We spent our 9th Anniversary in Papaya Villa and had an a very good time. I have recommended to my close friends and have gotten numerous inquiries from others on my social media from the jaw-dropping, stunning, natural backdrop of the Pitons in our photos from the room. There is a natural breeze chasing off bugs [well at least I never got bothered]. The staff was very welcoming and the room was fully equipped for cooking [if you want to]. Otherwise you are a short drive to the town to enjoy lunch, dinner, drinks and the tours in Soufriere. Thanks Crystals for a wonderful retreat. We will definitely return.

Crystals is an absolute find! We are staying in the Calabash Villa with a king sized bed, a kitchenette, and, best of all, a balcony with a spectacular view of the Pitons. We can spend a whole peaceful day on the balcony because it is shaded by a big Calabash tree.

Breakfast is included and brought to our villa every morning. It is delicious and plentiful. At the front of our villa is a plunge pool and some lounge chairs to soak up the St Lucian sun!

The restaurant is magical; decorated with colourful and beautiful decor from the owners’ many travels to India and Indonesia, it sparkles with fairy lights against the starry St.Lucian night sky.

The most valuable asset at Crystals is Monica, owner and hostess extraordinaire. She knows everyone and ensure that her guests are very well taken care of. Yesterday she organized a boat charter for us through one of her many connections. Absolutely amazing experience in Cleetis’ boat, captained by an obviously-experienced boater and his trusty crew. We motored slowly past the varied geography of St.Lucia, stopping in Rodney Bay and Castries. As an added bonus, Captain Joseph took us to Sugar Beach between the two Pitons where we were able to say Hello to ‘Blaze’ whom we met last year when he made us mouthwatering Pina Coladas on the beach using a generator, fresh fruit and island rum.

Today we will be going to the beach in Soufriere to celebrate St.Lucia’s Independence Day. Apparently a cavalcade of motorcycles will greet us there and then they will bike all the way around the island.

Our only regret is that we won’t be able to make it here annually. But we will be back for sure and will insist on coming back to Crystals!

If you want to relax and escape there is no better place to rejuvenate than Crystals in Soufriere. The location is magical , nestled deep into the rain forest it is a secret place. Owned and operated by the ultimate bohemian Monica Charles this place is special and unique to say the least. Everything in this property has a story to tell, everything is handpicked from the chair you sit on, to the selections of wines to the choice of food. The resort is quiet, the air is fresh , the parrots fly, the and the pitons sit majestically in front of you. This is a place where the spirit is lifted, where the mind wonders and the soul finds inner peace. If you want a place of the beaten track and want to experience a piece of untouched St Lucia then Crystals is the place for you.

Crystal Villas is situated in a stunning location in St. Lucia, offering guests a memorable and immersive experience of the island's natural beauty. The Papaya villa view was amazing as noted in other reviews. The kitchen was stocked with essential items like sugar, coffee, water, tea, and milk, which was a thoughtful touch and made the start of the week convenient. The outdoor show presented by the local wildlife, including frogs, snails, and lizards, added a unique and enchanting aspect to the stay. It is really a cool bathroom and not something I have seen before.
The master bedroom's noise level due to the wildlife might not suit everyone, especially light sleepers. We had trouble getting used to all the wildlife at night and could not sleep well. I am sure for others it will be calming. Additionally, the second bedroom requires a new mattress to enhance the comfort level of the accommodation. The staff at Crystal Villas was exceptional. Bradley, in particular, was instrumental in ensuring guests had a well-planned itinerary, assisting with arrangements for a driver and other activities. The daily breakfast was delightful, and the overall service was warm and welcoming. The gentleman who cleans the pool each day is an amazing person and I enjoyed chatting with him each morning.
The onsite treetop restaurant provided a magical and memorable dining experience, offering guests a great night out. One consideration for guests is the remote location of the villa. Transport to the beach and town can be costly, with a $60 US taxi ride to the beach and a $40 US ride to the town. Guests should factor this into their budget as it can add up quickly. Crystal Villas St Lucia offers a unique and authentic St. Lucian experience with its stunning location, immersive wildlife, and exceptional staff. While there are some areas for improvement, such as the bedroom comfort, the overall stay was enjoyable and well-suited for families.

Thank you for your very honest review. I'm delighted that you enjoyed your stay overall. We have recently installed double-glazed glass sliding doors in the master bedroom of the Papaya Villa for added comfort, particularly for guests who prefer not to hear the sounds of nature. Additionally, the outdoor bathroom has been updated and now looks amazing. Regarding the mattress, we did not update it as it is only 6 months old. However, we do have special foam toppers available for our beds for those who prefer a softer sleeping surface. I'm sorry to hear that you were not informed about the availability of the foam toppers during your stay. Please note that the taxi fare of US $40 is to go to Soufriere and return to Crystals, not for one-way travel, and this rate is set by the taxi association. Thank you so much for staying with us.

