The hotel was a great 3 star property. The hotel is located in a great spot with Safeway behind the property and many restaurants and the city center within walking distance. The train tracks run directly behind the property which sort of disturbs the sleep a bit. There were a lot of dust balls in the corners and along the baseboards in the room other than that the room seemed clean enough. The bottom of the mattress stuck out when the bed was unmade and the mattress was stained up on the sides. I never pulled the sheets back to see what the top of the mattress looked like. The pool and hottub were ok, there seemed to be alot of chlorine or bleach in the water as many people in the pool area complained about burning eyes and there was alot of coughing going on. The floors in the pool area were not very clean, lots of hair balls in clumps. There seemed to be enough pool towels for anyone that needed them, if not there was a phone in the pool area so that a call could be made to get more. There was a nice large sitting area on the 3rd floor in the area that connects the two buildings. This was a great place for groups to get together

They advertised free breakfast-and a more than a month after COVID restrictions lifted-still did not offer breakfast after all with no reduction in price. Hate it when people advertise a service and then don't provide it. If I had known there was no free breakfast would have picked a different place as this is one of my key factors when picking rooms

We spent 6 nights at this hotel. We had originally booked 5 nights but decided a couple days ahead to arrive a day earlier front desk was very accommodating fitting us in an extra day however our room category King Spa Room with hide-a-bed sofa was not available the first night so we got a railway side room. I barely slept a wink constant trains ripping past hotel it was like a nightmare to me. (Railway side does have nice views of mountains as well ) My husband and kids slept through it but I sure didn’t so just beware if you are a light sleeper I’m not usually but sure was that night. So be sure request and book the rooms not on the railway side if this could be an issue for you. Luckily our room was ready the next morning so we were able to move right in before heading out for the day. What a difference such a nice room on the street side so you can’t hear the trains at all. The king spa has a big spa soaker tub which was so great after the long days of hiking. Microwave & mini fridge. We were able to get a toaster in our room for our stay so that was also nice. Normally this hotel offers free breakfast but it was not available during our stay due to covid restrictions. Parking is free and full to the brim at night during summer months especially weekends . We always managed to find a spot every night if that’s a concern just come back earlier. Pool was only allowed minimal amount of people when we visited to to covid rules so we didn’t get to use it but looked great and had a water slide and hot tub.
Spice hut restaurant shares same parking area so that a great restaurant if you don’t want to go far. Bike rentals close by , not far down the block. I would recommend this hotel & would stay again .

Arrived into Canmore late on a Friday night and stayed until Sunday. Two of us stayed in an economy room with 2 double beds, had a view of the "road" but was pleasantly surprised when I woke up to open blinds on Saturday morning to a clear sky and a bit of mountain.
Check in was really easy, check out was even easier. We wanted to stay on Sunday after check in to use the pool and it was no issue; the front desk staff issued me new keys so we could have access for the day and towels were supplied in the pool area. Room was clean with lots of towels and a mini fridge, hotel staff were lovely. I didn't use the gym; though I took a peak and it was small but tidy.
If I want to be picky, the one downside was the shower - there were no shelves in the shower which made showering without getting my hair wet nearly impossible.
No real complaints for the price range on this hotel.

Location is great except for the train tracks being just a few feet from the property so sleep gets interrupted every 20 minutes or so. Staff is friendly and courteous. Other than that my experience with my family for the week of New Years eve and New Years day was horrible. Our room was only cleaned twice and one day we didn't even get fresh towels. The chairs were dirty and stained when we checked in and the whole place just needs a facelift really. Other than that the room is probably good for two but not for a family of four. The bathroom in a cruise ship is bigger and the WORST of everything was having kids running outside the hallways every single night. On New Years day after midnight (12:27 pm) one of those kids pulled the fire alarm. My daughter who suffers from panic attacks almost died (I'm sure this same complain is all over the internet) the fire dept didn't even showed up and I believe that's management fault because there's no security around to check on the guests and make sure the place is quiet and comfortable for the guests.

