Fabulously appointed with full kitchens for making your frozen drink or a great family meal, fully screened balconies and patios with great dining and lounging furniture on each... overlook famous Seven Mile Beach for those incredible Cayman sunsets... or your morning coffee and a quiet start to the day. We have four oceanfront BBQ grills with plenty of comfortable dining areas and lounging sofas by the pool area. The hot tub and pool overlook the ocean. Our expansive white powder beach has many beach umbrellas and beach huts for shade, plenty of loungers and chairs for you to relax on for a great day outdoors. Our gym is newly outfitted and is fully equipped with the best equipment and offers television and free WIFI. Underground parking, with elevators to each floor. Most villas have free overseas phone service. Free Wi-Fi access in each villa and on the beach and gym. There are many fine restaurants within easy walking distance, as well as liquor store, duty free shopping, and fine day spas. Golf and tennis are also close by. The Meridian is an amazing place to stay on SMB in Cayman. We loved everything about it. We stayed in Villa 28 and it was very nice and comfortable. Front room furniture was nice, the beds were so comfy (best sleep I’ve gotten in a long time), and the bathrooms felt resort like. My daughter loved the pool but the crystal clear ocean was the place for me. I really liked how you could be in the pool but were still close to the beach and ocean. There was plenty of chairs and umbrellas at both the pool and beach. No need to put out towels in the morning. They have grills which was nice for cooking in the evening and relaxing by the pool. We also loved that we were in a condo but still had housekeeping every day (besides Sunday) to clean up sand on the floors and make the beds. All the staff is friendly and always helpful. We can’t wait to come back to the Meridian!!!

We have been visiting the Cayman Islands since 1998, and staying at The Meridian since 2007. The Meridian's units and beach/pool areas are well maintained and very well equipped for a family stay. The furnishings are updated regularly and from the locally created bath soaps to the modern updated appliances, all of the amenities present are well above industry standard. The staff here are the best. Lee and her management team (Pat and Nora) do an amazing job making us feel at home and ensuring our stay is comfortable and enjoyable. We travel with our disabled adult son, and when in Grand Cayman, there is no where else we would stay. We are already planning for our next trip back to The Meridian. This is a top-notch and well managed property that I highly recommend.

Our winters in Cayman have only been made more enjoyable by staying at The Meridian. We come and go for weeks away from the cold north, returning to any unit available and have never been disappointed. The management and staff are perfection, caring for our every need...morning noon and night. The grounds are impeccable, units are spotless and fully stocked with any entertaining amenities we might have. We are safe and cared for as we enjoy every nightly sunset from the beautiful property... sand or balcony! We cannot wait to return and thank the staff for making us always feel so special!! We have been coming to Grand Cayman off and on for 38 years and have never had rude and inept service from the office staff until now. Our issues began before we came to the Meridian. We signed a contract in February 2022 for a reservation for 3 weeks for a specific 2 bedroom condo on the 5th floor in Jan/Feb 2023. In October, we were sent another contract for a different unit with 3 bedrooms on a lower floor and a higher price with an email to sign it and return in 48 hours with no further explanation. We told them we already had a signed contract for another unit. They said that unit was booked. We asked what happened and they said that they didn’t know. We asked them to call us and they never did. Eventually, they agreed to give us the unit at the price of the other unit but said they would lock one of the bedrooms and we were given a choice of which ones we wanted locked. They said the owner overbooked the other unit. There was no apology. The unit we were supposed to be in said they had free calling to US and this unit we got on a lower floor did not. When we arrived, the condo had a broken shades and several other things. There were also very sensitive water detectors in bathrooms which no one mentioned to us. These shut off the water 3 times while we were there and twice we had to call service to fix. The guest bath had water damage. The beach was not nearly as nicely maintained as other places we have stayed. There were people who that sat in the middle of the beach for hours and smoked cigars and cigarettes that blew smoke on half the beach. Before we checked out, I asked if there was a place that we could store our luggage because checkout was at 11 and our flight was at 6, they said I could put it in the gym which was not secure. The icing on the cake came when we checked out and Pat suggested we should have booked and paid for another night to store our luggage or we could have gone to the Yacht club for the day (which she did not mention when we requested storage!). This was a $29,000+ stay and we were treated like we were at a Motel 6. Every other place we have stayed, we became friendly with those managing the property and repeated our stays. We only moved when their beaches were impacted had storm damage. Needless to say, we will not be staying there again!

