Compared to other reviews we had no issues at all and would visit again.

Two of us both arrived together in our RV's at 4.30pm for 1 night on our way through from Vancouver cos the premier wanted no one travelling!!

We got two sites next to each other, one was full service, ours was not (what we wanted). Short walk to trails and Hope.

Site, washrooms and showers were clean.

Free wifi at the office is normal for us, and again not unusual to charge for showers.

Campsite fees normal for private campground.

We would visit again if we are passing through.

We only stayed the one night on our way to Vancouver Island. Easy to find CG, friendly staff and nice CG with lots of trees and nice walks in the CG and in surrounding area.
Our site was a little small but for our purposes absolutely fine.It was very busy but not noisy, and we slept really well as it was so quiet.
We loved the walk along the river, and river access fo our dog although it was July and it may be at other times of the year the river may have been deeper/faster.
We will use again on our travels.

We just stayed overnight but was delighted by the big treed site we had. We had very friendly neighbours that helped make our stay even more enjoyable. The site was full services, water was excellent to drink. There was a fire ban in effect so we did not use the fire pit.

The campsite is in the middle of town, and while it does have nice big trees for hammocking, and some forested areas, it is definitely not like being in true nature. It looked like the riverfront campsites were much nicer. We just needed a place to crash as we drove through on a roadtrip, but would have been VERY disappointed if this was our destination. We would have left. It was also very loud: people partying until all hours of the night & playing music (and no one telling them it was quiet hours), loud trains, traffic driving by (it's right off the road). We hardly slept. The county fair was happening right across the road, which seemed to contribute to a lot of the noise and partying. Looked like it was mostly people with huge RVs and big families. This was not my idea of camping and would not recommend.

We stayed because it was convenient to see the area, but there was too much highway noise to sleep. A bathroom/shower house had been removed from last year, so it was a long walk to the other bathrooms. Half of them were broken and locked up and none smelled clean.
Staff were not friendly either. So we will definitely not be staying here again.

Hi Peter, Sorry to hear about your unpleasant stay with us. The washroom facilities are cleaned 3 times daily with multiple checks on top of that. Unfortunately, the other washroom facility was the previous operators and as such was removed. Hope you can try us again some day. There are plenty of sites that don't back along the roadway.

Our first campground in British Columbia. Nice situation by the river with trails nearby. We had a nice site surrounded by trees with full hookup, fire pit and picnic table. The camp shop sold wood for the fire. Toilets clean, we didn't use the shower as you had to pay to use, our only campsite so far that you've had to.

One of our favourite campgrounds! Super friendly staff. Especially Chris and Craig that go out of their way to help! Washrooms are almost always clean and the river is awesome for cooling down. We went many weekends this summer and were never disappointed!

Not a bad campground! Nice and close to town, but still away from town. Lots of walking trails.
Some of the PROS'
- very clean
- reasonable price
- friendly greeting upon arrival
- sites nice and flat and clean, and spacious

CON'S
- noisy especially the sites close to the main road
- trains but got used to them
- sites not very private, back to back
- picnic tables all different sizes, hard to sit for short people, some sites had movable tables.
- sewer hookups in awkward places.
- back in to sites so you can hookup, which meant picnic table on wrong side of unit.

We stayed a week and enjoyed ourselves, the weather was great! Would recommend.

we had our special need daughter with us and even she had a great time. everyone was great to us. no complaints. we were camped beside the washroom/ shower house , the only issue was the light but we just put an extra sunshade in the windows. and as it being April that wasn't a issue. however if you were camping in the middle of the summer it could get really hot in your RV or travel trailer. loved the campground and will be back.
lots of trees and shade.

The best place to camp with full hookups. Chris and Greg are super friendly and helpful hosts! They made us feel so welcome! Was our first time there and we will be back next camping season! I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to camp in the area!