Dear Jairo S, Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience with us. I would first like to sincerely apologize about the stay over service that you did not receive. We have excellent housekeeping staff that strive very hard to ensure that service is provided throughout your stay. There is a possibility that a “do not disturb” sign was on the door which is when housekeeping does not tend to the room. For this reason our front desk is always available to help bring anything that you need. In any matter I have made sure that this information is passed along to our Housekeeping Manager. The chair in the attached photo is now discarded. I am sorry about the stain but we thank you for bringing it to our attention as we are currently in the process of replacing our older furniture. In regards to the fire alarm on New Year’s Eve, it was unfortunately foul play on behalf of one of our guests who pulled the alarm near the main lobby. Our staff were quick to assess the situation as our system shows us exactly where an alarm is pulled and if there is nothing wrong we are able to silence the alarm quickly. This is why the fire department did not show up. I also understand that there are guests and children making noise as it was quite an exciting time for everyone during the holidays, however we do have security staff patrolling the building. I would hope that it can be understandable that around New Year’s things can be a little hectic as people are celebrating. I am sorry that you did not enjoy your stay however we would love to have the opportunity to welcome you back. I read the reviews and the responses from Dominic. The answers he gives are just spewed out with no thought at all to changing things. When i booked i was given a price only to find out if I book on a Saturday for 4 nights the weekend price applies to the weekdays as well even though the prices Monday and Tuesday are less. In any case I sent 3 emails to Dominic Operations manager with no reply.
When we arrives the room was dirty. Not very reassuring in Covid times to see the are not cleaning properly. We complained at the front desk and were given a vacuum cleaner and spray bottle and rags to clean it ourselves. The desk manager said he we have the operations manager contact us. He never did. I wrote three more emails to Dominic and did not get a reply. It would seem that they have no desire to meet the standards required to make the hotel safe. We paid top dollar for a third class room. No pool no breakfast nothing. No housekeeping and the only good thing was the guy that was at the desk when we checked out tired to accommodate us but had no power to adjust the price to reflect the problems.
I suspect that Dominic will apply a standard reply that is meaningless

We wanted a clean and comfortable place to stay for 3 nights while hiking in the mountains. Last time we were here we thought that the Canmore Inn looked nice on the outside so we thought we would give it a try. Unfortunately once inside it didn't quite live up to our expectations.

The room was adequate because it was reasonably clean and the bed was comfortable, and everything in the room was working. (There was something like cat food left under the bed from a previous guest however)

Our biggest disappointments came from the service, or lack thereof. The hotel was not offering "stay over service", so staff didn't enter our room during our stay. Perhaps this was because of Covid, but this is the first time I've encountered this. They told us to call the front desk if we needed anything, but when we did ask for fresh towels they never arrived. We caught the housekeeping staff in the halls in the morning and they gave us a couple towels, but didn't have many available. We never bothered asking for little things like cups or more coffee, and ran out of toilet paper just before we left. By the time we left we had garbage bags piling up in the closet, but couldn't find where to dispose of them. The ice machine nearest our room wasn't working and the vending machine was empty, but we found one downstairs. We were also disappointed that breakfast wasn't being offered, although other hotels have resumed serving breakfast now that pandemic restrictions are lifting.

During the past year we've become accustomed to higher standards of cleanliness in public areas. It was a but surprising to see that the doors entering the hotel looked dirty, and I didn't observe staff cleaning high touch areas while we were there.

The decor was a bit strange, with a wall dividing the room in half between the beds making it a bit crowded. There was also a couple of scraps of unfinished wood fastened to the wall. A few other little things that just didn't help: there were two televisions, but both quite small, and the window had a nice view of the mountains, but it was also very small. There were a few other little signs of a lack of care and attention to detail such as peeling wallpaper, and the exact same photo print hanging on two walls in the room. These are nothing serious, but just contribute to my overall rating of just "average" and the fact that I would probably go back to the hotel we stayed at last year if back in Canmore.

This was a great hotel. I had a beautiful King room that had a love seat which was great for curling up on when rain ruined my morning hiking plans. It's conveniently located right off the highway, near basically, well, everything. The front desk staff were friendly, I loved having a kitchen sink right in the room, and the coffee in the room was surprisingly drinkable!

All staff were super friendly and make you feel welcomed. Rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. Covid protocols left us feeling super safe, it was very clean and if you need anything you can just call front desk and somebody appears like magic literally 60 seconds later! Walking distance to downtown. I would definitely recommend this place.

Pool was freezing cold, hot tub was luke warm. Masks and towels were left all over the pool area. Hair in hot tub was gross, masks and bandaids in pool was disgusting. Pool setting needed a good maintenance and clean everyday through the day which was highly lacking. Both pool and hot tub were too small for amount of people staying. You hear the train on and off all night long hard to sleep. Hard to find parking when hotel is full. They were always short on towels for the pool and rooms. With room not being cleaned everyday be nice to have extra water, soap, towels, garbage bags if they know your staying more than one night. Heated floor in bathroom was way too hot. Room needed a vacuum and clean under beds. Pillows and beds were uncomfortable. Room was way too hot slept with window open -25 plus temperatures. Had the temperature on high cool and cold setting. Other guests staying were loud and rude was hard to sleep in. No breakfast was included, price was high with that being excluded. Would not recommended nor stay again.

Our hotel in the past has only offered a breakfast buffet at an additional cost. Since our restaurant operations closed, we unfortunately do not have the facility or staff to provide any food. We found that as our property is located within walking distance to several restaurants, the majority of our guests are happy to find a suitable alternative close by. We sincerely apologize if this was an inconvenience, but we are looking into getting our facility running again soon. As for the trains, we are deeply sorry that you were not made aware about the railway line.