You were in villa 12 which is a larger villa than the two bedroom villa. Villa 12 is one of our most popular villas with stunning, oceanfront views. It is a three bedroom villa. You all signed the change form (same rate) and returned the form to us in September 2022. Aside from all this, on the signed contract it does say villa changes can happen without notice. The water issue (you had two incidents which were remidied within 10 minutes by onsite staff) - once we showed you how to work the system that protects the villa from flooding, there were no more issues. Your 6pm flight on departure day... Our policy is check out is 11am, you informed the staff on your departure day that you had a 6pm flight... the villa had to be ready for the new incoming guests at check in time- just as it was for you when you checked in. I am so sorry you were angry that 11 am was check out, but that is the policy, and its on the form you signed and sent to us. Also, we found no evidence that anything was broken when you checked into the villa, nor are there leaks in the bathrooms, as per our policy, the villas are thouroughly checked and cleaned, and we see no evidence of leaks or anything broken Finally as for the beach- this is a first ever- we have a fabulous beach which is cleaned daily and motor raked once a month, so no, our beach is fabulous!!

Just an amazing experience in every aspect. The property, beach, and location are the best on 7 mile beach. The condo was fantastic and fully updated, included all amenities, appliances, etc that you could ever need. Daily housekeeping is available. The pool and beach area are immaculate and peaceful. For reference, we walked miles on the beach and observed the Ritz Carlton, Westin, etc with hundreds of people packed onto the beach like sardines. Our beach never had more than 10-20 guests at a time and front row beach chairs were available 24/7. It felt like a private beach. The best part was the staff. We had a request that I would not expect to be fulfilled at any property and they gladly accommodated us. The staff are so friendly and hospital. Thank you so much to Pat and everyone else working the front desk area. We will be back and we would never stay anywhere else.

We stayed in the beautifully appointed (and completely updated) Villa #22. This is our 5th return visit enjoying The Meridian, SMB, and the surrounding island life. I have written reviews in the past, praising the people who own the unit (2 of my favorite people… Kind, intelligent, fun, and, most of all, on top of their game), the accommodations with an exceptional view of the beach and pool, and the perfect location! None of that has changed. I just want to recognize the office and grounds staff. They are friendly, dedicated, hard-working, knowledgeable about the area, and people I am glad to have met. One person, in particular, deserves mention… Pat! Thank you, Pat, not only for your professionalism when friends came looking for my husband and me, but you went the extra mile both by getting their hotel number for me and, when I mentioned I was disappointed that I had hoped to replace my Meridian coffee mug that I had broken but didn’t see any for sale any more, you found one for me! Just returned from a stay in villa 17. This is a great location, the grounds are beautiful and well maintained, quiet and uncrowded and the villa was perfect. The villas are cleaned daily, with fresh towels, which is a nice service. There are plenty of loungers at the beach and pool at all times of day. The building is in a good location - there are several restaurants in walking distance. The beach is beautiful and the pool and hot tub are clean and nice. Communication prior to arrival and during our stay was prompt. We had a service issue on a Saturday afternoon and it was fixed within a couple hours. We would definitely stay again and would recommend the Meridian to others without reservation.

The Meridian is fantastic. We have stayed at several hotels and condo’s over the years of our many visits to the island. It is in a superb location close to the new grocery store, great restaurants and shopping. The beach front is gorgeous and far enough away from the hordes of cruise ship visitors. No rushing outside to get a chaise, there are plenty in the sun and plenty in the shade. Three BBQ’s and a pool. The staff is friendly and helpful and the place is kept very clean. There is a small gym if you can tear yourself away from the view from your room, all oceanfront. We stayed in unit 24. There is no bad units they are all facing the ocean. Highly recommend this place.

We just got back from another amazing stay at The Meridian. We found this place a couple years ago and won't stay anywhere else. The people, Pat & Lee in the office are A+++. Communication is great before, during and after our stays. And, the villas are really nice. I've stayed in several. They are clean. The beds are very comfortable-even the sheets are top notch.
I have NO complaints. I will however bring a dark sheet to hang over the window that faces the parking lot as the security lights shine in and light up the room. But, again, with all that's going right at The Meridian...it's nothing that would change my choice of accommodations.

It’s the perfect uncrowded place with a beautiful beach that anyone would want to get in! For example, my grandkids came down with me. They were able to swim just like it was a swimming pool. The condo was like a home away from home with maid service and beach towels. Everything exceeded our expectations! I view it as a better value to an expensive hotel room. I have stayed at the Westin, and they will close down the pool for a wedding or convention. That is how I walked down the beach and rented this place many years ago!

Hi there- I am new at trip advisor, so just saw this- we have 28 large umbrellas (12 foot) on the beach and two large thatch huts on each corner of the beach. There are many shade trees and also 6 pool umbrellas as well as three large loungers with coverings by the pool. :o)
