I arrived after making a reservation last night in a panic. My reservations did not go through with another hotel and I needed to find somewhere fast. This fit the bill and I was pleasantly surprised. The gentleman who was art the front desk bent over backwards to assist me to a ground level room (easiest access). He managed to get me one and bingo! My night went from horrible to awesome! I knew to COVID that things were a little odd, but this Comfort Inn saved the day. Sure, it is a bit dated, etc, but they do their best! Rooms were extremely clean and internet worked great! Breakfast was a COVID one, but still, they provided enough essentials to get me going! I will be staying here again 100%. Thank you

The only thing negative was the room smelled a bit musty of cigarette smoke, but it wasn't horrible enough to complain. STILL, it was a great stay and can't wait to stay again!

Niagara Falls,
We (my partner, 2 kids, dog, and I) recently stayed for one night at the Comfort Inn on Hart Drive. It was a really simple booking and check-in process that took no time at all. I spoke with a gentleman on the phone who was very helpful and gave some information on bringing a pet to the property. He also offered to get things set up for me while we were on the line. The room was clean, set up nicely, and had everything we needed. We had a very comfortable stay and enjoyed the simple breakfast foods that were available the next morning - coffee, yogurts, pastries, fruits, and cereal. Thank you to the Comfort Inn team for a great stay!

Great room for the price, tea/coffee, juice facilities available 24 hours and then a breakfast in the morning. Breakfast had a nice choice. Room was clean, 2 double beds comfortable. Is situated next to main road but didn’t disturb the sleep. No lift so we had to carry our suitcases up the stairs. Free parking.

this place was GREAT. From the time we walked in for check in until the time we departed, it was nothing but professional. Check in was great. Lynn at the front desk was nothing but accommodating, friendly, funny & professional. the rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. There were hockey teams staying that were in a tournament, so at times it did get a little loud. But kids are kids. the breakfast was really good. again with the hockey teams staying it was busy in the breakfast area but the hotel cannot control that so I will not take points away for that. this is a business and the more people there the better for them. However with all the people staying and as busy as it was. I would most defiantly stay there again. Lynn and her staff are great, so thanks again form your hospitality.

UTURE GUESTS BE AWARE!!
If I could give less then one star I would....
I was visiting Barrie for a hockey tournament that my one son, 14 was playing in.
We were booked into the Comfort Inn on 75 Hart Drive for three nights. I was in my room alone with my 14 year old son and my 16 year old daughter.
At 4am on Saturday November 27th I heard someone at my door opening it with a key, which I thought was either my son or my husband not knowing what time it was. I opened my eyes when the light at the door was turned on and the front desk employee was standing in my room staring at me and my children. I must have startled him because he immediately turned around and exited my room, leaving the light on.
The reason he entered my room was simply, he was flustered due to another situation and entered the wrong room. He did not knock or announce his presence which is completely against the law to enter a room.
The next night the same employee returned for his shift, which I was shocked there was not some type of schedule change since I was still staying there another night.
The hotel manager did not speak to me until Monday morning when I had to call to follow-up. They basically told me that since they compensated me for one night, the night of the incident, that is all they are willing to do and that if I felt unsafe I could have left. So, I was to leave and find somewhere else to stay.
My privacy was violated and what this employee did was against the law. I have never felt so uncomfortable to be stared at in my room while I was in my bed.
The lack of response from hotel management was disrespectful and showed they did not care by allowing the same employee to return for his next shift.

I think this hotel is way under rated. First, the service from everyone (I encountered 4 different people during our stay) was so nice. Everyone was pleasant, happy (yes, actually happy), kind & helpful. The place was spotless, bed was comfy & we had no problem finding the Leaf play-off game on the nice sized TV. We really like hotels where we can park outside our patio door. Guests were social & breakfast & area was great. I asked where I could buy a bottle of water & was directed to a cold water dispenser & cups! It’s also pet friendly on the main level & that was so hard to find. I give it 5 stars because IMO it’s well deserved!

CAF Veteran wrote a review Aug 2021
Moncton, Canada
As a Canadian Armed Forces veteran, I am truly disappointed by two items. One is that despite websites including the one for the hotel itself claiming that the hotel is "Pet Friendly", this is only the case for dogs only.

The other item of the gravest egregiousness was after I made a reservation for a stay between 26 Aug and 2 Sep 2021 mentioning I had two cats and the attendant saw no issue with this. After staying at the hotel for the first night (26-27 Aug), I received a phone call from a "Jennifer" who claimed she was the manager and proceeded to tell me that I "needed to leave" at the policy was dogs only. I explained to her that I had made the reservation a while ago and that I was told that cats were acceptable as pets and that trying to get another hotel that accepted cats was now impossible. In her words, "that's not my problem". I proceeded to exclaim that yes it was her problem in that when I booked the room, a contact was made to stay at the site with my 2 cats and that if she is changing the conditions of the contract that I wanted an alternative at the Hotel's discretion and/or expense. I was willing to remain on site with my cats as per agreement as I was the one disadvantaged by no fault of my own and the Hotel was liable. Instead of assisting me, the words "that's not our problem" and "you are a liar" were spoken by this manager. I found this attitude and interaction extremely appalling and merits dismissal from this role of manager when speaking to customers this way is absolutely disrespectful and not within any code of ethical behavior.

This negative way in which this manager spoke to customers was also confirmed by two separate hotel staff members, so obviously there has been an unchecked pattern of similar interactions with other customers.

As a result of this negative interaction, there will be negative reviews about my stay and I will endeavor to submit my complaint to the Chief of Military Personnel to have this hotel removed from the Public Service Hotel listing as I do not want other Canadian Armed Forces members and/or veterans to have to suffer from the mental anxiety that I experienced here.

From my perspective, this whole situation exacerbated my PTSD condition and I needed my wife to assist me in returning my mental state to normal. I hope the hotel executive do what's right in ensuring this person never has to interact with customers again.

Storme V wrote a review Nov 2023
I traveled from North Bay to Barrie on September 29th, then to Toronto for training purposes on the 30th of September, and then back to Barrie on October 1 before returning home to North Bay on Monday, October 2nd. A friend in Barrie prepaid my two nights' stays at this hotel; Friday, September 29/30, and Sunday, October 1/2 as a gift. There was no problem on the Friday night stay, all was fairly smooth. When I returned to the hotel on Sunday evening, October 1, the young man working the desk said that he was not aware that the room was prepaid, there were no notes on file and that if I wanted to stay I would have to pay for the room plus the $50 deposit; on my VISA, if you please: with no other option, I paid. After two emails, one to the corporate office and one directly to the hotel itself, I have yet to receive an acknowledgment of the error or a refund for my VISA. As a senior, every penny counts and I am astonished that a hotel chain of this caliber would not pick up on the double payment for one room when posting on the 3rd. So, it has been two months since this occurred and there is no resolution in sight.

We’ve stayed in numerous Comfort Inns across North America but this one falls well short.
Bed was awful. King bed that was soft and saggy. You roll to the center when in the bed. Terrible.
Room was very dark. Poor lighting.
TV/ cable is the cheapest available.
The pull sofa bed is filthy. Didn’t want to sit on it. Needs a steam clean.
Doubt I’d stay again.
