This resort is exactly what we were looking for! We spent 3 nights in a two-bedroom unit with our daughter. It was great space, strong AC, and a fabulous deck. The pool was perfect and our daughter loved wandering around the little paths and waterfalls. Staff was super friendly and we really couldn't have asked for more. Book your snorkeling trips through them because the guide they work with is amazing!

We stayed for 10 days in July , this is a small resort with all the care and charm you can ask for. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the wifi works great, the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need for a few days of cooking. The front desk staff was amazing ensuring all our plans went off with out any problems. The cleaning crew keeps the room and common areas of the resort in immaculate condition the pride in their work really shows. There are no restaurants at the resort but plenty of options with in walking distance from bars, street food, restaurants and a grocery you should be able to find what you need. US currency works anywhere with out concern. You can rent a cart in the office for a discount and really worth it to explore a little farther out and for small Souvenir shopping.. we arrived at the beginning of lobster season and it was prevalent and cheap on most all menus. Looking for a quiet local place to stay look no further than Xanadu you won’t regret it! thank you all for everything you made our stay incredible! This was our first visit to the island we are already planning to return!!

I cannot say enough about the wonderful staff at Xanadu. EVERYONE was so kind and helpful and they answered every question and accommodated every request with a smile. They arranged 3 tours (two snorkeling and one flats fishing) for us and all were amazing and set up with knowledgeable local guides. We LOVED our two bedroom suite and the full kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The grounds are so well kept and the pool and beach front are beautiful!!! The location is perfect (about 1 mile south of town) as it is close to everything yet very quiet - there is a ton of stuff to walk too and very easy to zip into town for dinner. I have traveled all over the world and rank this trip and resort at the top of my list - if you plan on visit to San Pedro, Xanadu is the best option by far!!

Our first time in San Pedro, and we stayed the first half of our trip at Xanadu. We were absolutely thrilled with the location, accommodations, personnel and mojitos! The staff are so nice and go out of their way to help with anything you might need. The rooms are super spacious and really allowed us to get comfortable over the week. The pool and jacuzzi were so nice to use daily... And the location is removed enough from the street so you don't get any noise... But still close enough to things that really the most you need to drive in a golf cart is ten minutes. Winston and Jesica make killer mojitos to sip by the pool. Would definitely recommend for couples, families, solo travelers, you name it! You will be very happy with your choice to stay at Xanadu!

The staff of this resort deserves the highest rating possible. They were friendly and helpful and went above and beyond making reservations with local tour companies and handling the logistics of arrival and departure. The property is well maintained and beautiful, with great views of the ocean, spacious patios/decks, and a beautiful pool. The units are comfortable and functional (we had a two-bedroom/two-bathroom with kitchen and living room on an upper floor). For San Pedro, the location is good, as it sits back from the road and is mostly protected from the noise of the golf carts zipping up and down the streets. There is a small store for groceries, a bakery, some produce stands, a barbecue stand, and a pupuseria just down the path from the resort. Do be aware that there is no walk-in access to the water, as the ocean floor here is very rocky. Also, even though I highly recommend this resort if your destination in Ambergris Caye, I won't stay on the island again. It is noisy and crowded and polluted with fumes from the golf carts, and there is construction debris and trash along the roads and beach. I've given "rooms" a 4 only because the bed was not very comfortable.

