I stayed here labour day weekend 2012 and I was shown two different rooms, the queen bed room, and the king bed room. The one with the queen sized bed I felt was very out dated and small, which was $75/nite. The king sized room was $85/nite. I was actually impressed with the King Sized room(Room 115). They clearly have put in an effort to get the room looking good with upgraded bathroom, laminate flooring, lighting, fresh paint. I found the bed a little hard, but it did the job. The biggest thing that bugged me was the part of town the motel was in. VERY Sketchy area. My wife and I watched a prostitute(we think, but we don't judge) walk out when we arrived around 2:00am and the next morning some lady was complaining to me about her room smelling like pee, the manager refused to give her my room.

The room was clean, the A/C worked eventho it was a little slow, no weird smells/sounds, pressed sheets were nice.

If you're looking to save a buck and just get a nite's rest when other nicer hotels are booked up, I would say stay here in room 115, it wasn't that bad. The front desk was very nice to me as well, they took a $20 deposit @ checkin, and they gave it back tome the next morning in cash.

A cheap hotel in a great location. A buddy and I booked this when we went to a football game. Looked at all the reviews, and knew what we were getting into. What the heck, it's cheap, good location for bars, kinda clean, and staff was friendly. Note; don't bring your significant other here, it's a guy place to crash. Personally if I brought my wife, she wouldn'y have got of the car:)

Nice room, close to a lot of things, good staff, although didn't blow my expectations away. Would say the price should be 65$ for our room. Not 80.

However I'll stay here again in the future,
Nice tv, decent A/c and was free parking. Could use better bathroom

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at

The room itself wasn't terrible. Seemed mostly clean. Though it was a non-smoking room, the sheets, blankets and towels all had a strong smoke smell.

Bed was hard as a rock.

All night long there was traffic in and out of the parking lot. A couple young men were in the lot all night long doing some sort of business transactions with cars that would come in for a few minutes.

I would never stay here again.

I would rate the Budget Inn Motel (----) much LOWER, but there is no lower rating! We were only looking for a bed to sleep in on our long road trip.. we were exhausted. We were not expecting much, but got much less than we were expecting!

The motel was a dirty place, the people at the reception desk were obviously under the influence of some substances, they had dirty rooms that were falling apart (ceiling was broken and falling down in places, the carpets were stained and dirty), the smoke detector kept beeping all night, there were empty beer bottles in the cupboard in the bathroom, the toilet did not work, there was an unsafe window air conditioner with frayed/bare wires-a definite fire hazard, there were noisy people next door "enjoying themselves" loudly all night long, there were noisy people running up and down the hallways at 3am, our room was rented out to 2 different sets of people in one night (someone WALKED IN ON US at 4am because they were given the keys to our room!), we got unwanted phone calls from the front desk at 4am telling us to go downstairs immediately to prove that we had paid for the night- they had lost our records from when we checked in.

This was definitely not a COMFORTABLE or SAFE place to be. We left at 4:30am and went to a reputable hotel.

Never again will we settle for "just a bed to sleep in"!

Don't make the same mistake we did!

This is located in the heart of downtown Hamilton Ontario. The name says it all. Budget inn. The room had a very strong sbed bug and other chemical ordors. It was a little hard to breath. When I asked to switch rooms, the 20 something Indian hotel clerk was rude and threatening. He said "what does it matter? Check out time is 11:00am. If you make a mess you will lose your deposit. He then said go to sleep its in your head".

I then in my shock left and went back to the room. When I tried to air the place out, I found the windows boarded up! I would have left or complained further, but I arrived after 11pm and really had no other option; along with feeling very intimidated by the staff. The entire staff seems to be related...the younger ones cleaning the rooms make negitively comments about me as I was leaving.

The price of this hotel was only $5 less then the average standard motel. I would not go back or bring anyone else here...

We didn't even get out of the car. The building was falling apart and the letters were peeling off. Was also not in a nice neighbour hood and looked like it was used for "business ". There was no way we were staying there. We cancelled our room and went to another hotel.

My husband, granddaughter and myself stayed here for 2 nights. What an AMAZING change here with the NEW RENOVATIONS. Our room was BEAUTIFUL with the up to date painted walls and décor. We had 2 queen size beds and the room was still very large with lots of space. The room was so very clean and a small frig, microwave, a/c and a t.v. were in there. The beds were so comfortable. ALL of the staff were very friendly and helpful. This inn is close to downtown Hamilton and the rate is very reasonable for what we got. THANK YOU for making our stay a very enjoyable one. Our COMPLEMENTS go out to the new owners on the GREAT job that they did on this Inn.Yes we will stay there again. THANK YOU from the MacKay's in Brockville,Ontario

We were going to stay there in 2005. We paid, got in the room and it was the most disgusting thing I've ever seen. First it was hot, so I went to turn on the AC, hmm, didn't work. Noticed a window unit, didn't work either....went to see if it was plugged in and there was no plug, just wires sticking out.. Go to turn the light on (lamp), doesn't work, again, no plug, just wires. Go to turn on the bedside lamps that are mounted to the wall, no light bulbs. There is a refrigerator in the room, open it, it's warm with a half open 40oz of beer. Decide to look at the plug.... again, just wires.

Go to the bathroom, no shower curtain. The cupboard doors are falling off the hinges. The carpet is stained, and looked like dried blood.

I do not think that the second poster stayed in the same motel as myself or the first poster. This place was NASTY and should be shut down.

PS: if I happen to find the pictures I took, I will post them on here.

Picture on internet not what actually looks like from outside. Curtains on windows ripped. Looks like a dump actually not like the pictures on internet. When I booked they told me there was no cancellation fee. When I cancelled they charged me the full price of my room and I cancelled at 2:30 p.m. on that day. I couldnt stay there after seeing the building from the outside. They say that cancellation policy is on website but have looked an not.
