"Empty spaces, what are we living for?
Abandoned places, I guess we know the score"

Dead, dead, absolutely dead place 300 days a year. Nobody there. You can find more people on cemetery in the middle of the night than here.

Local management does close to nothing to attract more people and make this area little bit more populated (in the winter they do skating rink - attract from 3 to 5 people per season).

Summer time is way much better!!! More people but the problem with seats in restaurants - everything is booked out for days ahead. Overnight stay at marina is crazy expensive $5 per linear foot + resort taxes. Gas is 20-30% more expensive than in Barrie.
Restaurants offer descent food for the price of 5 stars MICHELIN Restaurants.

One sushi place in entire resort is closed for good! No business at all.
Ice cream business is currently for sale too.

Gravel parking is horrible. It creates clouds of dust local residents and guests have to breath with. No entertainment for kids. I can go on and on and on....

One visit is more than enough to see that place.

Pleasant lunch. We sometimes grab lunch at Friday Harbour after walking the nearby nature trails. It’s a busy place, especially summer, holidays and weekends. Several dining options. Recommend reservations or be prepared to wait. Lots of parking but not paved.

Not much to do, restaurants are bad and there is a resort fee for everything, meals, drinks etc. Many things restricted to owners even if you are renting.
Seems to be lacking pizzaz. Looks like a lot of money has been spent but its missing appeal for me

Went with friends to the Taste of the Beach Restaurant which is open to the public during the winter only.
They had date night Tuesday which for $60 you shared an appetizer-we had beef tacos and had steak frites and seafood linguini for our main course and then shared our desert. All very well prepared .
we were looked after by Tony who was excellent .
We enjoyed ourselves very much and will be back

Our family has been to Friday Harbor several times but have never stayed over night . This time we decided to stay for 4 days and soak it all in .
Rented a place on VRBO -The town house is exactly as the description and the photos . It was perfect for our family of 4 and seconds away from the main boardwalk . It's lovely to walk around , there is live music on the weekends and music playing from some of the outside Patios . Note most restaurants are not open until the weekend , we were disappointed to have not been able to eat at The Avenue ( Italian Restaurant ) as it only opens on Thursday night , Also you will need reservations for FishBone . Thankfully there is a lovely Fine Food Store on the Strip which offers literally everything and anything you need to make a meal . The kids spent some time at the beach , be sure to bring water shoes , as there is Zebra Mussel shells everywhere in the water and they can cut open the bottom of feet pretty badly . Definitely use the hiking trails . Its a lovely way to spend a few hours . I don't golf but they have a pretty nice golf course at Friday Harbor. As well as Jet Skis, Kayaks, canoes and paddle boards for rent . Also Fat Tire bikes for hitting those trails I mentioned . In short there is something for everyone and you won't be bored .

If you want to be ripped off, this is the place to go. No use of the facilities unless you pay $300 per person. And they have very little in amenties to use. Find another destination such as Airbnb or Verbo but stay clear of this monstrousity.

You call this a resort? Disappointing.. not much to do. Limited restaurants and quite boring. It's not worth the drive up from the city. Thought we'd take a drive up. Where were the washrooms? Parking was inconvenient. One trip says it all. Crammed place with the condos.

Change your management team now owners. Unfortunately you have single handley as a company turned a whole community against u..as we live locally and cannot sit idle any longer with your ridiculous rules and policies that suit no one but yourselves and owners of your condos...change now I beg of you before your resort turns into a non profit ghost town...Thanks ..but not sure for what!!!

My husband and I brought our boat here for a week as we are looking for a new spot. As live aboard boaters we were excited to consider Friday Harbour as a new possible home. We learned very quickly they do not want us. There is a reason this place is empty, and we were very disappointed. To say they make you feel like second-class citizens is an understatement. For the $10+k/year it would cost us to be permanent residents here we can’t so much as use the pool or eat at the clubhouse. The marina staff is good and they’re trying their best but this place is a ghost-town when it comes to boaters and we now understand why. Visitors be warned - if you don’t own a condo here they do not want you. Good luck to the hotel guests when that gets built, stay away!

This place is terrible. While we did enjoy our meal at the only non member restaurant everything else is for members only. You aren’t even allowed to eat at the empty restaurant on the water as a nonowner. The rules and vibe for guests makes you feel like a complete second class citizen. While I appreciate that the owners are trying to subsidize their investment, to do while offering their guests nothing is just offensive.
Would never come back. Feels like it has potential but that seems a long way off with an entirely new management company.
