Beautiful property, comfortable beds, limited kitchen in our unit. Housekeeping staff was lovely but did not know how to clean dishes properly in a dishwasher. The beach was also beautiful but a bit rocky in the water. But it's a great place to go with young family members as there are several very shallow pools and the beach itself is fun. Although we visited several casual restaurants due to having kids with us, I was still a bit disappointed by the quality of the food, especially considering the high prices. But I would return. Just beware of the water park during thunderstorms.

The hotel is beautiful and impeccably maintained. The service was 2nd to none. The staff throughout the hotel - front desk, pool, bars and restaurants consistently went above and beyond. They were at 40% capacity when we were there but it felt like less. There are two pools that are exclusively for Rosewood guests. The one we used everyday rarely had more than 12-14 guests at it.
We stayed in an Ocean View King. The room was big and the bed was super comfortable. There was plenty of closet and storage space. The bathroom was also big and well appointed. Bath towels were a good size, a plus, and the make up mirror was not attached to the wall so could be moved to the main room which was also a plus for me. The only "con" in the room was the hand held shower attachment which was not adjustable so sprayed directly at my face. We had an issue with the toilet one day and someone was there within 5 minutes to fix it.
The hotel was perfect for my husband and I and will be our go to in the Bahamas. When we travel with our kids, all in their early 20's, we would probably stay at one of the other hotels as the Rosewood would be too serene for them. For us it was perfect.

My husband and I along with our golden retriever puppy, Kloï recently returned from a 2 week stay. We booked the premiere ocean front 1 bedroom suite which exceeded expectations. The room was very comfortable, beautifully outfitted, and spacious. It came with 3 butlers (Dianna, Tariel, and Eugene) who took excellent care of us. Dianna even opened up a gelato spot to get gelato for our pup one night after she realized it had closed. We have had butlers before but the service here was outstanding. They made every reservation for dinner, checked in (in person) multiple times a day, coordinated housekeeping to visit when we were out of the room, organized transport to any excursions, escorted us to restaurants. They were amazing.
Our only complaint about Baha Mar was the cost of food. The restaurants and pool side dining were very expensive and we come from NYC and frequently travel to the Caribbean. A lunch with two margaritas, 1 pina colada, 2 quesadillas, 2 tacos, guacamole, and a sparkling water approached $365 at the pool. Breakfast (which was included in my rate) everyday was about $125 for two people. With that said, we expected food to be a little expensive considering this is a 5* property.
Aside from the cost of food, the resort was excellent. VERY covid safe as well. I have traveled to St Lucia and DR during this pandemic and the Bahamas was incredibly safe. The resort exceeded our expectations for style, service, and comfort. They were incredibly pet friendly to our pup. Made us feel at home. Will DEF return when in the Bahamas. I would not stay anywhere else.

Never been more disappointed in a vacation. We are staying in a very expensive premium room with no hot or clean water. This has been going on for 2 days. The management says they are working on it. They cannot give us a room with hot water and cannot guarantee that the cold water is even clean. Several guests have no running water at all.
They are currently welcoming new guests without telling them that their rooms do not have hot water or no water at all. These guests have prepaid for these rooms. Rosewood needs to handle this problem better. I understand that they have no control over the utility/water department, but they do have control over guest hospitality. At least let guests know upfront that their rooms have no hot water or worse-no water at all-before paying and checking into a 5 star hotel. Running water is a pretty big deal and expected. Hopefully this issue is resolved soon.

The Rosewood Baha Mar is a gorgeous resort with a beautiful backdrop of the Bahamas Beach. We are a family of four with two children (8 and 4) We were greeted by a warm gentleman at theThe welcome lounge at the airport. Upon arriving at the property, Ash “the pirate” from the explorers kids club welcomed our children with goodies and a scavenger hunt. They were super excited to check out the property and kids club. The front desk manager, Eugeneal went above and beyond to get us an upgraded room and make sure we were situated comfortably. The rest of the front desk staff seemed morose, at best and while they technically accomplished their tasks, there was no excitement or warmth as one would expect at this level of property. We weren’t offered a tour, map or any other introduction to the resort. We were sent to two different restaurants, on property, to grab a bite while our rooms were being cleaned, both of which were closed. We expected the staff to know the timings of their restaurants. The service at baha mar as a whole was slower than what we are accustomed to but once we adjusted our expectations we were pleased with the service. The kids club was great! Both our kids loved it and it was a welcome break from the intense sun during the day. The manager of explorers was very warm and our children got excited to see any of the kids club employees around the resort during the day. We had a very rude encounter at 25 North where security created a scene and essentially removed us (along with our children) because we brought a bottle of champagne. At the other properties in baha mar, we were simply charged a $50 corkage fee which is what we expected at 25 north, as well. The way we were spoken to there was beyond rude and embarrassing. We traveled with another family and as a result needed reservations for 7 people nightly. We ended up with later reservations (830-930pm) because we didn’t realize the restaurants would be so busy. Melam, Filio, Carna, katsuya and Costa had fabulous food with good service. Shuang ba had great service but the meal was mediocre. Expect to pay an arm and a leg for everything! A glass of veuve was $42 before service and vat taxes! Dinners were overpriced but seemed to be the theme for the larger baha mar property. Swimming pig was the hidden jewel For families with young kids. They had kid friendly food at very reasonable prices. Kevin was the best server we had over the entire week! Michael, at the pool was attentive to our needs and hustled. Wish we had met him earlier during our stay! All in all we had a lovely vacation with great friends and while we still love the rosewood brand I don’t think we will revisit this particular property.