I just went on Trip advisor to post a review on my most recent stay at Crystals Villa Resort. I have been at Crystal's many times and just love the Rustic Chic of the resort. I am a world traveler and have stayed in some of the world's most famous 5* hotels and resorts. I absolutely love this resort, I love everything about it, the Architecture, Ambiance, Decor and the added details. I am a semi retired extremely high end residential Interior Designer, I would never stay in a place that was not up to my standards. I most recently stayed in the Mango Villa on July 24, 2022, after having dinner at Treetops Restaurant on premises. The food and wine list and house champagne are fabulous. I am an exPat living in St. Lucia for the last 13 years, this wonderful resort is where I come to unwind I am known for my exquisite taste and descrimating palate and Crystal's satisfies me in every way. I adore that there are not any signs for Crystal's, so you feel like an insider, knowing which turn to take to enter, the rustic bumpy road is another indication that you will arrive to a verrrrry special place. My road leading to my home is up a bumpy unpaved road and I live in a beautiful seaview home. On Sunday morning I awakened, showered, and then opened the drapes and was once more in awe of the wonderful view...what a way to wake up, I sat at a rustic picnic table and applied my makeup while breathing in the clean morning air. I went back inside got dressed and very short while after, there was a knock on the door and a beautifully presented and delicious healthy breakfast was served. I always get sad when I know I have to get back to reality and make the drive home and begin my hectic week...but I can tackle anything due to the restful elegant staycation I just experienced. As a world traveler, we stay in all sorts of places that tickle our senses, this resort does just that. The rates are incredibly priced, this is not a 5* hotel but there aren't any stars to describe the experience staying at Crystal's. If you are looking for 5* then you must pay the price and stay at one of them, if you are looking for paradise filled with tastefully designed rustic chic with views that make your jaw drop, incredible service and staff, then follow my lead and book a reservation at Crystal's Villa Resort. I might add, that I just read a review for the same date I was there, I don't understand the night and day review, this reviewer missed the whole point of staying at this resort and I have never seen any of what she has described and I have stayed in several of the villas. My very favorite Villa, is the Lemongrass, but it is fun to stay in the others, each villa has it's own personality.

If you are looking for a getaway from life, even just temporarily, this is the place. It was luxurious waking to the Pitons outside the window, birdsong, fresh mangoes within arms length. This is a nugget of heaven, affording you a peace of mind a very crucial time. The staff were friendly and extremely accommodating, providing tips which helped enhance the weekend.
The villa was bright, spacious and extremely clean with beautiful white linen on the bed. The mosquitos were a bit of a bother the first evening but the large screens over the bed countered that. The screens were large enough and light enough that you don't feel claustrophobic while you sleep.
A well balanced breakfast is provided each morning, which includes protein, carbs, and plenty of fresh fruit. Everything on the plate is inspired by the island and it was a pleasure sharing my toasted coconuts with the birds in the morning. Relaxed, refreshed, rejuvenated and returning (soon).

Crystals is a most magnificent and unique getaway. From the moment my wife and I arrived for our honeymoon and arrived at our villa (complete with complimentary bottles of champagne and rum in our fridge!), we felt relaxed and in/among paradise. Our newly-updated villa (Calabash) was beautifully decorated and offered breathtaking views of the Pitons and the surrounding countryside. The private pool was also a very nice touch. It was such a wonderful and new experience to vacation somewhere set fully in the landscape and enjoy its ambiance rather than hole up in yet another cookie cutter concrete hotel.

Each morning, a splendid breakfast was brought to us - coconut pancakes, fresh fruits and breads, and homemade juice (which tasted even more delicious with a little of the champagne or rum mixed with it). We sat on the deck while eating and enjoyed the calmness and the view.

Speaking of food, take a night or two and dine in the resort's own restaurant, Treetops. We ate there twice during our stay and the food was absolutely delicious. The rum punch happy hour is not to be missed either.

Room: spacious but it is rustic so if you’re used to staying in pristine 4/5* hotels, this may not be the best place. You can tell the room has had a lot of thought into it, the artefacts etc.

Animals: bugs, clack clacks and lizards present. I had underestimated how easily the lizards are able to access the rooms so if you are scared of lizards or feel creeped out by them around, think twice. Please also note if you’re scared of cats or dogs, they roam freely in the site too but are friendly. However, if you are creeped out by them, be reassured that there are mosquito nets while you are sleeping!

Service: all staff who delivered breakfast, at the reception and on site were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately our last two days probably influenced this review as the bathroom was notably not cleaned for two days (there were dead bugs on the floor etc and a woman said she would return but did not). But the people at security, in the restaurant etc are lovely,

Breakfast: breakfast is delicious but it can be repetitive (most of our trip was the same thing) so if staying for a few days, just something to note- but it is nice. Would advise to wash your plates etc as soon as to prevent bugs.

