The staff was friendly (especially Alma).
The room was huge and clean.
The hot breakfast items are microwaved and then placed in the buffet warming trays - it would sometimes get cold (quiche and sausages) if the burners were off.
We wanted to use the underground parking because it was very cold when we were in Fort McMurray. Unfortunately, after slowly going thru 3 speed bumps, there was a metal plate on the ground that sticks up - our Toyota Camry (that's low) got damaged because the metal plate hit the plastic piece at the exterior front passenger.
In general, great value for what we got.
The room was huge and clean.

The heated indoor parking is great / very good breakfast / gym is just basic / rooms are large / staff is friendly. Rooms are large and quiet. I stay here 4 times per year. Location is downtown - close to many things.

We stayed one night at this hotel. Excellent location, especially when attending an event at MacDonald Island. Large comfortable suites. Great amenities near by. I would definitely stay there again. I highly recommend this hotel.

Checked in at 3. Went up to our room to find that it had a portable A/C unit propped up on one of the nightstands which had been moved in front of the window as the hotels A/C was no longer working. Checked closer to find it draining into the recycling can which was behind it and overflowing onto the floor. Didn’t think much about it so we left the room to go for supper came back later in the evening to find another litre of water had collected in the a/c drain bucket so I dumped it again. Sat in the room for about 30 minutes and my allergies started going nuts and the room had a strange musty smell to it. I then suggested to the rest of the family that maybe we shy leave and by the time we packed up the kids were also complaining of stuffy noses. And sore throat’s. went to the front desk to inquire about checking out and was told no problem but you will be charged for the night. Described the issue again with the clerk and was told sorry would you like a printed bill or email no discount will be applied. When leaving check other units out and seen many with windows propped open and a/c units propped up in front of windows. Would I recommend this place definitely not there are way better places to stay for a slightly higher price and definitely well worth it.

I stayed here for one night on business, on the recommendation of colleagues. There were a lot of things I liked about the hotel, as the rooms were spacious and clean, with a desk and living area, as well as a small kitchenette. The complimentary breakfast was also very good, with some hot offerings (waffles, omelettes, sausages), and a variety of breads, cereals, juices, and some fruit. The staff I talked to were also friendly and made me feel quite welcome. The fitness room is pretty much a closet with a couple of pieces of equipment, but it was better than nothing. From what I understand about this hotel, there are rooms facing Franklin Avenue and an overpass heading across the river, and some rooms facing the river with somewhat of a view. Unfortunately, I was on the Franklin Avenue side, and the traffic noise was totally non-stop. I thought it might get better once rush hour was over but it didn’t. I spent quite a bit of time in my room trying to work, and the noise made it difficult to concentrate on reading and the documents I was working on. Thankfully I had brought ear plugs to sleep, otherwise I don’t think I would have gotten much rest. I probably would have enjoyed my stay a lot more if my room had been quieter, but without adequate soundproofing on the windows and patio door it was pretty unpleasant. Had I been staying another night I would have asked to switch rooms to a different side of the hotel.

A weird feeling at the check-in! The man behind the counter appeared unhappy to process my check-in, no greetings, no smiles, has quite an awkward personality. The rooms are not really suites (I visited 2 rooms and the layout is exactly the same). the window seals were full of dirt, I also question the maintenance and up-keeping of the property. The room charge is high but the hotel is not that great. The breakfast is just okay. There is no restaurants close by. The only thing I appreciated was the tiny balcony and view of the Saskatchewan river.

Great hotel with great staff but there is no pool or hot tub. Always seems a little warm in the rooms. Has a good breakfast but wished it went a little later, perhaps till 10 am? Also could use a movie channel or two. Staff is excellent and friendly

I stayed in this hotel for work in the area. I expected a little more than what was there. The room faced an intersection where the traffic noise was very loud. There was no decafinated coffee in-room and when I asked they said they don't provide this. The breakfast was almost ineddible unless you like toast and cereal. Even the coffee was not warm. I ended up eating somewhere else for breakfast each day. There was an accent table across from the elevators that was either dusty or greasy looking. Hotels should have some standards. This is not a very good hotel. Just because it's in Fort McMurray does not mean we should expect this.

I stay here one or two nights pretty much weekly for work. Every staff member treats me like gold every time I come through the door. Great people! Rooms are clean, comfortable beds, easy walking distance to a decent selection of restaurants, underground parking that fits my pickup truck (awesome to have in the winter).

Haven’t stayed here in years. Decent location and a clean room. The staff was friendly and helpful.
It’s close enough to a couple of restaurants that you can walk. It’s just up the road from some grocery stores so you would want to drive for those.
The room was clean and tidy. Doors slam rather loudly, and with it being Fort Mac, different people hold different hours. I was woken up on a couple of occasions. No biggie though. Bed was comfy.
