Been there twice this year. Amazing value for the money. Very clean rooms, comfortable beds with very good mattresses. Cozy warm in winter, air conditioning in summer, generous size rooms with fridge, Micro, desk lounge chair, TV, fast WiFi , pretty much anything you need. Welcoming, very friendly and professional Reception.

We stayed here overnight. We got two bedrooms. It has a tv, aircon and bathroom. The room was clean. The beds were soft and so the pillows. The bathroom was clean as well with the basic amenities of toiletries and towels. Our only complain would be the air conditioning unit. It kept on stopping and we won’t be back like after 15 mins. It was very warm that day so actually my partner was a bit sweating during our stay. This hotel has a restaurant so it’s convenient to all the people staying but if you want to save money, tim hortons, subway, kfc, McDonald’s and A&W are just around the corner. Across tim hortons is a grocery store called Independent and it has a gas station too.

I stayed in Vanderhoof for 3 nights at the NCI. The Inn was comfortable and clean. The service at the restaurant was outstanding. It is open 6am-9 pm most days. The log cablin look makes it feel extremely cozy during the cold weather.

I stayed here with a friend while we were on the way to a back country skiing trip to Shames. The hotel was good value and we found the room was comfortable and quiet. There is a good restaurant next door and a great pub close by.

Excellent service and the best home made food I have had in a long time. Large menu with just about everything you could want. Coming back for breakfast in the morning. Very warm and cozy place feels like home.

We booked a deluxe room but I'm now wondering if we were given a standard room. It felt a little cramped with the two beds. Also, we had a microwave and refrigerator, but there was not a kitchenette area as shown in pictures on their website. Despite that, our one-night stay went well. It was made even better by dinner in their restaurant. We had an excellent waitress and the food was good. We followed that up with a walk in nearby Riverside Park.

Spent 3 weeks on business in Vanderhoof this month of February. It took a few days but we finally found the North country inn. A log cabin interior with German cuisine. The menu is extensive, and I tried to work my way through it. But I ran out of time. That being said, the service and the food were fantastic. Remembering that your in central to Northern bc, the price is reflect that. But all in all I give it a five star.

We booked into this hotel for a sporting event and was thinking we were getting a sports rate, as discussed over the phone. Later found out that we were paying $140 before taxes. When we went to check in , the front desk was closed. With a sign saying to go to room 22 or call # . After knocking on the room and asking to check in an extremely rude owner started to yell at us and called us down as we didn't know how to read and to go to the restaurant to check in on rm 22 ( as the note at the locked front desk said to) . Later that evening we were sitting in are room talking amongst ourselves we had the owner barge into the room holding a smoke telling us to get out as we were to loud, at 9:30pm. (in a non smoking room filling up with smoke now) Worst stay, and VERY rude owners . We will never recommend this motel to anyone

My daughter, my grandmother, and I stayed here on a recent trip to Vanderhoof for my sister's baby shower (we didnt' stay with her because they were in the process of moving).
We stayed for two nights, and although I wasn't OVERLY impressed, I wasn't disappointed either. I think next time I would definately ask for a newer room, however, the room we had served it's purpose and was alright. It was fairly clean, and had nice furniture. :)

They also have a wonderful restaurant (North Country Inn Restaurant) a few steps from the inn. We mostly ate here, and were not disappointed; friendly service, and delicious food! :)

We traveled through Vanderhoof in early September and were pleased with our stay at the North Country Inn. We stayed in one of their newer rooms, which they classify as "deluxe." It was spotlessly clean, the beds were comfortable, and there was a flat-screen TV. The free WiFi was easy to access and there was a nice desk to accommodate it. There was not the promised microwave, but one of the staff in their adjacent restaurant was very kind about finding one for us. (The manager was not on the premises so the restaurant staff was checking us in, etc.)
We were travelling with our dog, and were very grateful there was a nice park nearby. We would stay over there again on our trips to and from Alaska.
