Posa Posa is at the top of a small mountain overlooking Positano. It is a 4-5 star hotel, it is clean and has a restaurant right in the hotel, staff very friendly and helpful, reasonable price. But what is special are the views and taking the walks everyday and night down the winding road to the beach and pier area of Positano. Go check out La Breeza by the beach. Il Florintina is a restaurant just 20 feet from the hotel on your way down, so friendly great atmosphere and eye popping views that you simply can't get enough of. There are so many great restaurants and shops on the way down with breath taking views. You must get breakfast or lunch at Casa Bottega on your way down Do not take a taxi or bus or the steps they are much harder and not as enjoyable as walking on the road down and the road way is quicker and the views will blow you away!! Positano is a very special place, the views, the people the food the shops will forever be in my heart, You feel as thou you are in a fairytale. You must take a boat cruise charter, book it for 1pm to 7pm and tell them to have drinks on board ready for you, the views of the mountain sides and the different towns you go by are amazing and the ocean swims are refreshing and exhilarating. We did 9 nights in Italy 3 nights in Positano, 3 nights in Revello and 3 nights in Tuscany. If I do it again I would stay 4 nights in Positano and 5 nights in Revello and forget Tuscany, Tuscany is beautiful but its just vineyards not beautiful Italian action you get in Positano! Go to Positano it will be the best vacation you have ever taken.

We had such a wonderful stay at Hotel Posa Posa, just cannot say enough great things about it 🙌🏼 Donato in the restaurant was an absolute joy to be around, every single morning. Anything we asked for was followed by “but of course!!” And he truly made us feel so welcomed and taken care of.. our group has never experienced such hospitality at any hotel stay, Donato truly made us feel right at home. We felt like there was nothing this man wouldn’t do for us- just an angelic human. The food was fresh and delicious, freshly squeezed orange juice, and they knew our preferences so quickly to greet us with preferred beverages as soon as we walked in. Donato was so pleasant and explained a lot to us with excellent recommendations, we were honestly kinda in disbelief at how we were treated so well by this hotel staff. The front desk was kind and accommodating, the room was always spotless, incredible views from our balcony and overall 15/10 everything. I would most definitely stay here again if given the opportunity. If I could pack Doneto into my suitcase and take him home, I would 😍

We stayed 4 nights at Posa Posa last week and had a great stay. The hotel had incredible views and was a great location within 10-30 minute walk to all the great restaurants in Positano. The staff was very helpful and the rooms were nice and clean. The breakfast was also a really nice way to start the day and a beautiful view. The one negative was the pool - it was very small and was dirty to the point that it was unusable. But altogether had a very good stay!

Honestly the best customer service I have ever experienced in my life! The views are everything you want in Positano, breakfast is delicious and so much variety. Donato, the restaurant manager, is an absolute angel! I have never felt so taken care of! He remembered our specific coffee orders, had fresh squeezed juice waiting for us, recommended boat tours and taxi options, and just helped us enjoy our trip in every way. We mentioned that we liked smoked salmon one morning and he made sure the kitchen had some in the back for us from that moment on even though it was not on the menu.
Our room was very clean and the views from the balcony were breath taking. The front desk people were always so kind and welcoming. The hotel is seconds away from awesome restaurants and shops and only a 10 minute walk from the beach. It is also on the main road so you don’t have to drag your suitcase all over the stairs.
HIGHLY recommend hotel posa posa but will never forget how we were treated by Donato. He deserves EVERYTHING good in life.

Leaving Hotel Posa Posa was probably one of the hardest things we had to do on our unforgettable honeymoon trip, mostly because we felt we were leaving behind our newfound family members. Giuglio and Mariateresa were like Nonna’s hug at the front door as soon as we entered the hotel! Our room was picturesque, with views of the Amalfi Coast some artists could never capture with paint or words. The amenities were plentiful, with a delicate Italian touch that was not overdone, but still made you feel so special. Pina, our housekeeper was meticulous. Rino, who oversees the wait staff at the restaurant, genuinely loves what he does and does it with such class and such heart. This hotel has absolutely everything you are looking for among the bustling beauty of Positano. We stayed the longest portion of our itinerary here, yet it still wasn’t enough time… Hotel Posa Posa has not seen the last of us!