The hotel offers a great place to relax and refresh yourself from what is a crazy world right now. The appointments could best be described as understated elegance and not focused on creating a WOW visual factor but extremely nice and comfortable. We found the service in the hotel and several of the restaurants to be very high quality and professional. If you can spring for the extra money to get a room with Butler service, I would highly recommend it. The team that took care of us was Lee, Tariel, Eugene and Dianna and I would highly recommend that you request them if you decide to go this route. Since it was our first trip to this location, they handled everything prior to our arrival (reservations at all of the venues we wanted) , escorted us to the various location to make sure we did not waste time attempting to locate things and made sure that everything we needed was handled including pressing selected clothing. We will absolutely return to enjoy this location.
Everything was executed with professionalism and some of the best service levels we have ever experienced.

We had a fabulous time at the Rosewood Baha Mar and the resort has become one of our favorite destination spots. This was our third stay here and fourth at the Baha Mar. We were cautious on picking a vacation spot due to Covid, but we clearly made the right decision. We had top notch service and the best time yet. Starting with our car service to the hotel, we were surprised to be driven in a Tesla X which was a novelty in of itself. We were greeted by Sheniqua and Luigi as well as introduced to our butlers, Chrissy and Corey, upon arrival. We then were escorted to get our rapid tests, which you will not get the keys to your room till you pass the test. Once at our room, we reviewed our expectations and needs with Chrissy and Corey. They were great and followed through on every ask as well as easy to communicate with. Everything in the room was kept clean and in good working order. The beds are comfy and rooms are very modern. We could not ask for more. We always felt safe on property and there is hand sanitizer everywhere. Pool staff remember your names, were attentive and made you feel welcome. Staff came around the pool area with different treats each day which may include a cold hand towel, sky juice or another mix cocktail, mix fruit on a stick or something else. It was very relaxing and enjoyable time. Our restaurant favorites of this stay included Café Boulud, Costa, Cleo, Carne and Swimming Pig to name just a few. We did not have dinner at the Pizza Lab, but they have a great breakfast if you need a change from Café Boulud’s. A couple of tips for you, note that room service or Pizza Lab’s breakfast comes with toast. Also, bring your mobile device with your favorite TV apps (ie Netflix) as you can now stream to the room TVs. We had fun at the casino and checked out the resorts Mini Blue Sports Area where they now offer a neat mini golf course. We will be coming back.

Just got home yesterday and had a lot to think about on the flight back to the states. My wife and I had mixed reviews on the stay, but the best way to sum it up is this.
Rosewood is a beautiful hotel with nice grounds and set-up.
The day we arrived, everything was great, staff was attentive and welcoming, but after a couple of days that all changed. I think the front desk people should be the face of your hotel and be friendly to all they deal with. About half the time we spoke with someone at the front desk they seemed like we were inconveniencing them. Forget about calling from the room because two of the three times we did call the phone was busy…and busy…and busy. It was easier to get someone in person then calling on the phone.
Asked for a late check out and it was not available which was ok. They said that they would have a room that we could use to shower and change if needed. On the day of check out and spent a better part of the day in town before our flights. Went to the desk after we get back to the hotel and there was no rooms available to shower or change. They instead directed us to use the bathroom in the lobby. No apologies, no reasons, and they made it seem like I made this statement up.
The resort was very expensive and definitely not worth the cost. I’ve stayed at other hotels where the service is top notch and you feel like you are a true customer. I know now, I’d rather have stayed at the SLS or Hyatt as you’d expect decent service and you are paying a fraction of the cost.
Restaurants: Portions are tiny and the food is just ok. Costa is probably the worst of the restaurants on site with small portions and unauthentic Latin food.
Did I mention the water main break that shut down any type of water flow for 12-16 hours? No showers, toilets and anything else water related. Toilets in rooms were unflushable because we were not told about the water issue and the bathrooms in the lobby were disgustingly full. How did they make things better…they didn’t. No mention of the issue at all. Water bottles became available shortly before the water came back on. Pools and beaches were packed as everyone was using those amenities for baths and showers.
I guess when you have an expensive hotel and people keep going, you don’t really need to change anything.

This was my second time to stay at this hotel. The first time was awful as far as service lacking but they have done a 180! They anticipated our moves before asking such as cleaning our sunglasses as soon as we got them out and moving umbrellas outside by the pool, filling water so we constantly have cold water, house keeping remembered to come back this time, food did not take too long to get once ordered along with drinks. It was up to Rosewood standards and I felt like I was staying at a Rosewood. Keep up the great work!

Rosewood Hotels are great around the globe, and the one at Baha Mar in the Bahamas is no exception. The staff is amazingly helpful and courteous, the rooms / suites are well appointed (with great balconies overlooking the pools) and the library / bar is a great place to share a drink with friends / couples. I'm not a casino person, but Rosewood is 'connected' without you feeling that you are at a casino property. You don't get that smoky feeling at all. Rosewood is also the luxury part of Baha Mar, with a private beach (other Baha Mar residents are not allowed unless staying at Rosewood). This is an elegant getaway - plan to come here!

Cabanas are always private and comfy; however, re Rosewood, reserving umbrellas and lounge chairs are never an issue especially if you reserve with a pool attendant early morning. Not a problem if you do your morning ritual, your chairs will be there for you. The pool attendants, servers and beach staff at Rosewood are exceptional just like the front desk, bartenders and housekeepers. Rosewood is the only way to go! Enjoy!!

Hi, my apologies for the delayed response. Hope you enjoyed the Rosewood and noticed no strict dress codes at the resort. I’m returning from my third Baha Mar vacation. The Rosewood never disappoints my daughter and I.
