All staff was extremely courteous and helpful. They unhesitatingly offered us a late checkout and to store our bags until we departed for the airport. Location is excellent for accessing other parts of the city and is near many restaurants. Special recognition for Anna at the front desk.

Traveling with kids is hard enough at times. Staying in a hotel where you can connect your laptop via hdmi so we can watch our own Netflix, etc is important. Most hotels nowadays block there hdmi ports on ther TVs ?? I get it if you offer over priced movie options bite it’s just generic tv ??

I had to book two nights at this Holiday Inn due to a medical procedure at nearby Vancouver General Hospital. When I called to reserve my room, I was automatically transferred to a "partnered booking agent" who took care of me. I felt $200 a night was a bit steep, even after I requested a medical discount, but went with it anyway. When I checked in early, I found myself on the 15th floor with a stunning view! The room was amazing. I slept well, and ended up going back for a third night when my surgery was postponed. Monica, at the front desk, was incredible. I received a generous discount and an upgrade and my room was across the hall from where I had spent the previous two nights. I'll stay here again, you bet!

Currently staying here for 6 weeks on business. I have never stayed somewhere with so few amenities and so little regard to try and make our stay more comfortable. I would stay elsewhere, but am obliged to stay as temporary employer would cover nonwhere else.
I am not sure what the going rate is here - but can assure you - anywhere else would be better.
For 2 people staying 6 weeks in same room, it did not seem unreasonable to request a microwave when one became available. I was told there were no rooms with microwaves, yet half my travelling colleagues have them in their identical rooms. If we would like something reheated during our 6 weeks, we are to wait for lobby staff to become available and they will reheat out back. Not ideal at all.
Rooms are tired and outdated. Lighting so poor, I went out to buy an additional lamp as most requests not met anyway.
Little extras. Not even an extra blanket, or side table for double occupancy. Despite reservation being in my name and paying the damage deposit hold myself - I was not able to collect IGH points.
Food in restaurant is bland and overpriced.
Front desk staff do the absolute minimum required.
PROS: Service staff in restaurant all excellent. Gym is small but well equipped and clean. Pool seems clean. Beds are comfortable and clean (firm with a nice pillow top). Close to hospital, drug store, whole foods and plenty of restaurants.
Still have another 5 weeks here. I hope our experience improves, but the level of "give a crap" here certainly suggests otherwise.

I am sorry to hear you are not happy that we are unable to provide a microwave for you during your stay. Please kindly note that microwave is not a standard amenity that our hotel offer. We do have some microwaves available; however, it is on first come first serve basis. Unfortunately, it is not possible to provide a microwave to every guest that requests since we currently have many long term stay guests or with special medical condition. As for IHG One Rewards Club points, the policy from them is the guest must be staying and paying under qualifying rate. As in your case, as stated, room is coved by company, reservation is not eligible for points. If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact IHG One Rewards Club for details. It is an older hotel in dire need of updates, including working sockets. The shower had decent water pressure, wifi was spotty. Pillows and bed were comfortable, a/c was ok but noisy. Nothing to see at this location but easy enough to get an Uber into downtown Van.
We had the buffet breakfast which was not a huge selection but fruit was tasty, eggs and bacon and porridge were all enjoyed. They did not keep the scrambled eggs full though and I had some last bits of it. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

We've stayed at other Holiday Inn hotels over the years and expected the same standard of accommodation. This hotel does not meet those expectations.
The whole building appears to be in desperate need of updating. It is extremely old fashioned, dark and depressing. There is no room service, the decor throughout is in shades of mud or moss, the ancient ac unit was noisy and inefficient. Our room had one small window that opened - no more than 6 ins - so we had very little fresh air.
There were few of the hotel services that one might expect.
On the plus side, the room had a fridge, an ironing board and iron, and a hairdryer.
One of the first things we found was a laminated card with a warning on it, suggesting the hotel has significant security issues (see photo).
Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, we had to stay longer than intended, which made life quite difficult. We did receive limited help, however calls to the front desk yielded responses that varied enormously - sometimes good, often mystifying or just unhelpful.
The dining area was tired and dark. Breakfast was basic and old fashioned in its presentation. Restaurant staff seemed friendly and did their best to assist as far as they could.
If your stay here is for one or two nights, the hotel is likely to be tolerable.
If you are stuck there any longer, for any reason, brace yourself for a dismal experience.

Stay here was absolutely amazing. The location in downtown Vancouver made walking to all the tourist spots really easy. The staff were very friendly, we received an early check in without even asking when we came to drop off our bags. Pool and gym were very clean and covid protocols were very good. Would come back again!

The wedding rate my brother got from this Holiday Inn was $246.99 a night. We were not charged that. Parking was reasonable at $23 a day but my parents are wondering why we were charged over the wedding rate my brother and sister in law were told. We would like an explanation on why we were quoted 3 1 night rates that were higher than the $246.99 they were told.
1st night was $302 plus parking and a hotel tax charge. Our total was $1,034.99 for 3 nights. There was 3 1 night charges . The 2nd and 3rd night were lower than the 1st. It was 294 and 285. The 1st night including hotel tax and parking was around $350. We want an explanation why we were charged higher rates on all 3 nights. Front desk staff says it was a long weekend wedding rate.
We were there from May 20-23 to attend a family wedding. My parents did like the room that we got (713) and the pool/fitness center on the 5th floor.
Because of being overcharged we will not return and stay with my brother and sister in law at their apartment.

Booked by agent and thought it was the Downtown location so disappointed on that front, pre-booked taxi took us to Downtown!
Carpets in hallways and room not clean, otherwise OK.
If you don't like to walk cost of taxi's to Downtown would cover part of the cost of accommodation to the Holiday Inn Downtown and more options to feel part of the city

The room was immaculate and very nicely furnished, Nice bathroom with loads of towels and toiletries, hairdryer, slippers. I was on the 15th floor facing False Creek - truly gorgeous view day and night! Wonderful check in and housekeeping staff. Parking was affordable at $23 a day so didn't have to worry about my car. Had to work in my room as well and the desk is great - really spacious and with lots of plug ins. Totally satisfied and would definitely stay here again.
