This place is very run down. Looks like a motel from a scary movie on the outside. But rooms are decent. Owner was very nice. Price was cheap 50$ for the room for the night. We survived lol this place could use a little work. But still you get what you pay for.

This establishment should be shut down this place is beyond a dive .. From the floor to the ceiling absolutly disgusting to be able to rent out to the public walls had stains on it as well as carpet mold in the showers ive seen cleaner people that are homeless. Absolutly ridiculous

Horrible room. Washroom is filthy ghastly. There is a stench in the room. Difficult to breath. Do not go to this place. Stay somewhere else anywhere but here. Are there any laws to regulate them?... I will complain to regulating body.

Do not expect to find a 5-star hotel, because you are not paying for that. Excellent friendly owners, good value for money. The staff is friendly and will help you if you ask them. There are drinks available with the owners if you want them.

After pulling into the "Traveler Inn," the first thing we were greeted with was a warm and welcoming "Come in, we're open!" sign on the front door. A great start!
Unfortunately, the door was locked and we had to ring the bell to get some service. We apologized profusely to the lady that eventually arrived because we'd selfishly distracted her from almost taking a shower.
Upon being assigned our room (Number 9) we were struck by a sight almost as hard as whatever had struck and broken the door in the past. There was fortunately a piece of plywood nailed back into place, covering the destruction and providing us security so as not to worry us too much.
Our first duty after a long drive to get here was a quick stop in our bathroom. The door to the bathroom wouldn't close properly, but not a big deal, I liked the social aspect of chatting with my husband in the bedroom area while I was sitting on the toilet.
Unfortunately (for us), the cleaning staff must have been away over the Christmas period as were greeted by an inch high pile of dust/hair behind the bathroom door. At least the dirt in the room was mostly contained in one area. Fortunately, we didn't need a shower because there was no shower curtain and we would have had to fight for the one towel in the whole suite anyway.
After we'd finished in the bathroom and settled into the main bed area we were greeted by some great artwork on the walls. It appeared to be some kind of interactive art installation where previous guests were encouraged to draw straight onto the wall. We were delighted to see the boat that was drawn on the wall, even though we were a little confused as to the context. These 'community drawings' did seem to clash a little with the rest of the framed artwork in the room though.
The Inn is clearly environmentally minded as the room was kept cold and the fridge in the room wasn't plugged in. I appreciate their efforts in doing their part for our grandchildren.
The room was a little chilly, mostly because of the concrete floors. There were some nice rugs in some areas to help cushion this but it was a little cold. It was nice to turn on the heater and be greeted by warmth, even if the fan on the heater was broken. It did help to keep that one area of the room warm though.
Had we wanted a stiff drink at that point, the Inn had the foresight to discourage my bad habit by not providing any glasses. Perhaps this was also an effort to only provide the cleanest of clean glasses upon request. As it was late (and the owner was probably mid-shower at this point) we chose not to bother her any further.
Settling into bed for the night, I found it romantic that we were encouraged to keep each other warm in the night by only providing a thin 'blanket.' We also understood the meaning behind them providing one wafer thin pillow each and proceeded to stack the two pillows into one medium sized pillow and snuggled all night. The hole in the ceiling above the bed gave us an interesting focal point to help us drift off to sleep.
We were both very happy indeed that we woke up alive in the morning and were motivated to quickly continue on our trip.
Thank you so much for a very memorable trip and a story we'll be telling our friends and family for years to come.
