This might just be the worst accommodation EVER! Before I list the many negatives I would just like to say staff were kind, friendly and approachable and the beds were very comfortable! We were welcomed by group of smokers outside the building. The lobby and hallways are extremely seedy and smelled awful like smoke and someone cooking bones and tripe. Not to mention how hot it was inside it felt like the middle of summer. We found a collection of items around the appartement, a vape under the pull out lounge, a mouse poo under the pillow and when we went to hop in bed we were greeted with a collection of hairs under the doona, nail scissors on the floor and worst of all A BRA BEHIND THE TV! it was a shocking experience finding all of these bits and bobs. Cooking dinner was a hassle too! All there was to cook with was a HUGE pot (not sure what they expected us to make in it, with not a single one of the hot plates working) We were forced to cook pasta in the microwave (pretty miserable.) and there was nothing to wash up with, no cloth, detergent or tea towel. Not even a plug for the sink! The balcony was extremely sketchy with the whole floor being water logged and swelled and the door out to the balcony didn’t lock! Being on the first floor in a dodgy neighbour hood with a door out to the public unlocked didn’t contribute to the already unsafe feeling environment. The furniture was all broken and marked with scratches and they were all extremely run down. The lights didn’t always work and the apartment was dark and depressing. They obviously don’t put much money back in to the hotel to make it a nicer place. Especially with it being almost $200 dollars a night save yourself and spend a bit more money and stay somewhere else. Forgot to mention pretty much everything advertised on their website, free shuttle, vending machine, self serve laundry, express check out/in, pets allowed (only allowed with a $40 fee) don’t exist!!!

My concern is a personal issue. Digital transactions have been debited on my credit card. I tried to reach the management by calling on +15145763370 but no success. I have sent a letter to info@hoteldorval.com to explain the circumstances I'm waiting for the response to see if they can refund my amount. I don't know if they are the correct contacts

it is an old apartment building that has been given a shallow face-lift and converted into rentable rooms which are larger than usual hotel rooms but you give up a most of the hotel amenities with it. First, of it is located in a residential neighborhoods, where nothing is close by except other apartment buildings. Though they offer a nice service of free pick-up and drop-off from the airport. In exchange you have to hear aircrafts taking off and landing all day and all night. There is no sound insulation.

We are sorry that you have not enjoyed your experience at our hotel. We do try accomodate everyone. It is true as shown in our photos that we are a converted apartment building into hotel apartments. We try to offer a great service and are constantly upgrading our property. Our price is always very competitive and big on value. We have a shopping district walking distance from our hotel as well as, like you mentioned, a free shuttle service to and from the airport. I travel quite often, therefore I have been to many hotels and hostels. I was looking forward to staying in an apartment with my friends. But, his is the worse place I have stayed in so far; as soon as you enter the building you can feel the energy and the smells. we checked in and decided to go to our apartment. This place was a mess, the washroom looked like it hasn’t been clean in months, no hot wanter, spiders by the window. The smell of cigarettes and weed was so strong, it seemed like someone was there few minutes before our arrival. their description it says that they follow covid protocols to keep everyone safe etc. But if they didn’t clean the washroom, I doubt the fact that they sanitized the place. We were supposed to stay there for 4 nights, but we couldn’t sleep the first night and we decided to check out. Leaving was the Best decision we could have made, I’m not kidding this place is horrible!!! Looks like a hookup place

Arrived to find hair all throughout our bed and sheets, no one was at the front desk for up to 30 minutes to get new sheets. Pull out bed had food crumbs throughout and spiders and insects are found everywhere. Do no stay here, pay the little extra to go somewhere where you won’t feel like you need to have 5 showers with the luke warm water.

I left. My deck door had no lock. The window frames were filthy. The heat is controlled by the receptionist in her office with one switch and temp setting for the whole building, and it was hot and smelly. I encountered three falling-down drunk people in 15 minutes in the hallways and foyer. No elevator. Peeling paint in all my kitchen cabinets.Dishes put away and washed. Dark, dim and the dirtiest light switches I have ever seen. It was horrific, in need of repair and thoroughly sketchy. I looked at two other rooms. Both had locking deck doors, but both had similar issues with extreme wear, damage exceptionally dirty conditions

Greeted by crowds of smokers outside. The place reeks of weed. The inside smells of smoke, weed, musty. Given a room in the basement. Website photos are definitely misleading. Many broken odds and ends in the apartment, dirt and filth in all the nooks and crannies, walls are filthy. We kept our shoes on and didn’t touch any furniture. Don’t make the same mistake we did. Spend the extra hundred bucks for somewhere decent.

Completely different than photo while booking… Its a disaster calling it a 3 star hotel. Floors, curtains, spidersssss 🕷 on the wall… just above my bed 😖 never seen a hotel like this. Stay away from here.

Got this when I did a Hotwire purchase... I usually stick with 4 stars or more, but availability was limited and I settled for 3 stars and got this place. It is a converted apartment complex which seems clean on first view, but the rooms were tired and... There were bed bugs. Needless to say, I didn't stay... Chalk it up to experience! Oh... And there's almost no parking.

Dear Sir, We are truly sorry that you were disappointed with us. We have renovated 80 percent of our units recently giving a large renovated apartment for the price of a hotel room. To say you experienced bed bugs when you admit you did not stay causes me to question their existence in our property. We pride ourselves on providing a large clean apartment, minutes from the airport with a free shuttle, wifi and all that you should expect from us as a hotel. We reserved our room through laterooms.com for 2 bedrooms. We received the confirmation and the total that included all the taxes. To our surprise, when we got there, they only reserved 1 room for us and the price changed and taxes were also added on top of it. We showed him our reservation, and he stated he can't help us and we should talk to the management in the morning. We had to squeeze 7 people into 1 bedroom apartment. The next morning, we were given another room with 2 bedrooms but we received no apology, nor a refund for the extra taxes. Both rooms we stayed in had tens of spiders and it was overall dirty. The only decent thing about this place was its breakfast which was acceptable. Maybe we just had that one in a thousand bad experience, but we'll never consider this place again.

Regarding the issue of the invoicing usually our rates are always with out taxes, in this case it was an issue with the agent which you made your reservation. Yes, my old reservation notice confirms that check-in was 15:00 and checkout was 11:00 because it's in Quebec and they like to use 24 hour time. Enjoy the peace and quiet.

I'm sorry. We do not supply breakfast. Each unit comes with a fully equipped kitchen and restaurants that are open from breakfast till supper are minutes walk from us. We have a great shuttle to and from the airport 24/7. Supermarkets as well as a full indoor shopping mall are minutes walk from us as well. I hope you choose to stay with us.