We stayed in an Ocean View Suite with the most spectacular sunrise view! The room is spacious and has good amenities. Staff is incredibly friendly and professional. Jessica was so wonderful to us, we almost felt like family! They can arrange for pretty much anything you need or are interested in doing or seeing and all expenses will be neatly invoiced at the end of your stay. The grounds are immaculately kept and pool/jacuzzi is gorgeous. We had massages on our deck that were definitely a highlight of our stay. We spent most of our 12 day stay diving but between dives and exploring this was a great place to be to relax. This is the perfect location because it is quiet but not so far south of town you have to suffer the rough dirt road or a long drive to down town. There is also a great place to eat an easy walk south on the main road called 'The Baker' as well as a small grocery just across the street from the baker. Please be sure to bring a bit of cash to tip while you are here, it is a very difficult time for the people on the island and they are already slashing prices to attract the few tourists that are trickling in <3

Xanadu has a great atmosphere which sets it apart from so many other resorts we saw from the beach. There are palms/vegetation everywhere, which really makes all the shared spaces feel a bit like a jungle even though you're right next to the sand. The pool area and hot tub really make this place, it was a great place to hang out any time of the day. There was a lot of wind and seasonal seaweed during our trip so we never got to swim in the sea, but they do have a roped off swimming area at the end of the pier which seemed delightful in better conditions. I appreciated their non-traditional beach during our stay because the wall kept the seaweed at bay. After walking up and down the beach, every place with a "real" beach had about 3 ft of seaweed on it, and no one else seemed to be as good at keeping up on beach maintenance as Xanadu was. They have plenty of well-manicured sand to enjoy the beach experience, and the entire property was impressively well groomed. The suite definitely has a couple of 90's finishes still, but it's clear they've been making efforts to update things. With a kitchen and a market close by, you don't have to eat out every meal. That being said, there were less restaurants within walking distance than I expected, which was a combo of both pandemic related closures and the roads being a little less walkable than I thought. All of the staff were super helpful and accommodating, booking tours/golf cart rentals/covid testing. I highly recommend this place!

Xanandu Island Resort in Belize was the perfect place to fulfill our daughter's dream of a tropical destination wedding with a bit of adventure on the side. The beautiful natural surroundings are just as pretty in person as they are in the photos on the website. The employees are wonderful, friendly and helpful with anything you need. When we asked where can we get a fresh coconut, Orlando got some right from one of the palm trees by the pool and cut them open with his machette so that we could each have a fresh coconut to drink. Ingrid and Melanie were so helpful with all the wedding plans. Beautiful flowers, very accommodating about our choice of ceremony location. Everyone was super nice!! There were 10 of us staying in 4 suites all of which were well-equipped, clean, comfortable and beautiful. We all had a great time!!

We stayed 10 days here and did not want to leave. Everyone was so nice. They really take extra care of you. From Ingrid at check in , Jessica arranging your tours or Winston making fabulous cocktails, the whole place is like family and they are so glad your there. Lush green paradise. Rooms were extremely clean and they go over and beyond cleaning/ spraying for covid germs. The beach was spotless, they rake the sand frequently and you feel like your the first one to step there. The gardens are delightfully cool on a hot day and the breeze was blowing the entire time. The shade is relaxing. No bugs or mosquitoes at all. Some places deliver food to resort or a short golf cart ride to deliciousness. The golf cart company will bring the cart right to you. No extra fees. Highly recommend staying here, we will return for sure!!!

Just a fantastic experience all around! Your host Peter and Michelle really run a terrific Hotel. The grounds are just outstanding, with terrific vegetation everywhere, well-shaded pool, and a hot tub overlooking the gorgeous oceanfront with pier, (and a truly awesome banyan tree in the nature walk area), The staff does a fantastic job of keeping it all well manicured, The setup of the rooms and suites is private and intimate, and the views are spectacular - we had an "Ocean View" suite and it had plenty.
Location near town is a plus for getting out and eating/drinking, and there's a nice little "neighborhood" right outside the entrance with most of what you'll need, but you'll feel like you're away from it all when you;re here, Bikes and Kayaks free at your disposal - what more could you want?

Its easy to get one, but i believe you will get a very good deal if you reserve one with Xanadu. The weeds do stink occasionally, but once you get used to in few hours ypu wont notice it
During our stay the dives were done through Amigos del Mar, about which I only have great things to say. Very helpful and knowledgeable and great staff
There are more places to choose from in the San Pedro area.
