The Blue Horizon Hotel garners high marks for its spacious and pristine rooms, acclaimed for their comfort and striking views, although some guests suggest the addition of microwaves and attention to maintenance. The staff's professionalism enhances the overall welcoming atmosphere, which resonates with many visitors. Set on bustling Robson Street, the hotel's location is a stone's throw from diverse dining options and iconic Stanley Park, making it a hit with travelers. While opinions on value show a divide, with some concerns about costs, the quietude on higher floors is a noted perk, despite occasional noise complaints on lower levels.

The hotel is location in the heart of down town, staff was super friendly, allowed us late checkout too. Room was big and clean. You can compare the room with any high end 4 star hotel with prices of 2 star hotel. I hd compare room rates of nearby hotels and found the rates to be 100+ dollars more, same area same type of hotel. Smoking is not allowed but i would recommend to place an ash tray outside the hotel with a smoking area sign as smokers were smoking and throwing cigarettes on the ground. Will definitely stay again when visiting Vancouver. Recommend this hotel 10/10

Absolutely loved staying in this hotel. Upon arrival I was able to check in a little bit earlier and the staff were friendly. I was on the 24th floor with great views overlooking the city and the water.

The bed was super comfy and the room was spacious. Indoor pool, hot tub and sauna were enjoyable. I went to the gym room and only the the treadmills were plugged in and available to use. This was disappointing.

The hop on hop off and free shuttle to Capilano stop right outside the hotel as well as the public bus.

Main food places around were Asian cuisine and the restaurant downstairs was only open for breakfast and lunch. I would have been good for this to be open for dinner as well.

Decent, individual hotel with a bit of personality, in a good location on the main shopping street in downtown Vancouver. Can walk to most of the sights within 20 minutes.

We got a good deal by booking some months in advance for a 4 night stay at 200 CAD per night room, which was cheaper than many other similar hotels. However, housekeeping is on request only, which is I guess, how they keep their price down.

Our entry level room was spacious and modern with two king size beds and a small balcony (too small for any seating). The bathroom in comparison was compact - don't understand why they didn't make it larger when the room itself was so big. Nevertheless it was well kitted out and the shower (over bath) was sufficiently powerful.

The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the room was equipped with a kettle, coffee machine and fridge. We were on the 12th floor and the room was reasonably quiet. The only thing that let it down was the air conditioning which was both rubbish for cooling the room and very noisy.

The hotel benefits from underground parking (which we didn't use so not sure how much it costs), an indoor pool and small gym. There is also an on site cafe which is currently open for breakfast only.

I love this hotel.
We visited in March for the rugby event. I picked it bc if it’s central location and balcony.
The hotel is a 15 min walk from the station. Vancouver is very pedestrian friendly and we walked everywhere.
The rooms are surprisingly large with balcony and large windows. The king bed was perfect. Everything was clean, neat, and as expected.
The staff were professional, efficient and friendly.
The best part of the location is the number of restaurants- easily 20 restaurants on the block. 4 coffee shops within the block. 2 breakfast places within the same block. Greek, asian, Indian ... yikes so many choices!
Noise level was minimal even though we were on 9th floor.
The large Stanely Park is just a 10 min walk away.
They also had an umbrella rental kiosk in the lobby which was a life saver for 2 of our days.
I plan on returning next year for the Rugby and will for sure stay at this hotel again.

Hello 331rezab: Thank you for the wonderful 5 star review! You pointed out everything we love about our location too! Vancouver is indeed a walkable city and we are in the middle of it all. An easy walk to BC Place or Stanley Park. Yes we do have a large variety of restaurants just steps away and you must be sure to try our restaurant, ABODE when you come back next year. We look forward to welcoming you back for the 2021 Rugby Sevens and hopefully you will not have to use our complimentary umbrella kiosk! Kind regards, Suzanne Director of Sales

Very good location along Robson Street, shopping, sights (Roedde House, Vancouver Art Gallery) and some very good eateries are all nearby. The beds are as comfortable as all the reviewers have described. The room is very spacious, the bathroom comparatively small. The corners of the rooms are windows, with a balcony, and the heater is automated to switch off when the sliding door to the balcony is open. Many breakfast options nearby. The front desk is busy all the time and the person checking us in was all business, no smiles. Room includes a Nespresso machine, capsule and tea bags and they keep it very clean. A good choice for the area.

We were on a family trip with our adult daughter. Our room was spacious enough for three adults and we appreciated the housekeeping practices of only coming in when requested. The view from our corner room was fantastic. A little on the negative side were things like tiny beverage glasses, no information regarding things to do or restaurants in the area.

Amazingly comfortable beds albeit very high, so if you are on the shorter side (or have mobility problems) you might need to use one of the footstools to help you in and out. I'm 5ft 8in tall and just about managed OK. We had a corner room on the 27th floor and the view was fabulous. Blackout curtains and a provided curtain peg meant we weren't disturbed by the morning light. Bathroom was well appointed and the whole place was spotlessly clean. Hop on hop off bus stopped outside the hotel so handy for touring. Short taxi ride from the cruise terminal, walkable if you only had a light carry on bag. Plenty of eating places, bars etc around with a SUPERB 24-hour cafe and bakery "Breka" just a few yards away. Highly recommend both the hotel and its location. Staff were friendly and helpful too.

On Robson Street, the hotel is within easy walking distance of the harbour, Stanley Park and the False Creek Ferry, plus shops and restaurants. Reception was very friendly and helpful, especially the young man who was on duty during the first few days of our stay. Our room was on the 9th floor so was quiet, although we didn't get a view of the harbour from there. The room was large, with chairs and tables, a comfortable bed, black-out blinds and aircon that was not too noisy. The bathroom looked brand new, with a walk-in shower with a good solid sliding door, white towels and shower gel/shampoo etc. The lighting in the room was better than the other hotels we had stayed during our trip. We had breakfast in the restaurant twice, there is a good selection to choose from the menu, the staff were friendly and efficient, and the food was nicely presented and cooked well.
We can highly recommend this hotel.

Reception desk manager and housekeeping manager did their best to ensure our room was as free as possible of fragrance. I am allergic to fragrances. I greatly appreciated their efforts.
The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The location was great.

Amazing views from our Queen Seaview with Balcony on the 24th floor of the Blue Horizon.

As a person with mobility issues I was very happy to have a walk in shower with grab bars and minimal floor ledge into the shower (less than 2 inches). However the toilet was a little low.

Housekeeping kept the room pristine and the amenities such as coffee pods stocked up (there is a Nespresso compatible ciffee pod machine in the room).

Our corner room had a lot of windows across 2 walls, allowing heaps of light in.

At street level there is a small restaurant that serves delicious breakfasts at a reasonable price.

Hi Nivia, We do have laundry service offered but with limited pick up and drop off dates. Pick-up will be MONDAYS -> DROP OFFS WEDNESDAY -> PICK UP ON FRIDAYS. We also recommend a company called "WE DO LAUNDRY" they do same day pick-up. The front desk will be able to assist you better upon arrival.
