Cozy, quaint hotel on the main strip with all of the upgrades and amenities you need. We stayed in the room with the balcony attached. The room had everything we needed, including space for a cot. The private access to the balcony was great. Upon check-in we were told our room has the most paranormal activity and we were not disappointed when we experienced some usual things in the room. Highly recommend the Albion.

We came to the Albion to celebrate our 20th with my wife’s sister and her husband. What a great little town to relax and enjoy some downtime. Thank you to Judy and all the staff at Albion for an amazing stay at the hotel. Food, drink and accommodations were all excellent. What a cool little hotel….we’ll be back!

This hotel is an anchor in the heart of Bayfield. A bed and breakfast charm surrounded by the quaintness of rustic downtown Bayfield. The rooms are spotless and pleasantly appointed. Breakfast is fresh and fulfilling. Defiantly coming back.

I feel compelled to share with you my family's experience at your restaurant yesterday ( Thursday July 30, 2015). My husband, myself, our two children and my parents were in the restaurant for lunch, placed our order, 6 meals including alcoholic beverages. After approximately 50 minutes of waiting our waitress informed us that due to the new ordering system our meal was missed, but she'd put a rush on it for us. So after an HOUR of waiting our meal finally arrived. The food was mediocre at best, not cook fully. I assumed we'd be offered some sort of discount or a round of beverages on the house, but no such offer came, not even an apology. Next time I'm in Bayfield I will not be eating there again, nor will I recommend it to any friends or family. I understand mistakes are made but it's how we atone for those mistakes that's most important.

Clean and quiet but super basic. Above a pub but surprisingly quiet (the AC drowned out all noise). No closet, only a coat rack. No phone, no TV. You check in at the bar, and this took us about 20 minutes, which would have been fine if I was offered a beer but alas, customers in the Pub come first. Breakfast is beyond basic. The person handling the breakfast set up did not even say hello, even when spoken too. The shower rod in the bathroom is worse than my first apartment. Unfortunatley your choice of locations to stay on the main street is limited and this is the least expensive. We had the base room (all that was left) which, with taxes was $140. Honestly the room is worth $50 room at best, but this is a tourist town with a limited season.

I stayed at the Albion Hotel for a wedding, I arrived at about 6 - dinner rush, and there is no where to check in so I stopped a waitress and she directed me to the bar where I waited for about 10 minutes while the bartender served drinks and couldn't find my reservation in the book, but did after realizing she was looking at the wrong month. Which is very unprofessional that they leave the book just behind the bar with people's credit card information for confirmations in it so anyone can walk in and pick it up. The bartender asked a waitress to show me to my room and she said she was too busy to take me so asked another girl and she did, the other girl was very polite and pleasant and told us about breakfast etc. Rooms are very basic, nothing special, and if you are a light sleeper DO NOT STAY HERE, it is above a bar and it can be noisy. Luckily my husband an ca sleep through anything so it didn't bug us that much. The house keeper was very friendly and was probably the highlight of this place, she always asked if we needed anything and was very nice all round, I would suggest giving her a raise cause she makes the place. Overall if I ever go back to Bayfield I will not return here.

We booked a room at the Albion for a night away for three friends as we were doing a day of shopping and dining in the area. My expectations were not high as i know this is an older hotel that is used a lot for snowmobilers in the winter months.
The room was clean, but there was only one small bed (maybe a queen, but looked more like a double). i had told them there would be three women and they had said they would give us the biggest room. i guess i had assumed there would be two beds, but that is not their fault, i should have clarified. They did provide two cots at my request. The cots had bedding that looked like it had seen much better days. Flannel plaid sheets and ratty comforters/blankets. There were no glasses or coffee maker or anything in room. There was no TV in the room, but we were directed to the one in the common area that looked like the decor hadn't been changed since the 80's, where there was a shared TV. In the room we were given just some towels and a bar of cheap soap. We were directed to the "common room" for a fridge which looked like it was from the sixties. The hot tub was not available as apparently some former guests had broken it.
The breakfast they provided the next day was disappointing to say the least - some cereal, packets of oatmeal and four slices of bread and a toaster. There was coffee, but not enough cream for three people. The person who was doing breakfast didn't come and ask if we needed anything, and we were the only three people in the hotel that night and morning.

Now, if i was paying $100 for this place, i probably wouldn't be so negative. But with taxes in, it was over $186. For off season, i think this is way overpriced. If there had been more amenities, then it would have been worth the price they charged.

If they fix this place up they could easily charge more in peak seasons, but for the price at the time of year we went, i was very disappointed.

We ate downstairs for supper, and the food was good. No complaints there. Typical pub grub.

My friend and I have stayed here every year for the past three years (long weekend in August). Our room was lovely - old-style furniture, nice atmosphere. The restaurant downstairs is very good. Breakfast is included and is always nice - fruit, cereal, bread for toast, good coffee. We'll be back again next year.

My wife and I stayed here for one night - we couldn't have been more pleased.

Our room (#1, with fireplace) was very spacious, with a large bathroom. We stayed on a Friday night and there was no noise, no sounds at all from the restaurant below.

When I asked to buy a cup of coffee, it was given to me without charge (and it was a good coffee).

The morning breakfast was great: coffee, juice, cereal, fresh croissants, fresh bread for toasting, and a fresh mix of raspberries, strawberries, and grapes.

There's a quiet floor-lounge where you can watch tv and a lovely hot-tub on the back-porch.

the least priced inn in Bayfield, you pay for what you get.
I'll start with the good points; the towels were clean and thick and when I asked for a cup of hot water the young lady in the bar brought it up to my room.
Now the negatives; I stayed in room #4. The head board and the foot board aren't from the same bed, there are 4 books under the head board to make it the same height as the footboard. Only 2 pillows. Some windows opened but no way to prop them.
Not that I care but some might, there is no television.
The carpet while it looks fairly new is stained, bring slippers. The curtains on the windows are dirty and appear to be from the 70's. Cheap garage sale pictures on the walls and no less than 3 plastic plants. For about $500 that room could be spectacular; laminate wood flooring, California shutters, a lick of soft yellow wall paint, new & clean duvet.
The shower pees out and if someone downstairs or in another room flushes the toilet;
pressure is lost, and even worse[ make sure to time your showering around the dishwasher cycle. The walls are pretty thin, thank goodness my neighbours weren't in the mood to do the morning nasty but I could hear their conversation. The continental breakfast I was told was served in the common area upstairs at 9am. I was going to eave at 7:30 but curiosity got the best of me so I waited until 4 minutes after 9 and there was one croissant left, a dish of canned fruit cocktail and no mugs for tea or coffee, luckily I had the mug from the previous afternoon. Wifi is pretty slow and not everyone knew what the password was. It was nice to have a door to the balcony but there are benches right under the windows so strangers can sit and enjoy the view of the stores across the street, so make sure you close the bathroom door. No noise from the bar but the outside patio noise and cigarette smoke from the street wafts right up. Check in is slow as it is bar staff that perform this duty.