Stayed from August 31, 2022 to September 5, 2022. The hotel was great, had good food and staff were very friendly. The staff helped us finding our way around Positano, the bus shuttle routes, how to get tickets for boats to Capri, and with laundry service. We stayed with our 5 year old and we didn't have any problems. There have a great restaurant and within a minute or two walking distance, there are multiple restaurants. I would stay here again.

This hotel is a2 star at best! There is no valet parking. You park at the top of the hill and walk your luggage down to the front door and when you’re finished you marked it back up to the parking place. The parking is anywhere from €40-€70 a day and ridiculous. The rooms are old antiquated not well cared for. The entire extent of our “Terrace“ was 2‘ x 9‘ barely fit in a chair on the terrace. The food was subpar and the lobby looks like it was built in the 1950s with the filth remaining on the furniture there. I would never recommend this to anyone!

I have been eating here at this Hotel restaurant (although I haven’t stayed at the hotel overnight) during Easter Bank Holiday and the experience has been great. Me and my friends have tasted great risotto and very fresh fish dishes. Everything was delicious. The great experience we had was also possible because Rino assisted us in a great way considering that the restaurant was very busy!
Ahh well, not to mention, the view is something amazing!!
We’ll definitely visit back as soon as well go back to Positano

The hotel itself is OK, a bit shabby and run down and, as other have noted a tiny, filthy pool. Our room itself was pleasant, although we were woken before 7 by the furniture being dragged around above.
The reason for my one star is the breakfast, which is not only terrible, but potentially very dangerous. Eggs and bacon are pre cooked and stored in a unit, which is not plugged in, and therefore is an ambient temperature. My husband pointed this out to the staff who shrugged their shoulders. I then witnessed a member of staff adding warm eggs to the cold ones in the dish, I pointed out that this was a food hygiene risk, and again shoulders were shrugged. I went to reception and asked to see a manager, but none was available. I explained the issue to the receptionist, who simply said ‘sorry’! I wasn’t asking them to do anything other than deal with this issue before they make someone seriously ill, or worse. This is absolutely basic food hygiene and I will be reporting it to the authorities as my exchanges with staff have not provided me with any confidence that it will be addressed.

Hotel Posa Posa is a lovely boutique hotel with an amazing view. The staff is very attentive, especially their GM Donato! He was so helpful and even sent us a bottle of champagne to our room for our anniversary. Every room has an incredible view, the included breakfast is delicious and the rooms comfortable and spacious. Many of our hotel rooms in other cities in Italy were much smaller. Considering how expensive Positano is, Posa Posa very reasonable. It is definitely more of a hotel than a resort; the only downfall is the pool isn’t great. However we spent most of our time exploring Positano, taking the ferry to Capri, renting a scooter to travel the Amalfi Coast and more. We were so busy enjoying this beautiful town that we didn’t really need to lay by the pool anyway.

We pre-booked a taxi transfer through travel republic. Taxis are v v expensive out there. I would imagine getting a train closer then a taxi or bus would be your cheapest option. Sorry not much help. A driver quoted us 100 euro from positano to Sorrento... we got the bus for only a few euros.
Just remember that the road is a one way road and you need to go through Positano to get to Ravello and Amalfi. Have you looked into a boat to take you to Ravello and Amalfi? The views would be amazing. Also, we were in Capri for a day trip in September. So many tourists it was hard to enjoy. We hired a cab for the day which worked out well. We would agree to a time and location and got to see much of the island. Everyone says to stay on Capri for a night because the town empties out.
There are parking lots across from hotel
Not sure of the pricing
Bus stop is in front of the hotel and it Comes every 10-15 minutes
Taxi are very expensive, around 25 euros one way
Avoid driving as roads are narrow , better to hire a car with a driver to take you around
Hope above helps
There are more places to choose from in the Positano area.