Restaurant: pricey but very delicious and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Amazing views too.

Cleanliness: I feel the housekeeping could definitely be better

Access: on a bumpy road entering (not an issue for us but thought would mention for those who get car sick)

Was this a good experience? Yes absolutely.
But would I recommend it to others for the amount of days we stayed here? Probably not.
Note: I stayed for 4-5 days

If a few things were worked on- this place could be rated much better (especially the cleanliness aspect)

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about your recent stay with us. We appreciate the feedback and would like to respond to some of the points you raised. Firstly, we would like to acknowledge that you chose to stay in the most beautiful part of the island, that thrives on eco-tourism. Our property is located in the heart of the rainforest, surrounded by the beauty of nature. It is true, the creatures that provide us with the lulling sounds of the forest sometimes want to offer a private concert inside the villas. We do make every effort to keep them out but they are part of the natural ecosystem, so one should expect to encounter a few critters or lizards during their stay. Cleanliness is of utmost importance to us and we have a diligent housekeeping team. According to our records, there was a day that you declined housekeeping services. There must have been some miscommunication between you and our room attendants. I apologize sincerely. As a family-owned boutique hotel, we take great pride in the warm, welcoming atmosphere we strive to create for our guests. Our friendly dogs are part of our family and staff, Blanca, our rescue is guest relations, and Astro the great Dane works in entertainment. We apologize if their presence was not to your preference. The road around the island is windy and follows the natural terrain of the mountains. The road leading to our property is just about 3 mins off the main road. It is very bumpy but some of the best views are found off the beaten track. We value your feedback and will continue to work on improving our guests' experiences. It was our pleasure to provide you with delicious food, beautiful views, and a friendly and helpful staff. Thank you for choosing our property as your accommodation, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future.

Nestledin the tropical part of Soufriere is Crystals St. Lucia villas, a Caribbean jewel. Anyone looking for a lush, yet chic, classy and unique setting for their vacation, this is the place for you, love the Lemongrass villa. Accomodation in this spacious top class setting villa is out of this world, the view is breathtaking, with artifacts from near and far, this one is my favourite, perfect hideaway. Don't miss out also on the great ambience and exquisite dining at the Treetop Restaurant, there you will experience food to ravish your palette. Make it a vacation to remember, make it Crystals, St. Lucia.

My fiancé and I dined here last night as guests and were blown away by Crystals.
From the first email exchange with Solange who immediately made us feel excited and welcome. This was followed by lovely greetings from the bar staff and kitchen walking through the most beautiful restaurant. We were encouraged by a very enthusiastic and welcoming waiter who’s name I sadly didn’t catch to go to the “top deck” to watch the sun set with a rum punch (yum!). There we were joined by another couple and we had a very pleasant evening sharing our st Lucian and travel experiences and watching the sunset. The owner joined us and entertained us with wonderful stories of how crystals became what it is now.
Solange then took us to our table and we then had the best meal yet in St Lucia! She was so very attentive to all our needs and on hearing we had just gotten engaged turned the rest of our meal into a delightful celebration.
We are now hoping to come back to St Lucia for our anniversary and Crystals is where we plan to stay!

In Calabash it wasn’t too bad- better reception in the upper area. We did not use the TV. 4G worked well.

Review [cont] The owners, Monica and Martin, were always gracious and friendly. Monica always took a few moments to chat, and one day, when we headed to the bar for a bit while our room was being made up, we found out the bar wasn't open yet, but Martin fetched us a couple of drinks while we waited. Such wonderful hospitality from everyone who works there, and the entire resort is so beautiful, you almost can't get enough of it. The small differences, such as having to cover your plates so a couple little birds can't get to the food, or the bumpy dirt road to get to the resort, or the occasional 4- or 6-legged jungles creatures that may find their way into your space, only serve to make the place more charming, and make you realize you're in a wholly different paradise from anything you might have experienced before. I also need to point out just how wonderful our guide Bradley was. While he is not a Crystals employee, he works with the resort to get you to places you like to see (you are up in the hills, so no possibility of walking into town), and helps you with anything else you might need. For instance, we visited the Botanical Gardens in Soufriere one afternoon. There were no tour guides that day, so Bradley filled in for us. Another day, he arrived with fresh coconuts carved out so we could sip the juice. Little things like that which made such a great impression on us. He also arranged for a spectacular boat ride for us up to Castries and the markets therein. He packed delicious fresh sandwiches and rum punch for us for the trip as well. Definitely request the ride when you visit (he'll set you up with Jean-Claude and Abdul, our two wonderful guides for the boat tour). There isn't much else to say, other than you truly have to experience Crystals to get a full idea of what it entails. You definitely won't be disappointed.
