We stayed at the Airport in with a large group. I will sy that the service was great and Bernie worked hard to make it a pleasant stay. I did find that the entire hotel was very cold, and we weren't able to get our rooms very warm. That said, I found Port Hardy was cold everywhere and no one seemed to have heat! Amenities are not the same in every room, but it was good to have a fridge. Wires from air con unit running directly through the room and outdoors was a little sketchy. Overall we had a good stay and found that Bernie tired hard to make up for anything that was lacking. The hotel is dated and beds and decor is old, but the price was right and we had a decent stay, decent sleep. That said NO WIFI in room that we stayed, seemed to be a dead spot, and this was frustrating as we also had no phone cell service either.

Just got back from a trip to Haida Gwaii and stayed at the Airport Inn Port Hardy going and coming back. It is a great place to stay, great service and they go above and beyond to help you.
We arrived from the Prince Rupert ferry at 2am (ferry was 2 hours late) and Bernie stayed for our check in. He is so helpfull with anything you might need. Also a great Indian restaurant there as well. Sooooo Good!!
If you are staying there make sure you take the ocean trail to the beach, it is a beautiful spot. Thanks Bernie and staff. We really enjoyed our stay.

Arrived late off the ferry from Prince Rupert. The gentleman on the desk was very pleasant and welcoming. Although a little dated it was clean and comfortable. Coffee machine in room. Bathroom well supplied and clean. Breakfast was limited buffet style. Would stay again.

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed at the Airport Inn the night before our very early departure on the ferry to Prince Rupert. The two gentlemen working the front desk were very friendly and welcoming. Because we were leaving before the continental breakfast started they told us to make sure we come down that evening and grab some muffins and juices for our trip. We did go down and check it out however there wasn't much to choose from (maybe some others had already come down and picked through). I recommend stopping at a store and grabbing some fruit and muffins instead of relying on the breakfast offered here. Everything about the room was super clean, the coffee was good, there's a little fridge to keep your water cool. There was a lot of noise in the night. I expected some noise when they had midnight check ins from the incoming ferry passengers but there was also a couple groups of people that were maybe going fishing or camping I'm not sure, but they were very loud throughout the night. I knew I would be sleeping on the ferry so I didn't make a fuss. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We chose the Airport Inn because the movers who helped my son move to Port Hardy said that the place was great. So we booked in Oct of 2022 and stayed 10 days. This hotel is way better and nicer that you might think. They deserve a much higher rating. The rooms have new linens, comfotable beds, brand new good size fridge with a freezer, new microwave, coffee makers. The staff is helpful and friendly. This is for sure a great place to stay. Good size room with 2 comfy queen size beds. Big new TV, good size fridge and WIFI in the room. Level entrance which was very important to us. We stayed 4 nights.
Bernie, the manager is super friendly and helpful.
We enjoyed our stay tremendously and highly recommend Airport Inn, as it is in a good location to take in the beautiful nature of the surrounding area.
Definitely will stay again if ever we return to Port Hardy.

Hotel rated a 2 star but I’ve stayed at 3 star that are not near as nice! It was very very clean (my top priority), comfy beds, big tv, fridge with a freezer, microwave, parking out the door, free good breakfast in nice, clean dining room and Bernie the manager is extremely friendly and helpful. We arrived 11 am even though check in is in afternoon and he kindly accommodated us. The rooms were so quiet and the shower pressure was strong and hot! Washer and dryer on premises as well as a liquor store. It is only a 5 minute drive into town. The only one (slight) negative would be the faint smell from cigarette smoke (non-smoking rooms but smoke would come in) however all the positives far out way this one comment. It was good value compared to the other hotels in the area - highly recommended!

Friendly casual atmosphere. Clean, bright, comfortable room. The room had a microwave and stove top with fridge with a ully stocked kitchen. Excellent food at the restaurant. Only a short drive to Port Hardy. Good value all around. Best place we've stayed at for a while. Highly recommended

The staff were friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was great. The rooms were clean. A large tv in the room and a large fridge was nice. The Inn was right by a trail that took us down to the beach. The Inn is five minutes from Port Hardy and close to the airport. I would stay here again

The Airport Inn has a retro feel. This is not the Sheraton or like any big chain hotel. Nevertheless, we arrived their after midnight to a friendly reception. It was a quiet and clean room with a comfortable bed. Their was a HUGE mini-fridge in the room which my cousin informed me was probably for fish (salmon are plentiful there) and beer! The Airport Inn is not downtown Port Hardy, but is for travelers who want to be close to the aiport or car rental places the next morning. By the way, I don't think there was food on the premises, but the airport has a place where there seemed to be a good breakfast. The best thing about the Airport Inn is the service! The owner dropped us off at the airport for free and was extremely friendly. The staff was friendly, and when I left my phone charger there and called them about it, They promptly put it in the express post and I received it a few days later. That was really nice, and kind of unexpected!! The lesson for this cynical traveler who has been in many places, big and small, is that a place like Port Hardy, and the staff at the Airport Inn were small-town friendly and honest in the best way possible.
