Overall, I'd give this room and hotel a 3 out of 10 The room was a LONG ways from the elevator. There were doors to get out quickly nearer the elevator but they locked behind you. In case of an emergency they lobby was a long was away. The suite door didn't fit properly so I had to shoulder it open and closed. The main problem was the tv. It worked for an hour then went off and never really worked again, even after 2 visits from maintenance. The OLD AC unit had no temp controls only fan so the room was either freezing or nothing. I have a bedside appliance that need plugging in and the ONE outlet behind the bedside table was full with a crappy extension cord. I had to unplug the clock radio to get an outlet. It took superhuman strength to left the tub diverter so I could shower. A woman wouldn't have been able to do it. The tissue box was empty but I had to go to the front desk to get another as there was no housekeeping on duty. The lounge was closed, only a restaurant open I know this hotel is 60 years old but don't charge like it's band new at over $200 per night. When I asked for a discount because of the tv they said they couldn't do anything because I'd booked through a third party. The third party said they couldn't do anything either so I just gave up. Don't bother with this place. There's better and/or cheaper nearby.

The all day breakfast option allows one to have it in the afternoon. Several in the group chose this.
It is a regular breakfast. Nothing fancy just eggs and bacon, with toast. Made for an easy start to the rest of the day.

Current owners purchased nearly a decade ago and said they would bring it back to its former glory. Apparently that never happened. The whole place looks pretty run down. Big holes in the ceiling of hall ways. Rooms haven’t been maintained and are super dated other than the furniture. Old metal tubs, rusty chrome, ancient shower heads full of lime scale. The restaurant food was very low grade and tasted stale, plus the staff were no where to be seen with only two customers in the entire place. I was told there are no snack or pop machines in the entire place because ‘they broke and couldn’t be fixed’…. I was directed to walk across the busy roadway over to the Canadian tire gas bar. At night by myself? No thanks. The lobby is very dark, if you have vision issues avoid. There are slopes and rocks and all sorts of weird stuff in the lobby for you to trip over if you can’t see. Front desk also told me I was getting a special rate, but from what I see online it is the regular rate. I should have taken more photos.

Me and my boyfriend stayed at this hotel for one night and did not have the best experience. We were originally supposed to stay three nights but we just did not find this hotel acceptable for us to stay in. I remember being at this hotel years ago and it was nothing like I remembered it to be. It is very run down. The furniture is old and there’s a funky smell all over the room. There is no safe. There’s kids running all over the place. We even witnessed one of them spitting in the lobby like it was nothing. When we contacted the third party where we booked this hotel, to try and get our money back since we were going to another hotel, they couldn’t get a hold of anyone. We provided them with two different numbers and they could not get through. I just would not recommend this hotel to my friends and family. They need to lower the rates of this hotel because they are not worth the hotel stay. The pictures advertised are false. I feel sorry for the workers, but it’s not their fault.

Room in bad shape and dated. Tables have cigarette burns, couch had a fist sized hole, rug had a hole. Security door lock had screws missing and was hanging by 1 screw that was over half way out. Cost is way too high at $166 per night. Would never recommend

First thing is the smell as you walk in, smells like a sewer backed up! The room is disgusting, feet were sticky from floor so left shoes on! The room smells like rotten feet. The furniture is falling apart garbage. Then there was the chair in the room, stains all over and s**t stains on it! No offer for room switch when front desk was informed.
DO NO STAY HERE!!!! Better places for same price!!!!

Hotel is somewhat older but the rooms appeared clean and kept up. There weren’t any pens, paper or advertising in the drawers in the room, which would have been helpful . Staff were friendly and attentive. Rooms quite quiet. Was there three nights. Front entrance was clean and nice carpeting throughout a spacious lobby. Restaurant was reasonably priced. Food good. I’d stay here again.

Regular meeting. A popular place for holding meetings and gatherings, apparently, giving the number of events. In the restaurant for a meeting, and the all day breakfast is a popular choice. Eggs are easy and rarely done wrong…

1 star is generous. Very old, dated and dirty hotel. I’m surprised it’s still open. There’s a homeless person living under the tree outside the hotel. Atrium area closed off and completely run down. Furniture very old and dirty. Hotel needs a major renovation or to be torn down! Just gross!

Seasonal event. Lots of other seasonal events occurring. All disabled parking full. Larger parking lot.
Seasonal buffet. Turkey. Great flavour. Go for seconds, or thirds to the buffet if one wants, or are able.

no LRT runs from the hotel, my error yesterday in my answer a taxi would be approx. $15 each way, uber is normally around $10 each way. you can get public transit as the bus stops across the road, but you need to do approx. 2 transfers and is complicated.
I think noon but irs not always open 7days a week demands how busy the hotel is so call ahead to find out across the street is another hotel within walking distance called the Chateau lacombe and always Open
There are more places to choose from in the Edmonton area.
