This quiet spot is very quaint, and close to the ferry for whale watching excursions. The house is charming, with a large sitting area full of wicker furniture to lounge on and a large dining area. It felt like visiting grandma’s (except my grandma’s house wasn’t this large). Our room was fine- it was nice to have our own bathroom. The antique bed was really creaky, but I still slept well with the breeze from the bay cooling our room. Debbie was great- she’s quite a character! She had good recommendations for supper. You have to be aware this is a remote location. You will have to drive 20ish minutes to get to a restaurant (go to Antonio’s!) and a bit more to get to town, where there are lots more food options. Debbie runs the inn for an owner from Ontario- who needs to spend a bit of $ to do some touch ups. It is a charming place that just needs a bit of general upkeep.

The inn brought back great memories spending time at my aunts lake cottage. It is a very quaint and charming inn. If you are looking for a fast paced area, this is not for you. Digby is a short ride for dinner and definitely try Sea Bisquit Cafe for great cofee.
The inn was a very laid back place to spend the night. We would come back to see Debbie again.

Inn was beautiful with a lot of charm. We stayed here as a stopping point before going on to brier island for whale watching and would recommend anyone to do the same.

Debbie was hilarious and gave great recommendations

Olde Style Charm and Hospitality! Perfect for a weekend getaway. Great jumping off point for hikes on Long Island or Breir island- or a hike up to Mt Shubal. It's also close enough to Digby that you can easily have a great seafood dinner in town. The outdoor BBQ and the fire pit are great for friends and family! The inn is meticulously clean.

I have always spend summers in Nova Scotia and only stumbled upon this gem 2 summers ago. They have an Inn as well as 2 vacation homes and 2 guest cottages for rent. WE have stayed at the Old School house as well as Captain BIllys , a 5 bedroom 7 bath home. It was lovely. After having to rush down for a funeral, we were greeted with a home fully decorated with a wild Christmas tree. Debbie and Randy the innkeepers are the most kind people you could meet. Anyone who wants to visit the bay of fundy and want a truly authentic Maritime experience, would be in heaven at the Olde Village Inn

Stayed just one night- wish we had traveled on for better accommodations. Very stuffy and musty room, bed was very uncomfortable, bathroom fixtures need replacing, shower pressure was a dribble and the ceiling fan noise kept us awake for much of the restless night. Manager Debby was friendly and informative and made suggestions for points of interest and was very honest about the lack of places to eat in the area. Wish the absentee owner would spend some $ on improving the accommodations. The place has a lot of charm and could be really something.

It's an older place so it is bound to smell a little different. But the couch in room one was so musty it affected my wife and myself, scratchy throat sneezing etc and I am sure the carpet didnt help this much. There is nothing around to get food and there is no available way to make food yourself or even make a coffee and the advertised wifi does not work. So if you do choose to come here bring food with you.

The rooms were clean, quaint, and comfortable. We arrived to find the Inn empty and the heat was off. We found the heat and turned it on and it blasted into one of our rooms but during the night someone turned the heat off and our second room froze. They actually were so cold they could not sleep and got up at 4 am. It made for a tired day the next day. This really took away from the comfort of the Inn. Not sure what the WiFi password was.

The Olde Village Inn is located 30 minutes from Digby, NS. It is an ideal location, if you plan to go whale watching.
Although this Inn has a lot of potential, it does not impress.
I had pre-reserved 2 rooms; upon check- in, I was told they only had 1 room. I told them to check again, as it was imperative, as my husband and I were travelling with our 2 adult kids. Magically, they “found” another room.
Rooms were clean and furnished as advertised.
However, we were extremely disappointed with breakfast which consisted of weak coffee, tetra PACs of juice, yogurt, individual servings of fruit salad and store-bought and wrapped mediocre muffins. I enquired if they had toast or bagels; they did not. There was also neither cereals nor eggs.
Needless to say, we had to drive into Digby for a proper breakfast.
Further, their photos are out of date- no pool table on site.
I also noted that there did not seem to be any “owner” available overnight.

The inn was OK for one night.

We ended up in one of the cabins and enjoyed our stay. It is a beautiful place to just relax and let the world go by. My daughter and I were really tired that night and the beds were comfortable and the quiet after a hectic day was wonderful
