I started my Blackbeard's liveaboard cruise here. The pool area is very nice. The public restroom and shower is really welcome after 6 days at sea with minimal shower water. The staff is very helpful. I do not know about the rooms because I didn't stay here.

Do not expect too much from the hotel, it is right in the middle of being refurbished. We spent a couple of nights there after a week at sea. The marina is convenient for the supermarket and other stores, and the pool is very welcome on a hot day. Very handy for laundry and other essentials but best of staying on the boat rather than in the hotel. The restaurant is adequate, although better places are available in the town just a short walk or taxi ride away - depending on what you are after. Cost is fair compared to other marinas (everything in Nassau is massively expensive), so you are better on a mooring once all your essentials are dealt with, where it can be cooler in the prevailing South-Easterly breeze.

Whenever we visit Nassau by boat, we always stay at the Nassau Harbour Club. The is a great grocery store across the street, just past Starbucks. Peter is extremely helpful and the staff is great. We will return there again soon.

DO NOT STAY IN THE HOTEL ROOMS. Discovered at midnight that our room was infested with bed bugs. They were every where. And when we got security we were asked to “stay there tonight and we will deal with it in the morning”. No chance. We were left without a place to sleep at midnight with staff who only cared enough to get us to stop bothering them. We asked to speak with management in the morning and they never showed up. Everything about the staffs demeanor suggested they were going to do nothing to rectify the issue and they just wanted us out of their hair. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra $30 to stay somewhere with standards. It’s not worth it.

We stayed on the Blackbeard Sea Explorer Liveaboard. We were supposed to travel to Eleuthera, however, engine problems dictated that we spent the entire week moored at the marina. Having nice, warm showers and clean toilets was a luxury. The pool is small, but refreshing. We were able to store suitcases in a secured room.

Stayed 1 night after a weeklong stay on a sailboat. The cramped sailboat was much better than the room. There were a few flies in the room and the room stank of must. The water pressure was super low, the shower head let out even less water. The toilet would almost never flush anything not liquid and took forever to fill. We had to slowly fill the bathroom garbage pail with water from the tub to even get a flush in less than 30 minutes.
The TV was possessed, turning on and off randomly. The pool area is nice, but the rest of the outside area looked like a construction zone, but no-one was ever working on it.

The Harbour Club certainly is not fancy, but old world Bahamian located away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Nassau and right on the east harbour. I have been there many times, both by boat and as a hotel guest and I have seen many changes through the years (many years). It is charming, but if you want fancy go elsewhere. I was last there in April 2003 and some nice changes had taken place since my previous stop in. The restaurant above was reopened & even included fresh sushi. Downstairs, the once-named Cuda Bay Bar has now reopened for drinks & food including breakfast. The rooms are clean, but basic and the staff does a good job taking care of your needs. Peter, the harbor master & hotel master is about the nicest, most accommodating chap you will ever find. He is busy & that is because the place is popular, but not over crowded. Martha is the head of housekeeping and she is wonderful. Theresa in the office knows her stuff. Captain Ed & his staff accommodate incoming sailing & motor yachts with professionalism. There is an onsite laundry available after hotel needs are taken care of. The swimming pool is quite clean & refreshing on hot days. Lots of room for sunbathing in a quiet setting with tropical trees, plants and bushes around poolside. There is a shopping center right across the street complete with grocery store, liquor store, hardware store, clothing stores, eye vision center, coffee shop, Dairy Queen, etc., Internet availability and drug store. A great place for boaters to provision and it is like shopping at home where you are not competing with loud, big crowds that you would find downtown Nassau. If you want to eat elsewhere other than the Harbour Club's restaurant, you can walk east to Bay Villa for Chinese (very nice) or west to the Poop Deck (Bahamian & excellent fresh fish) in Yacht Haven. Mr. Moss has a Harbour Club on-site taxi service if you need transportation downtown Nassau, to Paradise Island, Cable Beach or the airport. Security is excellent. There is a wall separating the Harbour Club from the street and the only entrance is locked during night hours. There is someone in attendance all night at the door to let you in should a guest arrive late. The grounds and marina have security guards all night long. The view is very nice across the harbour looking at Paradise Island. If you want all-inclusive, or fancy schmancy, then go book a room in Atlantis. But, remember, you can stay at the Harbour Club and take a cab to Atlantis for the day (or, if you are into exercise, you can walk from the Harbour Club, across the bridge to Paradise Island and back (during the day). I will return to the Harbour Club (soon).

Terrible service, dingy rooms and facilities which would cause a roach to scoff make this dive the worst resort/slum on the Island. Not worth staying at even if they paid you to stay in the hotel.

I stayed the night of Friday, March 9th prior to a cruise with Blackbeard's. They were nice folks in the office and the beds were clean and comfortable to sleep in. Not luxury accommodations, but so convenient for Blackbeard's that I would definitely stay there again. Grocery store and restaurants are within easy walking distance; so it worked out perfectly for my needs---I probably wouldn't want to stay for a week, but a couple nights would be fine.

So I'm not going to hate on this place, it serves a very valid and valuable service. But it is NOT a particularly "nice" place to stay.

I've actually stayed here twice - once in February of 2014 and once in March of 2013. Same experience both times. The main thing it has going for it is proximity to the marina. If you are going out on a trip with Blackbeard's Cruises (or the Cat P'palu which they also operate) you are just a few steps from the dock. If you are arriving by boat and want a cheap bed with a hot shower, and access to a coin laundry - you might like this place. Particularly if budget is your primary concern. Trip Advisor is not currently listing prices for this hotel at the time of this writing, so I can tell you that when I arranged a room in advance last year, I paid $100 for the night. It was a simple room with double beds, shower, and air conditioning. The sheets were clean and the beds were unremarkable. The room itself was large and pretty spacious, the floors are tile - not carpet.

This year, I got a room here at the end of our Blackbeard's Cruise and I was happy to have a real bed and unlimited, hot freshwater showers.

As a walk-up without a reservation, I paid $91 before tax for the room. This room was almost the same as the one I got last year but in worse shape - these rooms are old and in serious need of maintenance - the bathroom had no cold water in the sink, the hot tap was the only one that worked. The water pressure in the shower was also extremely low. There was a huge walk-in closet, but not a single clothes hanger to hang my clothes on. The mattress was hard and pretty uncomfortable for sleeping, but my companion had no problem sleeping well on it. I didn't sleep well on it at all.

No phones, no internet, but basic cable on a flat-screen TV is provided. Also a coin laundry is available on the ground floor.

This is a serious no-frills kind of room. If you just want a convenient and cheap place to sleep, you will be fine here. If you are accustomed to more comfort, you might not appreciate the place.

If you have just spent a week on a live-aboard dive boat, sleeping on a 3-inch thick pad in rocking boat with a stinky marine head next door that you can smell in your berth, and have been limited to taking 30-second fresh water showers - this place feels like the Ritz-Carlton!

Hi, Could you please indicate what kind of bugs are you saying that they had?
Answer from Logan

It is open air seating and not screened off. So it's just flys and outside bugs flying around, nothing to do with the kitchen.
