We go there every opportunity we can get. The grounds are very clean and the kids love the park. Walking distance to the beach and a 10min bike ride into town. The sites are big and well maintained, the layout is great and allows for a lot of quality family time.

Another great week at Carson’s this August. Glad the campground is cracking down on drunken loudmouths, this is a family place. No need for unruly kids running around after hours. My kids liked being able to walk into town for bubble tea, which was new this year.

We stayed here Aug 8-15, 2020. We were with family (each on our own site), they had young kids (2 under 5) and ours are older (teens). The security in golf carts were militant, and our kids felt that the staff had it in for teens/older kids. They were yelled at for being off their site after dark, even though later the owner 'Lisa' explained that kids had to be on their own sites by 11 pm. The rules are not clear even to those that work there.
One night, a group of adults was sitting at our site playing cards and talking/laughing, we were told to keep it down (this was before 11 pm).
We have visited this campground before (second time staying there) but this time was a lot different, they sucked the fun out of our vacation.
We will never camp here again, and do not recommend it for families with older (10+) kids.

The whole campground smells like sewage. They’ve packed the campsites into the park so tight and possibly haven’t ungraded their sewage system so all over the park reeks on both sides of the highway. All the garbage barns have been closed since Covid and all trash needs to be taken to one location for them to pick up. All the bathrooms were locked at 10pm, so if you didn’t have a functioning toilet you were out of luck until the next day. Most of the mail t enhance and front desk staff were rude if you asked them a question or even went into the store to buy something. Each day I’d get a text message to my phone retelling me the rules of the park and to make sure I followed them. I’d never go back. I like woodland park way better.

We have been coming to Carson’s Camp for 9 years now every Canada Day weekend with a slew of friends and families, and has always been an amazing time. Unfortunately, 2023 was very different with regard to the campground. Our “premium” site reaked of sewage, forcing us to leave early (I complained and for two days they did nothing) and when I requested a refund for the two unused days after we left they refused and were incredibly rude😳 To top it off, we could not run our AC as their electrical system is so outdated and cannot handle the requirements when the temps are over 24 degrees. Also they had no ice to help counter the heat 🙈 We’ve never been treated so poorly at this campground (or any campground?) with regard to a noise complaint the Friday night…. We shut our cornhole game down at 10:45 and we’re just talking at the picnic table when at 11:08, in storms the “owner” (I believe Lisa was her name) and she was absolutely disgraceful, “guns blazing”/ threatening us to quiet down “or else”, yet when our family walked to their site right after they said there were parties going on waaaaay louder than we ever were and no one shutting them down. Also they allowed some friends to shorten their stay from the 7 day minimum but not others… seems so unorganized.
Over $700 paid for 7 night minimum stay, only 5 nights used, smelling of 💩
This place used to be great, but this year was awful in so many ways. My recommendation, book somewhere else.

Awfully campground no trees ,paved streets , smells like sewage everywhere, potable water smells like sulphur . Looks like an episode right out of trailer park boys . Charging top dollar for a horrible experience . Has a security entrance to keep unwanted out only positive. But keeping everyone out out would save the disappointment.

My Family and I stayed at Carsons from August 13-August 16. We were so impressed with how clean and pretty the grounds were. The washrooms were the cleanest I have ever seen and the showers were also just as clean and had great water pressure! I would recommend Carsons to my most fusiest friends with confidence!

This place was my family and I's home away from home for our entire lives. We spent every summer there and loved it! The camp has always been clean, well taken care of with great amentities! The staff have never really been their best, however the park was so great that it didn't matter. Their prices have gone up so much now that it is almost impossible for families to getaway. I am in shock that they charge so much for just a few nights of camping! It is not right. Young families shouldn't have to spend all of their summer money for just one week there when it's the same price to spend a week somewhere like Florida or Virginia with a timeshare. It's a campground.. Get over yourselves.
