The hotel's prime location allows for convenient access to local attractions, with many visitors appreciating the added perks like complimentary yoga. Stunning hotel that is a sanctuary in the jungle just on the very edge of Tulum Town.

We found the location excellent, just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the town, but close enough to walk or cycle to the heart of Tulum town for great restaurants, street food, breakfast cafes etc.

Yes the hotel is down a short dirt track, but you will quickly learn that a lot of Tulum is like this…some of the best hotels, cenotes are the same.

Rooms are heavenly, huge glass windows, outside rainfall showers and designed so each is in complete privacy.

We loved our time here.

We would definitely recommend staying in town as well as beach to really experience Tulum. We did 7 nights in this hotel and ate somewhere different for breakfast and dinner and still had things on our list we didn’t manage to do.

The hotel arranged bike hire for us for the 7 days (around £65 each for the week) which we loved. Tulum is a cycling city. Lots of cycle paths and drivers are very courteous.

Either waking or cycling, day or night, we never felt uneasy.

My best friend and I had the most wonderful girls trip here at Hotel Muaré. Everything on this property looks and feels like absolute luxury. It’s very rare that a place is even better than the photos. And to top it all off, the staff are incredible. Everyone was so kind to us and there is such an attention to detail that takes it to a level beyond.

The open air restaurant is beautiful and intimate, with such a gorgeous evening view of the pool and lush greenery. Sit out on the tiered pillows for nighttime cocktails. We loved doing the 3 course brunch on Sunday morning.

The front desk is so accommodating. There is always someone there to help you with whatever you need. They called us taxis whenever we left, and when we were in town and did not want to walk to find a taxi, we could message them on WhatsApp and they would send one to our location.

The room has the perfect aesthetic and the covered outdoor shower is to die for. If leaves get into your plunge pool, you can message them on whatsapp and someone will come and clean it up. You can also order room service on whatsapp, so convenient.

We also felt incredibly safe and well taken care of here. Such an important factor as two younger women traveling.

Can not recommend it enough! A special thank you to José, Mila, Valentina, and Nicholas for making our trip so remarkable.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful with so much space to sit by the pool and the morning free yoga is wonderful. I would stay again!

They seem like a young property and have a few things to iron out; my suggestions for them: just buy the black makeup towels like other hotels do and don't lecture your female guests three times when they check in about not washing off makeup with the white towels; get shower doors that lock (someone could easily jump that wall) and seal the edge of the shower door against the wall to keep out some of the bugs. Maybe just switch breakfast to a buffet ("breakfast included" but then they charge extra if you want an egg on chilaquiles which is such a standard dish, some mornings they didn't know how to do iced coffee, etc.). Honestly though these are minor issues and I will recommend it to people.

We spent six nights at Maure Hotel for our tenth anniversary. The hotel is meticulously designed to reflect a luxurious ambiance in line with Tulum's trendy growth. Every corner offers a picture opportunity. The luxury
vibe has not compromised the tranquility and relaxing expectations that bring travelers to Tulum. The best part of our stay was being taken care of by friendly, hospitable, and considerate staff from the very beginning at the reception to the restaurant, bar, room service, and cleaning crew. We are thankful!

A few tips: rent a car in Cancun or be ready to feel irritated by taxi drivers that charge you NYC fares (or maybe more). Ask the front desk to hire a scooter or an ATV. It's fun and saves you money for visiting beaches. Cenotes are the unique experience of visiting Tulum. Book a tour and enjoy.

This hotel was incredible, it’s beautiful. Adults only. The food was amazing, available from 8:30-10:30. The staff are some of the nicest people I think I’ve ever met. It’s a small resort so the pool is never a mob scene, you don’t need to be on top of strangers while your trying to relax outside. The grounds are stunning. The room was gorgeous. The concierge books yours taxis which come almost immediately. Drinks at the hotel are basically american prices but we were surprised by that. Our flight landed at 3am so by the time we got to Tulum we were allowed to hang by the pool and get lunch until our room was ready. 10/10 highly recommend

Muaré definitely feels like a world of its own once you enter the property. Although it's far from the beach, it feels like its own paradise. The surroundings are very quiet and peaceful and the impressive aesthetics in the decor and design are a perfect combination to make it an oasis in the hot Mayan Riviera.

The service is excellent. The reception staff is always in touch through WhatsApp for whatever you need whenever you need it. Security staff ensures the property is safe 24 hours. The restaurant and bar is a great experience. The cherry on top is how well the property is maintained on a daily basis - there are cleaning staff picking up leaves and curating the vegetation on the property every day. This whole operation works together to create a very unique experience.

