springs were broken and hurt the legs whenever it came down. The BBQ was outside and worked off propane, I spent an hour cleaning it the second day before making our dinner! I had to clean the floors when we got there as Mice droppings were around! We were told that we had to pay for cleaning service at the end of our stay as well. This was supposedly to be refunded.
The location of the resort was approximately in the middle of the powder highway in South-Eastern BC between Kimberley, Kicking Horse and Fernie, about two hours by car away from these alpine ski resorts, and that was why we selected the property.

The weather cooperated that weekend and we’re able to enjoy the beautiful nature surrounding Fairmont Hot Springs. We rented six units and each group was thoroughly satisfied with the cleanliness and overall size of each bedrooms. The only thing that we have an issue is in regards to the amount you charge for cleaning…..otherwise everything else was very satisfactory.

The is is such a great resort. Lots to see and do in the area. All my friends that came with me were really impressed with the resort how spacious it was for all of us and how well equipped the kitchen was with all the dishes and kitchen accessories. we do an annual trip together every year they said this is a place to come back to enjoy again.

We've driven to Fairmont Hot Springs twice in a row. Once in January 2017 then in February 2018.
We experienced a blizzard with poor visibility in 2017. It is no fun BUT we had a reliable vehicle (4x4 truck), travelled w/ a tank full of gas, packed snacks, movies and music to keep passengers entertained especially the little ones, left town early so we are able to take our time and drive according to weather conditions i.e. we were not rushing. Don't be surprised to see snow plows along the road. Orange & Red, SnowPlow Ahead!!!
FYI, me and my husband grew up from the tropical island of the Philippines so we are definitely not even remotely used to winter driving at all. It can be a scary thought but it is not as dangerous as you think as long as you drive with caution. But blizzard aside, our other drive was on a clear, slightly snowy day and the view is absolutely gorgeous.
Fairmont Ridge is a smaller ski hill right above the Fairmont Hot Springs pools which is right above the Marble Canyon Residences. The ski hill is the perfect place to learn to ski and our kids spent many days enjoying the hill when they were learning. There is one ski lift, a rope tow and a mat for beginners to move them up the hill. They do have an excellent ski school as well. A great way to spend a day for beginners and an easy day of skiing for more experienced riders.
@Getaway753762 701 Phase 2 is a 4 bedroom townhome and is currently our only pet friendly unit available for rental (it is not available through the RCI exchange program). We will also have a new 2 bedroom unit in Marble Canyon pet friendly available for booking soon, keep an eye on our website, facebook & instagram for details. We do have other properties available that welcome pets - they can be viewed on our website. Thanks for the question!
Hello bmetzner,
November-December can be quite varied. November can see some rain or snow showers with temperatures between -5C low and +5C. December can be typically be between -9C low and 0C. We tend to have a fairy dry climate with lots of sunshine. Activities available are hot springs, hiking, wildlife watching, skiing (Panorama for big mountain skiing is 30 minutes away and opens around the first week in December, Fairmont Ski Hill for family skiing opens just before Christmas). The worlds longest ice trail for skating, xc skiing usually opens around Christmas weather depending.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.
I think it depends on the unit you rent. We did have 2 dogs with us when we stayed at Marble Canyon. I would contact the resort.