The beds, food, room, shower, pools, washrooms, furniture, etc are all excellent quality.

The design of the property also gives you a lot of privacy, despite the small space. It is very well thought out and implemented.

Special shoutout to Josafina, Monste, and Benjamin who ensured we had everything we needed at all times from the front desk.

We loved our stay at Muare. There's a great vibe here and the staff is more than accommodating. They go above and beyond to help you with amy possible arrangements you need. Henrick was always ready to give advice and got us the perfect service to bring over an ATV.. The enture property is kept impeccably clean and provides everything you need to relax. Yoga, soa, and your own pool. Towels are always readily available. The food was great. We had some delicious truffle fries and they gave us yummy smoothies as a gift for our anniversary. I wasn't a fan of the veggie burger but I found the vegan food in all of Tulum not to my liking. So not the resorts fault. The resort has a noise clause that I appreciate, I sleep early. The music the play throughout the grounds is nice but sometimes has a louder bump at night than I personally prefer. The room is absolutely stunning and decorated to perfection. I do recommend a brighter light over the sink and stepping stones from the pool to shower. But we LOVED our room and couldn't have slept better. Great bed, pillows and linens!! Highly recommend you stay here!

I had a great experience here. Staff was friendly, hotel was clean and very nice. Luxurious private rooms with personal pool and outdoor showers with a beautiful view. The pool area was gorgeous at night and they had a nice spa area and morning yoga for about $8 usd. I ordered room service by messaging them via what’s app and the avocado toast and artichoke salad was absolutely divine. They had the best guacamole out of all the restaurants we went to. They greet you with a nice refreshing welcome drink and remember your special Occassions and are very friendly and helpful throughout the whole stay. The roads surrounding are quite bumpy, but it’s secluded in the jungle so that’s expected. I highly recommend you rent an ATV or scooter during your stay. The bicycle will be too tiring and a car will be too much traffic. After riding bicycles the 1st day, we rented ATVs for the remainder of our stay and they had an area at the hotel to park them with no problem. I highly recommend staying here your first visit to Tulum. It’s not too cheap or too expensive, but perfect pricing for great quality and wonderful staff!

Shantel B wrote a review Feb 2024
I have so many thoughts on this place. We came for our honeymoon and I picked this place because of the pictures and reviews the hotel had. I also thought because it was a 5-star hotel we woulda been treated as that for our honeymoon. As our honeymoon got closer I kept reading the reviews and got nervous bc the hotel went from a 4.8 to a 4.5 in just a couple months and the reviews were saying service is not great. We experienced this. Brian and a gentleman at the bar were very nice and accommodating but no one ever came up to you asking if you needed something. You always had to ask.

When we arrived it’s not in the best part of tulum it’s more in the city which I knew but the roads to get to this hotel is awful so it makes coming and going not so fun. You can’t even find a taxi leaving but the hotel will call one for you.

During our whole trip there was construction noises happening. This is not the hotels fault but they never did anything nice to make up for that. Again going back to the 5 star experience we just didn’t feel that in any way. This hotel should be 3 stars. I’ve had better experiences at a holiday inn express with service LOL.

When we arrived there was no mention or anything about our honeymoon. I had to ask to get some sort of cake to be delivered just to make our experience feel good.

Our room was nice and I did enjoy the room but the plunge pool outside was dirty when we got there so you would think they would clean it before. Some of their day beds and towels have stains which is not great to look at because again 5 star hotel. The amenities offered were very basic and if none. We had to ask to see a tour. They don’t do anything extra for fun or to make guests feel special

The breakfast is delicious and the drinks we had one night were great.

Whoever the blonde girl at the front desk is just rude and does not appear friendly whatsoever. One morning we had texted the night before that our excursion was before breakfast time and if we can get a to go bag or box. They had told us yes so when we came down to get it. The blonde hair girl was very rude about it and said we don’t do that but didn’t offer anything just a no. I had to show her the texts as proof and she was shocked but still didn’t do anything to help us out. All we wanted was like a banana or toast to go. Even the yoga instructor told us we can go to the spa and use their cold plunge for free after yoga but when we told the blonde hair girl she looked at us like we were crazy. She needs to learn better customer service skills and this is a 5 star resort and should accommodate guests as so.

I’m sad because I wanted a better experience for us and we tried to make it good with our energy and leaving the hotel everyday but I think hotels on the beach of tulum is the way to go!!

This hotel can be GREAT if they fix there service and not service as bar/food but actual amenities offered and experiences and friendly front desk staff.
